    That's a very simple way to get the repeater frequencies loaded. Who knew? We all do now. Thanks, JB

    This is 1 Of the best videos for programming an anytone radio As a relatively new ham radio operator, I love the radio ,but it has given me some headaches And most people make demos about code plugs and programming this radio complicated Since this radio has over five thousand conceivable channels You have Show me The way to cut down on my work , Thank you for your
    video I'm now a permanent subscriber

      Don hope it works out easily for you, I had problems getting the CSV from RB to load in the 878 program, if you do as well let me know so I can ask them to maybe update the format or see why. 👍

    Enjoyed that Joe. I just looked out my 878 last week and it took me best part of 6 hours to work out how to reflash the hotspot SD card, configure it and reload the code plug. It's very painful if your not doing it a lot. This will help folks no end 👍

      Thank you Colin! Yea I usually have to think pretty good myself when going back adding or editing DMR since I don't adjust it often. 73

    Another great informative video. Thanks Joe. There was a guy from over in your area that was on our repeater the other day. He said he knows you. 147.120 with a 127.3 tone. You will have to give it a try sometime

    • @K5YVY
      @K5YVY  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks Justin! I'll have to listen for that repeater, I have it programmed in the radio with a different tone as a repeater a good way to my south. That's cool. There was a repeater somewhere up in Easteren TN that when the band was open We could talk on it full quite , couple of us even done it on a good night at 5 watts and a beam lol.

    You always manage to point out a feature of Repeaterbook that I hadn't noticed before. Just wish I had a working computer to download that data. Entering it into the front of my 878UVII Plus is a pain in the patootie.

      @@K5YVY I had no idea Repeater Book had the ability to export custom-formatted databases. No I have no excuse in keeping my radios up-to-date! Here in Georgia, the FM, YSF, and DSTAR repeaters don't change that often. DMR though...whew...DMR repeaters seem to change weekly!

    I love this! I've had an 868 for over a year that I've never used just because I couldn't program it lol. It was supposed to be my upgrade from Baofeng and I'm still rockin' Baofeng.
    This will probably get me to using it daily, my only issue is I don't know what application you opened that downloaded file in, I'm sure you mention it in the other video you mentioned in the beginning, I'll check that out next!

      @@K5YVY sir I have been loving my new radio thanks to you actually helping me make it usable! It's way more sensitive than my Baofeng (I know that sounds like an obvious statement lol) and also it has a "turbo" mode which gets up to 7 watts! Very nice little radio!

      So I use a baofeng as a police scanner do you think it’s possible to use the anytone as a police scanner too?

    • @K5YVY
      @K5YVY  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      It would be, although public safety frequencies would need to be got from radioreference , plus is if any public safety is using MotoTurbo or related DMR you would be able to listen with your AnyTone. It will not hear P25 or other digital formats.

    • @alexahedo85
      @alexahedo85 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@alexahedo85 😎 although I think I would rather have one of those rather than my radioddity DMR , I think I’ll have to pass for now Alex.
