- RARE complete footage of Buckethead's epic 'Interworld and The New Innocence' performed at Slim's In San Francisco, September 20th 1998. 22 years ago today!!!
Filmed by Kurt Strubeck the VHS footage was given to Buckethead 3 months later at a show and was later included (partially) on his Secret Recipe DVD. Now here it is in full.
Performing as Praxis, the line-up that night was Buckethead, Brain, Bill Laswell & DJ Disk.
Huge thank you to Kurt for providing me (and Buckethead) with the original recording of this show! And for giving Buckethead the Mr Potato Head that's sitting on top of his amp. Woo!!

Just wow, I can’t believe you found the full performance of this song. The transition at 3:33 is everything I thought it would be. I love the emotion he played with after that part. No other live version sounds like this. I remember waaaay back then during the beginning era of TH-cam, I somehow stumbled across this scene from Secret Recipe. That was my first memory of Buckethead.

This is by far the best version of Interworld I have ever heard. The three minute guitar solo is just incredible (one of BH's best solos imo) and even though the audio quality is pretty bad due to the amplitude exceeding the volume cap, I think it adds even more emotion and atmospere to the performance.

Easily the best version, and it has always been for me even at the time when only the solo part was released... There is something unmatched about his presence during that show. The solo is so simple for bh standards but it just hits so-fucking-hard. His posture, steady and sure vibrato on the key notes, body language, the guitar and the outfit, lights, brain the background... This might be not only be my favorite BHs live performance but my favorite performance ever in general.. speechless
