Another very good build. Some great inspirations and ideas here. Great usage of light, as well as space. Well done. Note: I have to agree with Paul over at Skooled Zone here, in that most of the time "glitching" is mentioned in build vids they're not actually glitches at all. The select-all or group-select is a natural function in the game, yes? So to are the sinking property of the pillars and certain other pieces which are also their natural property/function as well as the rugs where you put something on them and then being able to slide those things around... natural in-game function for those items. Using select-all in conjunction with the innate properties of the pillars or rugs is simply taking full advantage of their various properties. Thus, these build methods aren't glitches at all, they are _*techniques*_.
@@James-wk4bk The interior of The Castle is very "squishy", so you can pillar glitch all sorts of things in there. I built one the Vault 88 pieces outside in the main courtyard, group selected it with the pillar, then I moved the pillar into those areas and carefully positioned them. It took a couple tries here and there but I like the way they came out. :)
I appreciate that you continued your 'scrappy' aesthetic but not simply filling the wall with concrete floor, but made an exoskeleton type of defense. The bar looks great, and with the enclosed space of the room the colored red and blue lights shrine! Also about the Castle being collission friendly as "squishy" is a great way to put it. How did you do the sink piping at 6:38 ? Great to see an evolution of the fireplace. Good to know someone else includes bathrooms in their builds ! The clinic looks great, especially because the dirt decal is applied to the wall. Sure, the turret placement isn't ideal gameplay wise but I love the look of it. The ramps for the rubble is a nice detail ! do you know what is on the left plate on 23:43? Great work as always!

Re: the sink piping, those are actually the sinks that came with the settlement. I just build around them. :) And yes, bathrooms are a must! As for the plate, that's a Mirelurk omelette. :)
Bro I‘m so glad there are these creative minded ppl out there sharing the same passion. I just started FO4 last year due to my uncle’s recommendation. (He played all FO games). I‘m deeply in love with this franchise even building beings a whole different perspective. Love ur work.

Perhaps my memory is flawed. 26:20 Looks like they fed a customer some of Longneck's potted meat and then the patron got mad and used their sink instead of the restroom to do his/her business. 30:41 Looking at that stair entryway I kinda want to try to build it into a hobbit hole. Might be able to terraform around it with statues for rocks and mutfruit for foliage. It would only be a Hollywood facade with nothing inside if I ever did try to build it. 34:49 I blame that kid. Re: Ronnie's shop, it is a really "out of the way" location at this settlement. It doesn't surprise me people generally wouldn't build in there. I like the Hobbit Hole idea! That would look really cool.

Great work. When I post my Castle Build, I am absolutely going to give you recognition for the idea of pillar-glitching pre-fab shacks into the hallways to make new rooms, specifically bathrooms! My 9th and subsequent builds have been slow going since my previous Fallout 4 save got corrupt.
Oh man that's the worst. My last character got corrupted so now I'm starting all over and it's frustrating because I want to start building already! :D
That is a nice build! I'm afraid I did use mods in my playthrough ehehe, bathrooms are a nice touch, I used bathrooms in mine too! (Hope I didn't forget the castle), even built a laundromat in one(I use the Mechanist's Lair to manufacture clothes, non perishable food, ammo and whatnot, provisioners are well-armed robots)...maybe I should do that in all my settlements eheheh
I've only recently found your videos, really like them. I'm sure you know of Norespawns who did a lot of this several years ago (before going to '76)? Really like some of your aesthetics. I especially like your central building around the radio tower and the innovative use of the vault assets. I can't imagine the hours of doing the decorating without mods! Good job!

