Thanks for the video. We were able to change out the switch relatively easy. The hardest part for us was screwing the panel under the steering wheel back on, it didn't want to cooperate.
Great video. Great step by step explanations. Best of all the other cobalt turn signal replacement videos. Could not have done it without the video. Knowing where all the locking clips are makes it easy to apply pressure in the right place to remove trim without cracking it. Got the part for $30 on Amazon. Saved hundreds of dollars versus taking it to a shop. Oscar is the best.
Thanks man that was well done, My moms got a G5 and the switch is not functioning properly and I had no idea how complicated it was going to be to fix it. Your video shows its no big deal even tho the dealer wanted almost $300.
Brother Oscar Ruiz I just want to let you know that I love your video!! I just changed that same part in my 2009 Chevy Cobalt LT this morning. But for me I have to change the wiper control lever too! I'm just waiting for the part to come . Both of them are CRACKED UP! But I know for sure that the sun's heat played a major role in that. Thanks Oscar for showing and explaining EVERYTHING in superb details. George 😎
Thanks for the video. All went smoothly, except I can't line up those screws on the bottom panel when reinstalling. I've left it for now as the daylight is running out. Then I go to park the vehicle and the new lever isn't cutting out after a turn in either direction.
Thanks so much! I would always disconnect the battery before working on something electrical, though. I am a bit of a klutz so could short something out!
Thanks, Oscar this was really helpful. I thought about not removing those side trim pieces but ultimately that was the way to go. Popped right in and out
I've seen other videos where they recommend unplugging the battery first. I notice you didn't mention that. Was that a preference from others or did you just not mention that part?
2009 Pontiac G5 here. My headlights go out when I use my turn signals. It was a repaired ignition recall 3 years ago. Anyways, the electrical on this car is odd.Any advice?
Did you notice the right turn signal flashes more quickly than the left turn signal? What does this have to do with the installation of the switch? Defective switch?
To anyone needing to do this as I just repaired my turn signal wand in my 06’ cobalt. The first 2 steps are completely pointless and unnecessary as I had no need to do this to repair mine and it took a total of only :15 minutes to complete and be on my way again
Thanks...I appreciate your attention to detail and the way you let the viewer see all of those details. You have great teaching skills.
Thank you SO much for this video. It was very informative.
Thanks for the video.

Gracias, Oscar. Great content.
Great video, thanks! Mine won't cancel after turning. I'm guessing it's the turn signal switch at fault as well, wouldn't you say?
90% of the time it will be. Change it out and let us know. Thanks for watching.
Good video. You save me about $200.00.
Do you happen to know if you have access to the factory car amp or were you able to see it at all going in the way you did?
keep practicing lol why did the first panel have to come off ?

Any idea why my turn indicator won't stop after I complete my turns?
What size bolt is it ? On the bottom 3 under the steering wheel
Hi, I believe they may be 10mm or 8mm
Did you notice the right turn signal flashes more quickly than the left turn signal? What does this have to do with the installation of the switch? Defective switch?
Hi rebecca, the cobalt ended having a burn bulb in the right passenger rear tail light. That's why it was blinking fast
