    Turf tank have a lot of things to improve on, having got the turf tank 2 it’s great in the summer but if you have wet pitches in the winter the wheels will leave you lines every where to where it’s travels we have constant issues with the safety bumpers and signal at times

    Turf tank would be very ideal for the initial marking of the field without lines to follow, after you come back to repaint the line in 2 weeks, then the manual one would be a lot easier i feel because all ur doing is tracing the line.
    I always find the setting up ropes and measuring is the hardest part of it all and time consuming

    The idea is not to have an operative standing around and watching it though. You mate could be off repairing a mower, checking goalposts. The manpower input is the set-up time and paint top up time. You have effectively marked two pitches in the time it would have taken to mark one.

      True! But when it constantly blips you can’t afford to leave its side!

    This is great information. Our school is looking at Turf Tank One.
    Looking for information other than from the marketing team.
    What is the cleanup time after each use?
    What is the range of the satellite to tank?
    Does it need to be moved to each pitch or can it work off 1 location.

    • @cutcrewltd
      @cutcrewltd  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Cleanup is a breeze!
      The range varies on location, but we have issues with over 100m on ours.
      It can stay in one place but if it’s out of range it must be moved!

    Have you tried out the turftank 2? We had a demo recently and they made some pretty bold claims about it's speed

    Hey mate. I noticed you said you can do an initial mark up in 40mins to an hour. Can you elaborate or make a video on how you get this done? Takes me that much time just to measure the field, square the corners up and lay down the string lines.

      @cutcrewltd  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Absolutely mate🤏 I’ll get a video up of our process, but we do have some Jigs made up for a perfect corner 90

    I think the question foremost on my mind is cost. How does the robot's initial and ongoing cost compare to human labor? If it takes half a day but can work unattended, that's fine for me.

    • @cutcrewltd
      @cutcrewltd  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      In my personal opinion you still have the Labour costs with the tank, not ideal

    I help run a football club, we have 1 11v11, 1 7v7, 1 9v9 and 2 5v5 pitches which all need painting throughout the season. After walking many miles yesterday trying to measure a square 11v11 pitch i'm thinking of getting a turftank but i am wondering what it's like when changing paint colour. We have a red pitch over a white pitch for space and multiple uses so am keen to know what's best. What you think?

    Aren’t you just painting over pre-existing lines that were previously painted? Measuring out the pitch, making sure it’s correct before painting is a royal PIA that the Turf Tank removes from the manual side of things. That’s where the time is saved. Just my $0.02

    • @cutcrewltd
      @cutcrewltd  ปีที่แล้ว

      Sure; for video purposes,
      However in this video we do mention that, people buy the machine for over marking expecting to save lots of time.
      We conduct initial marks manually and with a robot; 90% of time an experienced groundsman can beat the robot and retain the accuracy.

    How long do your lines last? What is the paint to water ratio you use? I am only getting them to last a week at best, and we only have games on Saturdays.

    • @cutcrewltd

      We use 10 litres of paint to 15l of water!

    Our small town has one football/soccer field and one Little League field. The town wants to lease a turf tank. Is it worth it?

    • @cutcrewltd
      @cutcrewltd  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      In my opinion no, you’d need to be marking a hell of a lot to warrant it for 2 fields!!

    Useful. However you only really proved that the tank took 5-6 minutes longer than you but did perfect lines?! There is the set up time but once done you can now go and do something else which is where the savings really come in. For a contractor I can see where you feel time is money if you are only line marking. An in-house team would have a million and one other things to be doing while the tank marks.

      We have used the TT for over 2 years, there is no way you can leave the TT1 alone, it always has needed someone to watch it, I’m led to believe the TT2 is a lot more reliable!
