SADC ELECTS NEW LEADERSHIP

The 42nd Ordinary Summit of SADC Heads of State has elected President HAKAINDE HICHILEMA as incoming Chairperson of the organ on politics, Defence and Security cooperation.
The summit has also elected DRC President FELIX TSHISEKEDI TSHILOMBO as Chairperson of the regional block.
The summit which was held in the DRC capital Kinshasa, yesterday also approved the appointment of ANGELE MAKOMBO N'TUMBA, a citizen of that country as the new SADC Deputy Executive Secretary for Regional Integration.
