Kilchoman has their own farm that surrounds the distillery. They grow all their own barley. This is my favorite Kilchoman, have had batches 8,9,& 10.

Great review guys! High scores certainly merited. Personally, this is my favourite Kilchoman year over year. The 10th edition is fantastic(as is this one) and the local barley adds extra weight and oiliness for me. On top of that, the 20PPM Islay barley they floor malt, as opposed to 50PPM from Port Ellen, allows some others flavours to sing.
As you mention, there isn't enough capacity at present on Islay to provide barley for all of the distilleries. Interesting that Bart called back to the Bruichladdich Islay Barley releases because the Bruichladdich Rockside Farms Islay Barley used barley that I believe is used in this as Kilchoman use barley from the same farm.
