I think it's all about head design and exhaust manifolds as far as sound..def has that trumpet sound synonymous with their VQs.

They made them in 2006-2010 also lol. Same body style as the M35 with the same motor as this one, but they changed the intake

Sounds good! A Vibrant resonator would take some of the rasp out and give it a more “throaty” tone. Great work though!

Not a 2005, they only sold that body style 2003-04, had a 4.5 VK45DE. Nissan wanted to have it compete with the BMW M series cars of that era.

Ironically I had a 2005 FX45 with the same engine as the M45. Never sounded this good!
Actually the 2005 4.5L was NOT this engine. They retired the VK45DE in 2005. Only the Q45 and M45 EVER had this engine. This one is 340HP yours was 315HP. :)🙂
actually you are wrong sir! It was in the FX until 2007 and the m45 until 2009/10 before the m56. the vk45de was offered in numerous vehicles with different quoted outputs. @@markdorland2870

He should've kept the duals and butterfly valve on in the back, cut the secondary cats. I have this in my Q45 and the shit sounds amazing for rn !! Just like this m45 but just a bit louder.
I have an 04. It is too quiet with the glass packs. I had them delete the butterfly baffle thing, and everything else except cats. Has two glass packs, as the shop ran true duals out to the left. I'm deleting the glass packs and getting 2-1/2" xpipe done, along with secondary cats.
I need to come down and have you guys do my exhaust. How long do you normally have a vehicle for?
Should have done true duals even if they were side by side and both went out the left side.
Thats how mine is. Just needs an xpipe done and the glass packs deleted.
Potential sleeper with 340HP, yeah you wouldn't expect that thing having close to 350HP.

@@TayVqI agree. There fast but they not that fast. My Q50 3.7 is faster with less hp. The M is also heavy and the gearing is not set up for serious get up and go. It's still a luxury car. But it's power is decent

A damn shame these things are hard to find in Canada nowadays. I love the idea of a LHD Cedric/Gloria with a roaring V8, but the only common 2000s Infinitis seem to be G35/7s which are more on the tuner/boy racer side.
