I believe you got the QJ facing the wrong way when under the car, where the sticker / logo on the QJ should be facing towards the heavier side of the car where engine is...
Car is 50/50 balanced so doesn’t matter which direction.
Nice! There’s so much space for activities now!
Yours is one of the better videos I’ve watched for quickjack. I just wanted to make a couple points. The only reason they switch to the hydraulic thread sealant is because people were using the tape incorrectly. Also, it’s a hydraulic pump unit not a compressor.
As usual, thanks for the great detail. All of your STI videos over the years have been instrumental in the build of my 2018. I have also found some of your BMW content helpful in the maintaining/upgrading my wife’s 2019 X3. I have been contemplating a quick jack purchase for awhile. This video has solidified my decision on purchasing one. Thanks again for all of the content. 🤘🏻
I’m glad I was able to help! Thanks for the support.
Excellent instruction video..
Thanks so much… Quick Jack made the right decision sending you one..
Congrats man! I also have a QJ to work on my F87 and have loved how much clearance it gave me at the highest setting. Use the QJ frequently to keep the O-rings lubricated as they tend to dry up, and you'll small leaks at the joints.. I initially used liquid sealant and let it settle for 2 days but eventually developed a leak also. Ended up using teflon tape and they've been great since (it gets messy when you remove it though). Last, I usually pump the air to 50psi since I lose about 8psi when I disconnect the valve. Last last note is to use jack stands behind the QJs as a safety precaution. Have fun and stay safe!
Best Quick Jack tutorial!! Thanks for the detailed instructions. I hate reading all instructions, though I don’t just wing it lol. Only critique is that the connections to the pump. Start the bottom one first and no issues whatsoever with the top one.
This was the best tutorial I have ever seen for any product I have purchased. Quick Jack should use this video along with their manuals. I would still use jack stands for added safety.
Glad it has helped! Tried to be as thorough as possible.
Thanks! I'll be using this as a reference when I put mine together!
Congrats dude, a long time coming for this one!
Thanks man!
You mentioned sheetrock on the garage walls. I used 5/8 plywood with fire block red “silicon” between the boards on the top half of the garage. The options to attach items to the walls really opens up.
I ended up doing the entire garage. Check out the series th-cam.com/play/PL5DDC2capRJu06Qhpi4Ojikl0gw6LI7gB.html&si=G_9IvfmOHjhptTiP
This was my path too. Highly recommend
Nice! Used the same jack when I changed the rear diff bushings. Made my life easier... quick tip, when it reaches the lock position, press down for maybe 5-10 secs to depressurize the system. If you disconnect the fittings w/o relieving pressure, you'll have a hard time re-connecting them and may even damage the fittings.
Appreciate the tip. I’ll be leaving the fittings connected at all times, but I did hold down for quite some time for that reason alone.
Man what a great walkthrough video on the Quick Jacks
Tried to be as detailed as possible!
You deserve this!!! Congrats on the partnership!
Thanks for the video. If I was using that, I would have a jack positioned in the front and the rear, both lifted up and touching lift positions in the front and the rear. I know that it is very unlikley that the Quick Jack would fail with the locking mechanisms engaged, but I would definitely feel better with the extra jacks in position.
I hear ya. Can’t ever be too safe. However the jacks in those positions would limit your ability to work under the car. I’ve seen people put jack stands in the quick jacks as an extra precautionary safety measure. Something I’ll probably do as well.
Don't own a BM or have a garage but your videos are very good quality and informative which I like.
I appreciate the support!
What a great video. Excellent work.
Yeaaa buddy more space for extra activities 😂😂😂 never seen you so hype, as always great job you earned it
Looks who finally join the club..Congrats Chris..just finished watching your vlog…
Feels good to be a part of the club!
congrats man! I got mine over xmas too and the only hiccup was the thread sealant it came with. Waited 24 hours and they still leaked so opted for the tape instead.
Amazing ❤ On my wish list hopefully I don't wait as long as you did 😅
😂😂bro so excited😂😂🔥 W review homie
Looks great
Thank you for the video
How about a link to the cover 👀🎯
In the description under garage stuff
I love the intro about the age.... LOL!!!
We was young not too long ago...about to start a new proj too, let me pull up
U been cookin too bro...well deserved
Thank you for this awesome video! I'm tackling the setup of my new set of 5000TLs this weekend and this'll be the video I watch while doing it. How long did it take you to do the setup, bleeding and whatnot (excepting the 24 hour curing time)?
Only about an hour and a half or so.
