This Method worked for me Thanks, you have to only copy the 3 files over that are on the zip folder of he download, as for the last part the update failed, but it worked by going in more settings and launching from there
Double-check your version, this only updates to version 6.0.1 and Android security patch level Aug 1 2016. It won't work for mine which is already running version 7.1.1 and has Android security patch level Feb 1 2017.
Isn't there a way to reinstall the OTA Updater? The method described leaves too much margin for error. People are losing their WIFI. This same box is made by different manufacturers, and may require different ways to update them. The come with no manufacturer name, or contact info. People are reporting different chipsets than advertised as well. Mine turned out to be a fake 4k, with a broken updater. Should have went with the Nvidia Shield, but got sold on the 3 gig processing speed.

Hi mate, can I get your help, when I turn on my t95z , (on the stand by screen where it says kodi apps browser etc,) I cant get my cursor to move to any section can’t get to settings apps etc, tried new remote replaced batteries you name it I done it, i even do complete factory reset with holding a pin in , but this is the strange part my remote works in there to select the options like factory reset reboot restart etc, so I went ahead done re-boot everthing restarted as normal but on the main screen again remote won’t move to select kodi apps setting etc , any help please

With mine I noticed when I use the aftermarket keyboard to type in my password for the wifi it just bounces back and forth between authenticating and saved and it will not connect. When I actually use the keyboard that is on the TV screen it goes through and connect it states that it's saved. I don't know if this is any help to your problem but it took me awhile to figure this out

My box is terrible it's buffering like the first generation fire stick. It's a brand new box t95z Plus 3 gigs Ram 32 gigs memory sunvell brand. When I stand next to it and check my phone that is connected to the same WiFi it shows 144gbps . I don't think it's my internet connection. But I am going out to buy a ethernet cord and hardwired to cross off that concern. Anything else anybody can think of? Or maybe I just got a shity box from gearbest
I had the same issue but if you go into the more/ advanced options it will give you basically the same menu in there you turn on the WiFi it worked for me.
What you're not explaining is that you need to remove any SD Card or the the subsequent OTA upgrades from v0007 will fail. Thumbs down from me I'm afraid.
so how do I save a complete backup of the T95Z so I could restore in the event of an issue in the future ? I clicked on backup and it made a backup but it never showed me where it put it. I had in my usb stick and expected it to ask where to store the backup and I was going to choose my usb stick but nothing ever came up except to tell me the backup was complete...but where did the backup go ?

1) Yes you can side load APKs
2) There's no need to sideload Kodi, you can just download it from the Play Store.

How to get out of restricted profile
It did not work. My system finds every other zip file I have except the one I downloaded!

You can. It shouldn't take much longer than an SD card, maybe 3-5 minutes.
