One thing that has always stuck with me is Jesus preached the word of God not religion for all religion is man made. Different religions have their idea but most religious people are not committed and use it to prop themselves up and become self righteous. You do not need religion to be one with God. Most people do not even understand the Bible yet claim they are religious. Be true to God obey the 10 commandments. People look for what's in the Bible to justify the way they think and preach. Religions have their own interpretations. People who go to church want the feeling of community and they belong to something larger than themselves, and there is nothing wrong with that as long as you are truly committed. Do not use religion to prop yourself up and think you are better than anyone else

It seems like from her story as shown here her conversion looked to be about three points.
    A. She was convinced that being Catholic is a Christian religion, too.
    B. She converted as a way to remain with her husband to be and worship with him.
    C. She likes traditional worship better than contemporary.
She converted to Catholicism, not because of their doctrine or because of a belief that this is the one true church, but because it was more appropriate because her spouse to be is Catholic. This was her preference, not a God ordained move. (She basically changed churches like. Protestant would change churches)

    • @NaruIchiLuffy
      @NaruIchiLuffy 9 วันที่ผ่านมา

The Catholic Church has always been against forced conversions. As the Catholic Encyclopedia on "Religious Toleration" states, the Church has "always taken great care that no one should be compelled against his will to embrace the Catholic Faith, because, as Augustine wisely declares: 'except he be willing, man cannot believe.'
The Church's consistent teaching is that forced conversions are incompatible with the nature of faith, which must be a free response to God's invitation. The Church has consistently opposed coercion in matters of religion throughout its history.
Giving reasons or testimony for your belief ≠ forced conversion

@@tony1685The Catholic Church holds that the Sabbath is holy and is one of the days that can't be a fast day(except for the case of the Easter Fast). The Lord's day though is greater than the Sabbath due to the Resurrection and Christ's victory over sin and death. Don't fall into the trap of judging others for their day of rest as St. Paul states in Colossians 2:16-17. The Church has celebrated the Resurrection as Superior since the very beginning. I figured I would bring up some Bible verses showing Sunday's significance as the Lord's day: 1 Corinthians 16:1-2, Luke 24:1-13 and Luke 24:30-31, and Acts 20:7.

in fact, this was the same trip to Corinth that Paul took in Acts 18:1 -- now read Acts 18:4 to see where they were every Sabbath.
      Luke 24 changed nothing.
Acts 20:7 -- this was simply a late Sabbath evening meal.
it's amazing how you miss: Matt 12:8, Mark 1:21, Mark 2:28, Luke 4:16, Acts 13:42, Acts 17:2, Acts 18:2, etc, etc, etc

@@tony1685 Jesus bestowed a stunning degree of authority upon the first leader of the Catholic Church:
"And I tell you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of Hades will not overcome it. I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven; whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven (Mt. 16:18-19)._
The word "whatever" in Matthew 16:18-19 underscores the extensive and far-reaching authority granted to Peter. It indicates that Peter’s decisions in binding and loosing matters on earth will be validated in heaven, signifying divine endorsement and the significant responsibility placed on him.
So, the one Church founded by Jesus worships on Sunday because that Church has the authority to make that decision.

@@user-rp3jt4ik2l The argument of first cause is a prime example of Special Pleading which is a logical fallacy. The premise on which this argument rests is essentially “Everything that begins had a cause”. However, the “solution” to the problem of the Universe’s existence posited in this argument is that a god exists, which both exists and has no cause. God is created as a special exception to that universal rule. This is a logical fallacy known as special pleading. In this case, at least, it basically means that the conclusion of the argument is inconsistent with its premises.
