- Psikyo (彩京 saikyō?) is a Japanese video game developer created in 1992 and formed by a team of people who originally worked at the Video System company, specifically on the Aero Fighters saga. Psikyo is known in the community of fans of the Shoot'em ups genre, for his game Strikers 1945 and its sequels, as well as for the Gunbird and Zero Gunner series. Although it also has some great gems that are not from the Shooting genre like Lode Runner or Gunbarich.
In this Compilation we will see the best ARCADE games of PSIKYO, all its successes, as well as quite unknown games that have been forgotten over time, which makes this video with a purpose of high educational value and preservation of the video game.

This company made some of my absolute favorite shmups. They are pretty brutal but damn do they look great and are fun.
I always wondered why the Strikers series was very similar to Aero Fighters until I found out that the lead developer from Aero Fighters had left the company to form PSIKYO.
No wonder why this channel became one of my favourites !!! Thanks so much for this great collection, I can find now great arcade games I've never played before ! :)

At the moment there aren't news for a western distribution, so I'm going to import them both.. even if they're targeted for the asian market there is still the english language on cart

What emulator are you running Zero Gunner on please? 10:26 Because in Mame it says it's not working 🤷♂️
You may also need some bios for it or some child roms of the game

I don't know why my comment got deleted. In summary it said that Zero Gunner doesn't work in MAME, you can use the emulator "Model 2 Emulator".

Creo recordar que también desarrollaron un juego para Playstation one llamado "Psyko force" juego de pelea poligonal con muy buenos graficos pero una con una jugabilidad mala.
Me sorprende que hayan conseguido la licencia de Capcom para utilizar a Cammy y Nash en Cannon Spike/Gun Spike.
Bueno ese juego lo desarrollaron Psikyo pero lo publicó Capcom

Hello! thanks for your videos; im looking for help about 3 games, im looking for their title since YEARS: the first one is the style of "1942" with nice colors and details but there was no technology, but i remember chinese buildings and temples and a lot of chinese dragons (years around 1987/89) - the second one was similar to rastan but in a big city and there was one guy fighting with a graffiti spray, he could move on 2 levels: the street and the sewers (both were visible) i had this game on my Commodore 128 (the year was around 1986/1988) - the third one was for atari i think and it was around 1985 with a small egiptian guy moving on different levels with lot of traps and elevators. I hope you can help me, thanks!

Why don't these guys release a physical copy of thier arcade games on multi format I know taito has done 1 and I think data east but I can't be sure but if they released them on ps4, switch, Xbox they'll sell

Canny shouldn't be in one of psikyo"s games. Plus the only games that company made that I love are Daraku Tenshi the Fallen Angels and Dragon Blaze.

Ese dragon blaze me recordó a un shooter vertical del 97 que también utilizabas personas en lugar de naves y si mantenías la palanca hacia abajo por 2 segundos cargaba su ataque especial cada personaje. Alguno sabe si es el mismo juego o cómo se llama el que menciono?

I do believe the Strikers games are their more well known series followed by Gunbird. Tengai may be third but only due to their main character, a very busty woman, and she's probably the only reason why people know of Tengai.

Una compañía que conocí hace poco, y me enganchó sobre todo con gunbird 2.
Tiene juegos de otros géneros, pero llamar joya a una versión del lode runner me parece exagerado.
Gunbarich me llamó la atención desde que lo vi, quiero hacerme un spinner con un ratón como base, lo malo es que no soy muy manitas, a ver qué sale.

Fun fact:
Some of the same team that made The Fallen Angels would go on to join SNK to make King of Fighters 99 and Garou Mark of the Wolves. Some of the characters from both games were inspired by the characters from The Fallen Angels
its basically just 3 games. a bunch of generic shmups, a couple street fighter clones, and some random shit nobody outside japan would consider fun.
