- Hi Everyone! Lego Technic 42099 6x6 and the 42100 Liebherr take each other on in the big Tug of War Battle!
I’m carrying the series on and not including the giant models in this series at the moment!
The Liebherr has the clutch taken out and the drivetrain has been strengthened quite a lot to prevent gears skipping! Also the wheelbase has been shortened to prevent the tracks skipping as well!

I knew it, I was so surprised that a lot of people voted for the other one, weight over power any day of the week, especially when it has over twice the amount of weight! Epic video, incredible channel, it’s growing so fast!
Hey Easton! I was in the balance as I thought the drivetrain would give way or the motors would stall lol.
I did the carpet pull first and I knew it was over after that! Weirdly on carpet those studs do not grip well as they don’t bottom out, on the wood though they’re so grippy! And thank you😀😀
Not to mention the amount of gripping surface. Tracks essentially make the entire bottom grip, wheels are basically singular points.
I'm surprised how powerful the official Lego Liebherr is compared to the 6x6, wouldn't expect a Lego set to be that strong!
Yeah the torque is great it’s just the standard Lego build couldn’t handle it. I removed the clutches but the drivetrain just skipped teeth so then I put a few beams in there and it’s held up so far.
On a pure strength test it’s not quite as strong as the 6x6 but on the less grippy surfaces it just had weight on its side.
Goodbye 6x6, you will be remembered as a true legend who beat several opponents consecutively 😟

Yeah mainly down to the weight I think, twice as heavy!
Those rubber studs provide great grip on wood too😀

That jaggering and weight advantage really helping it to win as a normal drill vs impact drill and rotary hammer drill principle haha

That’s right! It’s a heavy unit, seems bigger with the arm stretched out. Its more the mass of the thing which is surprising, one solid lump!

@@GazRsExtremeBrickMachines I have a FTX Outlaw that runs a Bugsta body shell, and is more road going. I also have a Bugsta, that I made into a 6x6, with sound module. Also a HG P408 Humvee that is modified. Recently I had an 8x8 HG truck, but it annoyed me so it was dismantled with extreme prejudice! I kind of regret this as it was what made my channel thrive, but tbh it was a boring truck compared to my bugsta. I'm the kind of guy that doesn't like standard kits, and if I can't modify something, then maybe I don't want it.
I really want to hand over a design to you that might beat your best tank, that only you have the skill to build... I can't build it but I have ideas.

Ok I was thinking about a Technic lego vs RC tug of war video in the future and just wondered how big your fleet was and what type of vehicles you had.
I’ve thought about messaging Kevin Talbot but im not sure how far that would get…
I’d love to see a big Technic vehicle against some big rc cars! I’m sure it wouldn’t end well for the Lego but this last tank has surprised me with just how robust and strong it is.
@@GazRsExtremeBrickMachines I wouldn't put Lego against full RC on your high grip surface - loose grip yes!!, but it's up to you. My P408 weighs about 6kg, actually, have a look on my channel and see what they can do. Anyway it has very thick metal driveshafts and metal gearbox. Some of the models out there are capable of huge speeds, maybe if you could stall them and prevent them moving you could have a win + but you'd be putting plastic vs metal. I know that thick plastic can beat thin metal, but Lego's weakest link is axles, and the cross inside of a gear - I can rotate a Lego axle inside a gear with a powerful motor, or twist the axle so it resembles a drill bit!!
I think you would do better to do a trial run yourself before inviting anyone else!!! you could be totally surprised at how good the Lego is, or astounded at how fierce a lipo powered RC can be. Then if you are certain, it's quite easy to get in touch with virtually anyone on TH-cam. I can see the appeal of a big name collaboration however I think I'd need to choose carefully so they didn't try to make an example! And as I mentioned above, the lower grip surface will prevent damage, and also the RC would probably spin up and you'd tow it backwards. Wouldn't want to see you try against the P801 I had because that thing was able to tow an adult sitting on the trailer 👍🍺

That yellow truck is very very good but the front pair of wheels needs weight because it spins and cannot help low grip...

In my opinion the 6x6 would win. I have stopped the Liebherrs tracks/motors turning whilst I’ve never stopped the 6x6s turning, something would break before the motors stall. I’m going to do a little pull test with the 6x6 Liebherr and latest tank. Will film it tomorrow.😀
@@GazRsExtremeBrickMachines Wow, impressive! I can't wait to see that. Perhaps you can replace some of the most stressed technic parts with metal versions which I'm pretty sure you can find online.
I will do this one day for sure! My only worry with metal axles is it puts more stress on other parts like the motor axle connection etc.

Hey thanks! Yeah that’s how I look at it, I’d rather axles twist and snap than a hub or motor connection being damaged.
