Whenever a show starts to say that something is "found on every continent" I always expect to hear "exept Antarctica". However, turns out insects can even live there too; antarctic midges, drain flies and cuteorm moths have all been found there, clinging to live in that frozen hellscape. Really goes to show just how resilient they are.
are you sure the cutworm moths arent from islands off Antarctica? Only moth species recorded in Antarctica has been a human commensal grain pest (Indianmeal Moth) that got in presumably through food and can't survive at all, but the flightless antarctic midges are indeed amazing
@@dorothywasrighttho5129 I disagree. No bugs in lava. How salty does water have to be? I know the Dead Sea has critters, but are they "bugs"? What about the rugged mountains of Antarctica? There are bugs everywhere lol. It may sound off topic but I chanced on this cool translator that does everything and more of what a translator should have, name is Immersive Translate and one thing that can really help is it’s new feature, which lets you create a custom AI expert for translating anything. Thank me later, it's gold.
