Buy some bull clips, and use them to store the hotwater bottle, by hanging from the bottom. This let's them dry properly, and stops the sides sticking together, without putting undue strain on the rubber. Been using this method for 2 and half years on the same bottle, and it's still in good condition.

Padded (Aldi) slippers are great! We use Fleecy ‘teddy bear’ bedding on two quilts, one under us and one over us. Thin and thick - swappable depending on the temperature. We can wear fleece pyjamas when it gets really sub zero. It’ll be spring soon…
