    Very helpful video as this is my first year growing begonia's and I still have the tubers in the Wilco packets, should I have potted them by now in the greenhouse. Is you greenhouse heated?

    • @_Happysowinghappygrowing
      @_Happysowinghappygrowing  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Les French no it's not I put them on a well lit window sill with plenty of heat from a radiator that seems to get them of to a good start good luck

    Hi. Just come across your videos. Am ready to store my begonias for winter. Am I too late to take cuttings? If not, can I keep the cuttings in the house to root? The kitchen has no heating in it and will be the coolest room. Thank you

    Do the leaf and stem cuttings grow to produce a new tuber?
    .
    I purchased a tuber for the first time this year called; "Odorata Red and White" which should look like one that you showed in your hanging basket. Hoping it all works out!

    Hi thanks for the video! I have a question and would like to hear some advice from you, do you know why does Begonia leaf become crispy and curl inward? What can we do to help alleviate? Thank you.

    • @_Happysowinghappygrowing
      @_Happysowinghappygrowing  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      They usually turn crisp when they run out of water and need watering hopefully this helps

    • @Shimomo27
      @Shimomo27 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      MegaThecandyman Thank you so much this is very helpful! I’m also wondering, how often do u water ur Begonia? I only water when the top inch of soil is completely dry......btw my Begonia foliage has always been crispy and curls inward (except for the new leaf)

    • @Shimomo27
      @Shimomo27 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      MegaThecandyman and does curling inward has anything to do with lack of water?

    • @_Happysowinghappygrowing
      @_Happysowinghappygrowing  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      I try not to let the compost I am growing them in dry out at all in my experience they don't like dry conditions I always make sure I water them enough to keep the compost moist all the times hopefully this helps

    never ever managed to root tuberous begonia cutting. It is impossible.

      What's going wrong

    • @mariusm5660
      @mariusm5660 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      actually i did not try in water but in medium like sandy soil most of them rot and others do no produce any roots though cuttings are alive. They just there in soil with no roots at the end of the summer. This year I try to root in water too. I just wonder can I grow tuberous begonias under lights in house in novermber and december as i am quite desperate for tubers.

    • @_Happysowinghappygrowing
      @_Happysowinghappygrowing  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1
