    I appreciate you sharing how long it took to get it out. Now I know not to get frustrated after 30 seconds of trying.

    I appreciate that you were showing everything as well as talking about the difficulty of removing the fixture. Thanks to you I was prepared for this.

    So happy to see it’s a quick fix, despite the difficulty of taking it out and putting it back. I’ve never chanced a turn signal, so I didn’t know what to expect. Thanks for uploading this.

    I like to leave tip when you're installing a turn signal light or headlight make sure you don't touch the bulb with your bare hands because oils on your hands may shorten the life of the bulb your installing in your vehicle. you can use rubber gloves or paper towel to install the bulb you need to replace.

    Very well done & Thank you.... When I have it out I always replace all the bulbs on both sides of the car
    (I add a tiny bit of anti seize to any metal screws/bolts, just a little)
    Also, when doing this I learned the differences between 922 & 921 | 3057 & 3157
    Thanks again!

    One thing that helps with getting the headlamp out is a pair of those safety gloves that adhere to things.

    My cobalt has a cover/shield in the middle front. It covers the inner bolt. Looks like push button type pins. Do they just pop up? Is there a trick?

    • @rtspacer_hd
      @rtspacer_hd  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      If you are talking about the dark panel in the middle held down by black fasteners, the nearest fastener(s) should be removed to allow room to get to the inner bolt and get the headlamp out. Any kind of prying tool should be able to get under the button in the center of the fastener(s).

    Hi there. I followed your tutorial. Thanks for posting it. One concern-- when I was placing the headlight back in its original spot, the small metal piece that's used to hold the second bolt in place fell inside the vehicle, and I've been unable to retrieve it. Do you know what specific piece I'm missing so I can replace it?

    • @rtspacer_hd
      @rtspacer_hd  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hello, I really hope you can get that piece back! I researched this for awhile and I think that small metal piece is part of the black headlight bracket behind the headlight assembly. That bracket looks like this: www.amazon.com/Replacement-Chevrolet-Passenger-Headlight-GM2509106/dp/B004GD1J6G
      I wonder if you would get that metal piece back if you manage to get that bracket off?

    WoW...I've got to do this now, thanks for the video. I'll let you know how hard/ez it was.
    UPDATE...Changing mine out was very ez, after taking the 2 bolts out I was able to pull the headlight out without any issues...like less than 30secs. THANKS!!!

      Thank you for letting me know how it went! Glad this helped, and I'm really glad to know that pulling out the headlight was not the struggle for you that it was for me!

    Also forgot to say dont touch the new bulb that one prob didn't last very long and you don't need to take the light out... you can turn and unlock it.

    Thanks! GM doesn't make it easy, do they?

    • @rtspacer_hd
      @rtspacer_hd  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      No especially when taking out the headlamp assembly. I'd rather do either taillight or the high-mount stop. I like the simplicity of these lights though and not having to deal with any LEDs
