Kurt and Courtney (Kurtney) had something musically special when they were together. There’s something about her rage and his ability to go either way (soft or rage)that feels like a hit to the gut. I knew them personally, and believe me, there was just something special between them. Something rare. He actually wanted to stop Nirvana and do Hole with her. I don’t think the record labels would have let that happen, but he was good at instant melody riffs and her strength is lyrics. The loss of potential is truly devastating. It must’ve hurt so much to tour Live Through This. To dissociate and grieve so publicly, without any catharsis. “Sing” “I will” She also gave him that push bc the drive lay in her, and he was able to derive that energy, but at the end of the day, they needed to sit down, get clean, and get therapy. Not that was a big thing back then, but who knows, he might not have been so despairing. Esp since she was forced to grow up after having a baby, getting tested and such, and this man would not stop using. I’ve been in this dynamic bc I grew up around theirs. I can’t impart how much I gave my own talented partner. Pushed them to a standard. We were also addicts. But I was just stronger, and he died. I should’ve died. But like her, I had to live through my romance just dying in the vine bc of my partners lack of ability to get clean. It broke something in me. I won’t speculate with her. I already know.
Kurt recorded more stuff with Courtney and Hole in October 1993, but his vocals were almost entirely taken out of the finished record (Live Through This). Livenirvana explains, “The results [of the Oct 93 session] were less than impressive. Consequently, most of Cobain's improvised harmonies were erased from the final mix. “The only one you can really hear on the finished record is on Asking For It, during the breakdown part where she sings 'If you live through this with me...", Kolderie explains. "He sang on about five or so [tracks in total], probably Violet, Miss World and Doll Parts, I can't remember any of the others." So it seems like the only vocals parts we can hear from Kurt are on Asking for It, though Courtney believes that you can hear Kurt on Softer, Softest as well, saying, “There are harmonies all over [Live Through This] that are Kurt's... you can hear him on Pee Girl [Softer, Softest]..." During that same session, they broke out into a “formless jam with Cobain on drums, Erlandson and Love on guitars and session co-producer Sean Slade on bass.” But that hasn’t surfaced. Kurt's also gave his song Old Age to Courtney, and it was used by Hole, but there aren't any recordings of them playing it together
Funny how these bunch of young kids who were not alive when Kurt Cobain was, think they know what he felt or wanted. He married Courtney because he wanted to, she didn't force him, she was beautiful and if you don't know Hole before she married Kurt, you're not allow to throw your bullshit anywhere.
Nirvana fans who have and continue to dedicate themselves to hating Courtney and participate in that rancid subsection of nirvana fandom culture easily have had a part to play the extreme guilt that caused Kurt to kill himself.
@@NearHavana Lori was good sometimes and could''t hit an actual note other times. Even Kurt asked her why she was out of tune during one concert. I don't know when I've heard Kera, I'll have to look into that. Melora was great but unfortunately only had a short time with Nirvana in 1994.
"*SING*!"
"i will..."
Sounds like my mom nagging me to get ready to go somewhere in the morning. LOL!
Their voices was so beautiful together :(
The voice one .

❤Kurt❤
cool stuff
6:27 Grampa Kurt forgot to put in his dentures.
In a weird way the first one reminds me of Foo Fighters Big Me
Awesome work, this is quickly becoming my favourite YT channel. ❤
Edit: I also think Courtney's voice suits Pennyroyal Tea a bit better than Kurt's...
I am neither a huge Fan of H. But Love goes its way. As we all know 😂 Well i mean The Love of course😂
Kurt marrying Courtney was the worst collaboration of his life. He should had have gone solo, after leaving her and Nirvana.
Nirvana fans who have and continue to dedicate themselves to hating Courtney and participate in that rancid subsection of nirvana fandom culture easily have had a part to play the extreme guilt that caused Kurt to kill himself.
@@NearHavana I liked Melora Creager better.
He would have had to kick the heroin first, it destroyed one of the greatest ever.

I don’t particularly like Courtney, but let people make their own decisions some times

That woman was the biggest disaster and the worst collaboration for Kurt.
Yeah um...I don't like it.
