At first when I saw the 6x6 pulling the toy I felt underwhelmed but then I realized and WWWOOOWWWW how do riffs take that, mine start cracking easily even if I use two gears per differential! I was rooting for the 42099 6x6 and that was a close match at the end! The model looks sick and how well does it crawl/off road?
Hey Chris I guess Lego did a good job with the design! I too can’t believe they didn’t break or slip, I guess the rear 4 wheels took the strain usually 2 wheels do. And thanks I love the way the conversion looks too! I’m going to do a little video on it this week! It’s great at climbing slopes I know that! I’ve not took it outside yet! Only issue is with that gearing.... it’s slow!!! Lol

For some reason the power wasn’t cutting like normal it just kept going, it could be to do with the buwizz app which I don’t usually use.
Hey thank you very much! Yeah when you see them sometimes they look like they lack grip especially on the wood but it’s only because of the countering force. A close one!
it didn't look like it was actually the motors: the connection between the vehicles was a bit off-center and it was causing the tracked one to list to the side and loose traction, whenever it got pulled back it would right it to straight-on and it would start pulling forwards again, aaaand promptly fall too far off-straight and start getting pulled back, eventually it just didn't catch that traction reset. that little bit of slush room in the geometry you get from the flexible bits in a structure make a pretty massive difference, especially when reliability is paramount

this just shows how much more power the grazer is yet to unlock since its plastic on wood and did really well against the 6x6 which is rubber on wood lots more grip for the 6x6
The only thing holding it back was the teeth skipping, and it's inability to keep the tracks rotating. If the tracks were rotating the whole time it would have won no problem
@@Godsoldiergaming well it needs a higher gear ratio and that problem would be solved. If it had the same gear ratio as the 6x6 it would have won with no problems.
For the first time after a tug of war I did notice black tire marks on the wood! Also the rubber studs do warm up on the tank tracks but it didn’t have the torque.
Those cars have crazy torque! I bet if you customize it you could make it even better!(unless you already did, because I can’t believe that a stock lego set would be that good)

TBH, I knew the 6x6 would win the low traction test, but it was far closer than I was expecting. I thought the Grazer would fail on hardwood, since the 6x6 had rubber wheels, which I thought would give slightly more traction.
Hey thanks for the comment! For saying how wobbly it’s chassis was with those legs it did alright. The drivetrain was powerful, shame it wasn’t on something sturdier😀
0:20, when that guitar kicks in, I can imagine some bloke on stage saying 'Good Evening Milton Keynes, this song is dedicated to SATANN!!!' and the crowd go wild.
To be honest I thought the tank was going to win especially on the low traction surface because it has more surface area in contact with the ground and the tracks should have made it crawl and grab better then tires do , I think with better gears and gear ratio and cooling for motors it would have won all of the tug of wars
Tracks do not add grip. This is a myth that needs to die. Friction is not dependent on surface area. Tracks do not exist for the purpose of creating more friction. They solve other problems that are not terribly relevant in this scenario.
I have a cool concept for a stair climber, you have a small wheel that pops out of the bottom front of the car and moves the car forward until the front wheels are on the step, then a small wheel from the back pops out to bring the back wheels to the step. Then you repeat until all the way up.
Yeah I was sad! Ultimately it needed one more motor on each side! The issue with tracks is they sap a lot of power but like you say it still did great!

So, do you think PU XL motors actually worth using instead of L motors, or it's just about "how you use them"? I'm asking about it because I'm curious if this 42099 can be remade with using L motors instead and would it perform better/worse/same? It's good to see your channel getting noticed, keep it up :)
Hey thank you! With the double gear switch it has so much torque I don’t think it matters which one. The XL spins that tiny bit quicker so it’s probably better but only due to this gear setting. If you were to use the standard gearing or even switch one the L motors would be quite a bit better according to my tests😀
Good day! Very cool video! I want to modify my 42099 like yours, but I cannot understand, do you use an additional XL motor on the third pair of wheels, or does the third pair of wheels spin from the standard one? I have doubts about this, but a free connector in the hub haunts.
Hey thank you very much! It’s an identical rear axle as what you build on the 42099 with another XL motor and I just used a few beams to connect it! All off the one hub works fine 😀
Nice Video, does the toys have their own drivers and builders (like teams that compete against eachother) or do you control and build both of them yourself?

So, do you think PU XL motors actually worth using instead of L motors, or it's just about "how you use them"? I'm asking about it because I'm curious if this 42099 can be remade with using L motors instead and would it perform better/worse/same?
It's good to see your channel getting noticed, keep it up :)
Hey thank you! With the double gear switch it has so much torque I don’t think it matters which one. The XL spins that tiny bit quicker so it’s probably better but only due to this gear setting.
If you were to use the standard gearing or even switch one the L motors would be quite a bit better according to my tests😀
I was impressed before I even saw the chair
😀 Hoping one day to pull something much bigger!
@@GazRsExtremeBrickMachines This channel was an incredible discovery. I subscribed!
Hey thank you so much that means a lot Ashen😀
That's awesome. I need to buy a Lego asap... It's a shame it's so expensive in my country
Hey there thank you so much! 😀 I bought mine off eBay second hand but it’s still expensive!
I don't chew my nails but that last match was a nail bitter!
Damn it panzerkaumpfwagen
😂😂 thanks for commenting
@@GazRsExtremeBrickMachines your welcome, I am suprising the ww1 era tank did not win
I’ll build another soon with a better drivetrain and thank you!
These are monsters in torque!!
Could you imagine that tracked one but with those rubber parts that slot into the tracks…
Hey look closely it has them on, hard to see though 😀
@@GazRsExtremeBrickMachines not many
Epic battle.
Do you think you might show your collection of motors/hubs and technic parts sometime?
Hey cheesy I could do but I don’t want to make it look like I’m showing off in anyway if you get me. I could do a video explaining how I got the sets and how you can sell parts back meaning it cost virtually nothing😀
@@GazRsExtremeBrickMachines yes please do.
@@GazRsExtremeBrickMachines Yeah do what ever you think is best. I’m just interested because you make these awesome creations so what do you work with. Or like your build process? Thanks!
Trial and error! Most things get rebuilt a few times or several parts do! Other than that it’s all in the head which is why it hurts recently haha.
For the tracks on the glazer you can add these rubber pieces studs this adds more grip so I think if you added those glazer would clap
Nice video. I really thought that the tank would have a better grip.
The grazer champion looks like a WW1 tank (yes tanks were made in WW1 with the first tank being made in 1915 as a prototype and in 1916 the first tank entered service) not gonna lie.
Can you try making a suspension based video where you try multiple suspensions
Hey I still need to sort out some proper lighting for videos like this, I tried a instruction one and it looked so bad so I’m looking into it! Trickier than it appears lol
Really cool but the gear skipping hurts my ears lol
Haha thanks mine too! I double up now with this design to stop this!😀
