    What do you guys think of the new Indian Chief redesign? Let me know in the comments!

    Indian is just the best brand now. They are doing everything right. The syle and feel of their bikes made me trade my 2022 Goldwing in for the 2023 Cheiftain Darkhorse.
    No buyers remorse at all, I am just happy to be in the brand and on board of the best bikes I've ever ridden.

    I am waiting on a persuit, but the chief was a close second. If I didn't have passengers often I probably would have gone for a chief. The test ride I got to do last summer was awesome

      Got a pursuit video coming soon! It's an amazing bike. I'm in the same situation, chief is great but I take a passenger on the back quite a bit. Touring bike is kinda necessary.

    Great content! I am so glad Indian is getting the R&D backing that Polaris provides and I have fallen head over heel with my -19 Chieftain DH. So hyped for the future of Indian🤘

    Such an awesome bike. When I bought my 4th bike this past November, it was a tossup between the Chief and a Harley Softail Standard. I ended up going with the Softail for a couple reasons: #1 I found one used at a dealer with only 1200 miles on it, and it already had the exact pipes I like, ape hangers, a tune and forward controls, for a lot less money than a brand new Standard.
    And #2 while I am a die-hard Polaris fan thru and thru, I've owned all their stuff from snowmobiles and quads to side by sides, I know it's probably wise to never buy a 1st production hear vehicle.
    So, I ended up getting the Softail. But I guarantee.... when I sell this bike, I am 100% getting the Chief.

      It's an awesome bike! Can't wait to have you join the Indian tribe brother! Enjoy the new softail though - I've tried that bike and it is very nice as well.

      Similar situation when I bought my HD ultra limited. It was very easy to find a used low mileage Harley with lots of extras for a decent price. Indian used bikes were just not available in a way that matched due to the company being so new. I love what Indian is doing. I also, love my hd.

    Someone that is 6'4.. is this comfortable ride? Maybe with some adjustments? Ape handlebars and longer pedals? Would greatly appreciate any feedback because I'm hoping to get the new chief 2024.. thank you!

    I just test rode the Chief Bobber but their demo was setup differently with a group ride and there was literally no meeting or rules beforehand. I mostly solo ride so have very little experience riding in groups but I felt like that I was riding with a bunch mostly made up with noobs. I was keeping up pace with the pack but had other riders pass me on two of the rides, after the 3rd demo I asked one of the Road Captains about it who basically dodged that question. I know the one time another rider was on my right directly behind me, he was pretty much breathing down my neck so I just let him pass me. I don't really know when it's safe to pass on that side but whatever. I think since we were all riding about the same speed they wanted to goose it up to the next person in the pack. I went with a friend who has a lot more experience riding in groups and said that it didn't seem right to him either. I basically got a leftover bike that was unclaimed so it was not my first pick, I did not like the forward controls at all and seemed a bit too far for my reach but the Chief has mid controls which is perfect for me.

    When I go to a review of a test drive, I want to hear about suspension. We can all make up our minds on wheels and fenders. I would that they made the fenders longer so they did their job against the water, and then the customer could bob them if he wanted to. How is fuel mileage? How's the clutch and brake lever pull? Does it brake well?

    Going to test drive a Chief Bobber this Friday 9/16 so still not sure. Riding my Softail Slim now and loyal Harley rider for 30 years so on the fence but love the Indian styling for sure.

    • @MOTOBLADE
      @MOTOBLADE  ปีที่แล้ว

      I have always loved Indian motorcycles. The looks, the history. My chief looked very different from this new chief, more classic and I liked that. You can see my old chief videos on my channel for a comparison on the looks. I just wanted an Indian!

  • @barrybarnes96
    @barrybarnes96 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Silver jugs with black heads are not as nice as black jugs and polished heads. Wish Indian had made the Chief a monoshock soft tail. Those short deeply angled shocks don't look good/work well. They still haven't hidden the wire bundle at the goose neck part of the frame. I do like the goose neck look though.

    • @MOTOBLADE
      @MOTOBLADE  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I wish they would hide the wires up there somehow as well. Only thing I think that detracted from the bike for me as far as looks. Just did a bunch of internal wiring on my own bike to help clean up the look. Lot of work, but it could be done if they wanted to.

  • @eddieskeddie8429
    @eddieskeddie8429 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    That is a nice bike, but let's be honest... that is a Scout now. Those of us who have Chiefs know the difference.
    Unless I pay extra for parts I should have got with a purchase, I wont be able to carry any of my stuff and be pain free after a long haul.
    At least I can play with all the touch screen stuff while I'm driving a motorcycle in traffic though lol.

  • @DarkHorseParatrooper
    @DarkHorseParatrooper 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    So here's why you think it's a different style. Because it's a new model that was never out... the old chief classic and chief darkhorse are completely unrelated to the new 22 chief. The 22 Chief is a brand new bike, they basically killed the last variant and are only making it by name. Confusing, I know.

    That thing is hideous. What happened to the beautiful red and chrome Chief Polaris built in 2014?

    • @MOTOBLADE
      @MOTOBLADE  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I had a 2015 Chief Dark Horse, same design with the original looking fender and leather bags. It's a totally different bike now. But they've still preserved that classic look somewhat in their Indian Springfield lineup.

    • @georgeperkins4171

    • @georgeperkins4171
      @georgeperkins4171 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      What I didn't like is the model with the huge fenders and brown seat. Chieftain? Big chief? Their names are getting as confusing as hds. I always wished they'd come out with big motors on a stripped down chassis, and now they do. But I can't afford it now. Ill be content with my t100,ts185, and gs1100.

    • @geraldscott4302
      @geraldscott4302 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@georgeperkins4171 I absolutely loved the original Polaris Chief Vintage, in red and chrome, with the windshield but no fairing, and brown seat and leather saddlebags. It was a very good copy of the REAL late 1940s Chief. There is no way I would EVER consider buying a matte black bike.