Oh nice @@Scoobyfreak86 thanks. It seemed like all the bleeding you had to do would've/could've taken quite a while.
Before i watch i gotta say "finally!!!" Haha after so many years lol jk but thats awesome you pick some up. Hope you enjoy rhem
Wouldn't it be better doing bleeding with JS in totally vertical position ? With bleeder on top ?
The bleeding process is verbatim per bendpacks instructions.
Nice Video. How does the QJ work with wear and tear on the race track floor? I have an SUV and was wondering if there was any damage to your floors? I was thinking about getting race track but was curious on the durability. Thanks in advance.
Flooring is made by Swisstrax. No issues at all or any damage
Great video! I have been considering the QuickJack for my F80 as well.. I'd love to see an update when you get the low profile blocks (I'm pretty low just like you).. Curious if you will need to still jack up the rear subframe with those blocks.. That would be great if you don't need to.. would really seal the deal for me.
The jacks slide under just barely with no blocks. But once I get the medium ones in there, it hits. I think the lower profile ones will be the ticket.
Any update on the lower profile blocks? I know you're busy with garage reno but thought you might have tried them already..
@itzjere I’ve been using the medium blocks and they work just fine.still plan on getting the low profile blocks, but haven’t gotten around to it yet.
Do you use jack stands under for added security and protection?
Yes or jacks just Incase
Just got mine
Enjoy! It’s a game changer.
This is just the video I've been waiting for. I've been eyeing these seriously for a bit. Would the TLX be good for an STi?
Yes. Go with the tlx for the STI. It has longer jacking points so the tlx is perfect for it.
Does the m3 require jack pads like the 3 series? If so im curious how you did this. Just place the jack pads on the blocks and gtg?
Excellent video waiting for my quickjack to be deliverd so i can fix my snapped axle on the 340 lol
Not needed, but you can use them. I just used he provided blocks and lined them up with the pads and had no issues.
@Scoobyfreak86 wow thanks for the reply. Good to know this, appreciated it. excited to see the rest of your content 🤝
Can those go on the ground outside as well
Yes as long as it’s a flat surface
Great job on this video! Is this the one you would get for the Subie as well? Been looking into getting these, so I can get away from the jacks and ramps.
Yes I would get the same for the STI. They have long jack points so the tl would be a bit short.
Where was this video two days ago! I just put together the hoses and stuff but didn't get around to setting up the pump, etc.
Haaa! Sorry, this one took quite some time to edit. Go over every step in detail so you can pick up at the compressor setup part!
@@Scoobyfreak86 All good. Your tip on the cap for the Schrader valve helped me for letting air out.
👍🏼Very good
I've been thinking about QJ I'M 73 with C3 C4 C7 CORVETTES will tha size work for me? 🙏🏾 nosale
I would contact QJ directly and see what size they think works best for your cars.
Did you consider scissor lifts? Im debating which to get. Floor looks awesome.
Too impractical for my garage. It would have been a more permanent setup where this is portable and can be moved out of the way when not needed. I’d you have the space for a scissor, I say go for it. Otherwise, the QJ is the best option for me.
@@Scoobyfreak86 I'm limited on height more then anything. I'm just scared of the qj just from the looks. Do you feel it has any side to side movements? I'm afraid it might move slide to one side and tip over. I need to pull my transmission a few time for test fitting and afraid of of it tipping over.
I like that I can move qj out the way and the scissor lift has a big bar in the middle right where the transmission would be.
@jvh22a it’s extremely sturdy. I have no concern of it moving or sliding. Not anymore dangerous than putting a car on jack stands. QJ has a connection bar that you can purchase separately as well if you are concerned.
Quick question, I have the same floors in my garage. Can I use a car jack on them, to lift my ST? Will it Crack? TIA
I actually discussed this in the video.
@@Scoobyfreak86 ah perfect, watching it rn.
So you can disconnect the quick release fixtures while cars in the air too? And you don’t need to re-bleed them ? You should ask quick jacks if they can give you a discount code for us 😂😂😂
Yes, you can disconnect the lines and it stays where you locked it out. The hydraulic fluid stays in the lines due to the quick connects.
Is this the 110v or 220v option?
110
@@Scoobyfreak86 if you had the choice, would you have done the 220v or what’s your opinion on the difference?
@CalvinHaggertyIV unless you have a 220 already wired up, I don’t find the need for the weekend warrior like myself.
@@Scoobyfreak86 also a weekend warrior. Appreciate the insight!
Hey MrScooby I'm 17 with only 30USD in my savings, please me your car😢