The Castle looks so gorgeous, building wan never my thing on ps4 because of performance if build a lot of stuff but i got to ask how did you get the railroad as settlements
@@jerryk7862 It's been a minute since I did this one but my recollection is that the settlers came from two sources: the Creation Club Minutemen vs Gunners (where you can recruit Minutemen to join your settlement) and regular ol' settlers who come via the Recruitment Beacon. However, whenever my settlers arrive, I always redress them with clothing that has Ballistic Weave. So any "Railroad" outfits are just redressed settlers. :)
Gotta say I love the build. But with the slow stirring music, dark and rainy atmosphere, and open air living quarters made this build feel like the opposite of hopeful.
But if you have enough turrets it won't matter because they won't get a shot off to damage anything, 😁 Great things around every turn !! ....As always. Nuka-Cade works perfect in that area and nicely done with the build for it SZ way.😎
With how much customization and personalization players can do with each settlement, I'm honestly kind of sad Bethesda never made settlements more important and integral to the story and missions. I really do wish this game had a more robust metagame where players can build up and defend each settlements as they re-develop the Commonwealth. And establish actual customizable minutemen patrols between each settlements as they expand territory.
I took some of the basic ideas from my other fireplaces but this was rather different. I used the concrete doorway and sunk it into the ground for the center. There are concrete wall pieces snapped to the sides. Then tables are rug glitched into the sides to give those distinct wood patterns. Metal floor pieces are on top. The "exhaust pipe" is really this piece from Nuka World: fallout.fandom.com/wiki/Sign_post. :)
My junk placement is largely done by dropping items to the ground, then picking them up and placing them. On the PS you hold down "X" and then use the paddle buttons to rotate.
If you string them together, when one goes down so does the one it’s connected to. If they are connected to the power source independently one can go down but the other will keep on fighting. :)
I'm debating on showing off my Hangman's Alley. I'm not happy with it (it's 75% of what I wanted it to be). I may just do a quickie video but no blog entry just to show it but also discuss what I want to change.

It is, but I've read that it can potentially add to settlement instability, and since this represents three size bars of building (my typical limit) I wanted to be very careful to not break the settlement.
@@BWTF_Ben There is also the settlement size glitch as well, Ive never had issues with instability except building up high, but anyway your builds are dope and really well done.

I notice on the Playstation 4 and 5 after about 3 bars full the settlements get wonky. I absolutely trashed Bunker Hill by trying to push it further (I can't even go there without crashing now). In this case I totally bow to the superiority of PCs because I've seen some MEGA builds on PC that I'd never be able to pull off on my PS!
The Generator for the settlement can be seen at 5:32. :) I use the wire glitch to basically form a "spider web" of wires that run underground and to strategically hidden (and some not-so hidden) locations throughout the settlement. That's generally how I power my settlements. :)
There are definitely mods being run....settlements have a build limit....and the castles build limit is the worse as you hit it after just placing a few items....so I call B.S on the no mod thing

As a “noob” at videos you should probably use more than 2% of your brain before you make stupid comments like this on something you know absolutely nothing about nor do the research when it’s as easy as pressing your fat fingers on a keyboard and abuse a search engine or two.
I love the build, but players need to stop click baiting views with the tag "vanilla" when nothing about their settlement is vanilla. Dlcs and creation club are far from vanilla.
DLC's were extensions of the vanilla games. Mods including the ones in the creation club aren't. This logic is just common knowledge on any game IP. I think you're just hating without really understanding what you're talking about. An opinion without knowledge is no more credible than a child's tantrum.

Only idea I would suggest is build a dock/warehouse behind the castle as an area that trades with spectacle island.

And also how you placed stuff on shelfs and stuff? When you get close to them they get pushed and stuff and its annoying.
How long did it take for u to do this build?
From start to end of decorating I'd probably say about five to six days of concentrated time spread across several weeks. :)
Its a cool build but those walls would be easy to take down irl. Scaffolding against a missile launcher wont do to much.

There are definitely mods being run....settlements have a build limit....and the castles build limit is the worse as you hit it after just placing a few items....so I call B.S on the no mod thing

As a “noob” at videos you should probably use more than 2% of your brain before you make stupid comments like this on something you know absolutely nothing about nor do the research when it’s as easy as pressing your fat fingers on a keyboard and abuse a search engine or two.
I love the build, but players need to stop click baiting views with the tag "vanilla" when nothing about their settlement is vanilla. Dlcs and creation club are far from vanilla.
Where do I use the term Vanilla?
There were no creation club build elements in the settlement. This is vanilla
DLC's were extensions of the vanilla games. Mods including the ones in the creation club aren't. This logic is just common knowledge on any game IP.
