Love the airport, as a pilot, I am pleased, and that’s rare hahaha. One observation, when u unlock the tile beside the airport, u could smooth a little bit the mountain so the approaches are “safer” haha. greetings from Brazil
I wonder if the trash problem at the terminal is because you’ve got a bus only lane as the entrance? Just guessing though. I’d like to see how you fix / fixed that in the next episode. Aside from that, love the series, nice to see something in vanilla that I can learn from. You’re a natural at this game!
The concrete pathway trick is so simple and yet it absolutely makes an airport look so much better! I'm definitely gonna take some inspo from this, my airports tend to be totally overbuilt, when working with constrained space can often lead to much more creative builds. Airline name idea: Aircandy, kinda like eye candy xD I'd love a dark forest green for the airline colour.
Love how there is so much in the city in a compact size -now with the airport everything fits together so well. I like the red color for the planes, coordinating with the red accents of the airport. I also like that Fewnilla County is a place for a medium sized city, and is not a big metropolis. a medium sized city with this kind of airport has its own vibe, and very realistic for this map. I could see that the area on the other side of the river where the planes ascend would be kept open with agriculture, industry, because you would not necessarily want to live with the planes overhead.
For a city with barely any people yet this is PERFECT! Can't wait to see the town grow to the point that it "needs" (CS cities don't really FEEL impacted by airports anyway) a bigger airport. Nicely done as always.
HI Few, ussually fuel is not stored so close to the airport terminal and runway. When shit hits the fan it's a potential bomb... It's pumped with pipelines to the airport from a safe distance.
uhh thanks for the heads up. I was trying to fill an empty lot near a runway and put some fuel storage there cause i thought it would make sense but yeah, in case of an emergency, that's just a bomb waiting to explode.
@@mygetawayart can be one tank for buffering. Usually they have some form of buffer underground or close to the airport. These fuellines in the Netherlands for example run from Rotterdam harbor to Schiphol.
Really love the airport! My only gripe is the pedestrian road. It would make dropping off friends/family hard since they'd have to be dropped off super far from the entrance. I think a one-way road with bus and car is more practical. Also...I think that's why you're not getting services to the terminal building. That said, always love your creativity and detailing! ❤
For over a century that plot of land was farming, ranching and most recently a dairy farm. (Coincidentally operated by the Dairy family.) The airline could be named Dairy Air in their honor.
Great build, has given me inspiration for my airport. Just one thing , you may want to prune the trees at the ends of your runway, saves picking branches out of the undercarriage and will reduce messy bird strike 😆😆.
Amazing that those stands work without concourse access! A couple things to make it even better. First, a ped area service point will be needed to cover the terminal so trash can be collected (and I believe the policy to collect everything within the ped area). Secondly the aircraft by the far side refuelling station don’t have any access back to the terminal etc, some airport apron would make that visually possible.
This is great Few! I've not bothered with this DLC on PC, but if I had it, I would definitely look at a smaller airport like this. It's great. I might see what I can do with the flying club and a few mods.... Thanks for inspo 🙂
Overcharged egg needs to take note on the acceptable size of a regional airport 😂. You did a great job because the airports dlc probably needed a few more features to be easy! Airline name idea: Fewnilla southern (based on China Southern) and maybe a nice red or light blue!
It is a shame I did not start watching this channel until recently. I think AirCandy would have been a great name for the airline. And if you wanted something punny it could be AeroCandy. Aero is a chocolate bar where I am from. Dunno if other countries have it or not, probably.
I think you have a couple of nodes too close together at 50:07 causing traffic to stop when it doesn't need to and creating a back up. Deleting & redrawing a longer bit of road might fix it.
Maybe around the standalone gates, you can put some limos and it would be were the A listers take private planes, (celebrities and all of their entourage or their band for a concert?)
Hello!! I absolutely love your videos!! The creativity is just😍😍 by the way, will you be continuing the planet zoo series?? I would absolutely love to see what else you have in store!!
Thank you! And yes I am continuing the planet zoo series, Cities just takes priority for me so it's about finding the time, but there should be a new one out soon!
I know I'm a few weeks late, but how awesome would it be to have a camping site on top of the mountain under the airport approach path? Those poor campers would be blasted out of their tents by plan exhaust every time one came in for a landing.
Loving Airport ❤️,its so Efficient, 1 Single airport can Serve Passenger and Cargo plane airplane ✈️ with nice addition of Museum,Hotels and Service point. Now i think to its to add a Entertainment District Area for Tourists, like Arena🏈 🏟️ Big Shopping Center 🛍️ Casino and Universal Studio's 🌎 like Leisure Area 😎. Tourism 🧳🛩️ is one of the best Money making Investment 💰,bcoz Tourist tend to spend more 😎.
Your voice sounds more husky in this episode. Also it sounds like you're saying "Cucumber Here" rather than "Few Candy Here". Am I missing something? Also, how do the planes parked on the far side of the runway get onto the runway? And I think there should be a service road around the back of some of these areas to keep trucks and vehicles off the tarmac IMO
This was me trying to record through being really quite sick, thanks for pointing it out! 😜 Also if you look closely in the thumbnail I did join up the tarmac at the back, and the paths are meant to act as service roads!
I just realised how unrealistically steep the approach is on the runway, not sure if you changed it becuase im only halfway through the video but it would require the plane to do an almost vertical drop before landing. 😉
Aaaaaargh! I'm TRYING to build this bloody water park, but now you're distracting me with airports... (Sternly wags chiding paternal finger 🧐) I'm struggling with getting the bleedin' slides working, but shall persist. Now, of course, having seen this, I HAD to try removing concourse from some of my aircraft stands. I can confirm that it DOES work. One slight hitch, though, if you lose the concourse, you also lose the airbridge, so passengers will dismebark onto the airport apron. I am in the throes of experimenting with fencing off each stand and forcing passengers to take a gatehopper bus. Also, having removed the concourse and airbridge, I now have A380s and 747s stopping at SMALL aircraft stands, which they didn't do before. Since the aircraft stair props are not animated, you can't achieve realistic-looking boarding, and even if you could, none of them are large enought to service an A380. (I HAVE actually had to do that at Dubai airport. Flying in from wintry Manchester, walking into a 42degC blast of desert heat was QUITE the shock!)
I’m confused why you like those aircraft stands not attached to a concourse- except private jets, walking out on the apron to get on a passenger flight is basically nonexistent post 9/11. Doesn’t really make any sense to me Also, is the only reason you’re adding those paths for extra random lights? If there’s no taxiway (blue lights anyway) or runway (white and some red), there wouldn’t be any lights there at a real airport. Also, I get the urge to add lots of undergrowth and trees , but those ones right by the airfield would probably be cleared because airplanes and birds don’t mix 👀👀👀 Sorry to be the airplane police member coming for your build 😅😅
