    Thank you for a great review. I've considered getting something like this for a while now. Maybe it's time!

      Honestly it so worth it, worked under the car all day today and never felt so safe. And its reduced at Costco at the moment so money to be saved

    bought a set from Costco about 6 months back - wish I had got a set years ago - they cut out a whole lot of messing around with trolley jack and stands and the height is good. Also went with the 5000 for flexibility. Halfords do a great little lead acid portable jump pack for about £50 that is great as a dedicated DC power source to save having to connect up to the car for power.

    I have wanted a pair of these for a couple of years. I have been in touch with the company to inquire if & when a 240V pump would be available in the UK. They said that they were waiting for type approval and then it would be available. If it is not available by early next year i,m going to look at a Strongman or twinbusch lift. Such a shame as these would have been very useful.Great video and thanks for posting.

    Great review, one question, is the handle connected to earth, meaning with the neg jump lead on its possible to short circuit the battery?

    Hi
    Thanks for the excellent video on the quickjacks I’ve been looking at these for a while now. How are you finding them after having them for a while now? Also I’m struggling to find a quickjack uk site to get them from. I’ve tried the link in the description but it doesn’t appear to work?
    Regards
    Mark.

      Hi Thanks for your reply 👍 great to hear you’re still enjoying them. I got mine delivered yesterday and got them sent up for the first try, they’ll make life so much easier, especially making our TH-cam videos with easier camera access.
      Cheers again

    Quickjack is good. I would need 7000-version for heavier cars. Hard to get in Europe. I use 9 Ah jump starter for lifting, it’s compact! Short videos in my channel…

    Hi, I just got my quick jack 5000.
    There was no spare wheels in my pack, is this normal now ?
    I know the kit used to contain 2 spares and they are listed on the box.
    Your video prompted me into the purchase tbh so good job Tweedbean.

      @@simongreen525 didn't get any in mine either - purchased 2 weeks ago from Costco. i've got some small (40mm) swivel castor wheels and mounted them to the frame to help slide it around - probably 1.25" ones would best better size though - works well and helps to move the frames around and prevents scratching them too :)

    Do you think it has enough clearance to drop engine+transmission from a standard rwd saloon car with a v6 engine?
    Thanks

    • @tweedbean
      @tweedbean  หลายเดือนก่อน

      If you mean does it raise it the height of an engine, I doubt it, but might be worth checking online

    I’m a mobile alloy wheel repairer for car dealerships.im considering these as I do about 4 sets a day.are they really that heavy.

    • @tweedbean

      Getting in and out of a van without a ramp would be challenging as they are pretty heavy

    I do like these lifts but..the problem is the price. For that money you can buy a full sized 2 post ramp which is 10 times better. Good review tho Tb

    • @manunava1776
      @manunava1776 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      2 post ramps are nice, but not everyone has the proper thickness and/or psi rated concrete flooring for the posts to be properly & safely secured to.

    • @tweedbean
      @tweedbean  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Agree but not everyone has the space or concrete to fit them

    Not worth it for the height. Had pretty much the same height using jackstands on my mini

    • @tweedbean

      It’s less about height for me and more about safety/ease of use.

  • @petrovkristian1047

    No thanks would rather buy a 2 post lift much cheaper , safer , quicker to get a car on. Too much hassle with these lining them up checking there in the jacking points constantly and just not high enough and STILL means you have to lay on your back so defeats the object just buy 4 trolley jacks much cheaper.

    • @tweedbean
      @tweedbean  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks, it certainly has its audience. In the UK most people don’t have decent sized garages/drive way space for a 2 post lift otherwise I agree that would be an better option. having seen cars fall off axle stands this is certainly safer than that. And unless you have 3 other people, raising 4 trolley jacks at the same time, they can just roll away doesn’t sound safe. it’s the safety aspect over height for me plus with a creeper you can lie comfortable underneath 👍🏼

    • @petrovkristian1047
      @petrovkristian1047 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@tweedbean I agree with you on that about using trolley jacks and axle stands. That is a danger on its own for anyone using that style still this day to fix cars. But I would argue that I have a 2 post lift in my own garage in my garden with a 40x40 workshop anyone can do it it’s just about money to build something like that but I’m in the Uk myself and have 2 post lift with no issue and I have quickjacks which I’m wanting to give away as to be honest my car lift will always be used more then the quickjacks.
