WRITTEN INSTRUCTIONS:
Hi, Guys! Today in this tutorial I will show you how you flash these cheap Chinese Android boxes. Now one thing to note is that finding the correct firmware for your
Android box is very important so I will include some links from where you can download the firmware files for your device.
Requirements
USB to USB cable
A toothpick common pin or papper pin
And your android box
First of all
Download the Amlogic USB tools from the link in the description.
Now extract the zip file and double click on the setup.exe file
click on Yes to grant Adminstrative permissions.
press next next and then install.
on the next prompt just click install.
After the installation is completed, we will continue on the device's drivers. Open device manager on your pc.
Now using a common pin press the reset button avaialable on the backside of the Android box. Once a unknown device is displayed on the device manager right click on it.
Click on update driver.
click on browse my computer
then click on let me pick from a list of available drivers on my computer
click have disk
and browse to the location where you have installed the amlogic USB burning tool
select and install the driver as shown in the video and you are good to go.
Disconnect the Android box from the PC.
Now open up USB Burning tool and select English language as shown in the video.
click file and select the firmware for your android box
then click on start.
Now connect the USB cable while pressing the reset button on the back of the android box using a common pin
once you see the process on the USB burning tool displaying message formatting you can leave the resetting button now
wait for the process to get completed
once you see a green message displaying 100% Burning successfully disconnect the device from pc and power it on normally.
Now the device should be able to boot normally.

Make sure u have developer mode enable. By doing this just go into your settings about phone click on build a couple times and you'll see that it'll say that you're so many clicks away from becoming a developer then go back into your settings go all the way to the bottom and you'll notice that there's a settings called developer options click on it scroll down until you find USB debugging mode select it and your problem should be fixed

I can’t did the update firmware for my android box. It is model: SMART BOX. The operating firmware is version 6.0.1. Build is 20170206.19:10. The serial number is weird. It is 0123456789abcdef. Android security patch level dated June 1, 2016. There’s an update link, but it always gives an error: “Check Failed!Check Your OTA Servier Agent”.
I think I was duped by a ‘fly by night’ android box manufacturer. It was a high end android box back in 2016. I would like to update its firmware, but I don’t know which firmware I should use. Wold you know.
I don’t want to brick the device and it still works, but eventually an update will be required for it to work.

hello, i tried this method on my senic x96 mini and it doesnt work for me it stuck in 1% and said [0x10103005]romcode/initialize ddr/download buffer/read item data failed . and I tried to flash it with an sd card and it didn't work I tried lots of techniques and nothing my box stay with a red led please if you can help me. thank you man .
You may have the wrong firmware, check the chipset to see the number reference.
