That's why GZDoom is my preferred source port. Might not be accurate to the originals, but I can get rid of that accursed blockmap bug. Plus, with some tweaking, I can get it to more or less look like the original even with the OpenGL renderer.

Ever been so good at your craft, you essentially decide the whole overarching skill ceiling? Zero Master's consistency is more impressive than any of his runs
My personal favorite of the original game, even though it was a later edition its a great episode, I cannot believe your making me look that bad on perfect hatred, thats my warmup level, i clear it out just for kicks.

Ok I can see you're doing E4M6 the way I was thinking. I'm wondering if that route would be possible while doing just that level, not the entire episode. It'd mean killing the cyberdemon with the plasma rifle, but that'd cut almost a minute off the record. Is that possible?
I have to be honest, I don't agree with the convention of disregarding the E4M8 time for the run. Simply because what's to stop a runner doing a 2:51 at the conclusion of E4M7 and then just walking through the final map or even worse just waiting in the first room for five minutes True back in the old Compet-N days that did make sense, but now we have source ports that actually give an E4M8 time we should discard it
