Hi Sizwe , Im a prosecutor and never really had a interest in politics or political affairs , however since I found your channel Ive been hooked and learning so much , so I just wanna thank you and please keep the content flowing.. Will you do a episode titled " who do I vote for" ... God Bless Dr S
Where did you pick up such nonsense!!🤣🤣🤣self interest is just self interest!!!,politics is the Art to serve the interests of the populous or the many!!
This is a small minority of Rich people that are worried about loosing their Assets whenever I see any podcasts with Mr Craig pushing this ludicrous and dangerous ideology I make very clear that he does not have 64 % of the backing of the people of the Western Cape he must learn the Demographics of the Cape Provence and get a lesson in the Politics and History also he's no idea
Ironically, one of those independence salesmen quote tweeting your video led me here and it was the best thing the fool has ever done. Excellent distillation of the issues with this pipe dream!
Thank you for your thoughts, Dr. Mpofu-Walsh. I absolutely loathe this idea. My concern is that laws change over time and with enough deep pockets this could potentially be a reality for future generations if this continues to find platforms to be heard and entertained.
The laugh is so infectious. The subject matters is so bizarre. The implications are threatening. The performance... Spectacular!! Great episode Sizwe. Subscribed!
@robsgonesailing i AM DEFINITELY VOTING RP. UNLESS YOU DON'T LIVE IN THE WC YOU WOULDN'T UNDERSTAND AND THEY DON'T SEEM TO UNDERSTAND IT'S NOT ABOUT COLOUR IT'S ABOUT OUR DAMS/SCHOOLS/ INFRASTRUCTURE CANNOT COPE FOR MILLIONS OF MIGRANTS FROM OTHER PROVINCES. WE ALREADY HAD DAY ZERO IN 2018 AND NOW AGAIN OUR DAMS ARE LOW.
@@veronicakarstel9126calling citizens moving within their country immigrants is the most ridiculous thing i’ve ever heard, your privilege is making you delusional, this nonsense will soon come to an end.
@@veronicakarstel9126Wow, what about the inflow of illegal immigrants into the Western Cape? You are only concerned about black South Africans because you cannot exploit them as cheap labor.
I wondered why the cape independence ideas keep mentioning some constitution under Belgian law. Is there such a thing as a constitution under written by the country of Belgium. Is there a constitution paper signed between President de klerk or any previous president and Belgium? I kerp trying to Google it but I see nothing about this constitution anywhere
They seem to have taken something out of context here perhaps. How would this work strategically and geo politically ? I can see thst the port of simonstown could be very strategically positioned in lieu of the issues of the red sea and the houthis. Actually any port on the west coast will do. South africa could really play an enormous part in future trade between countries The blending as you say it's because the Dutch inter married with the africans and therefore the colored race came about but our original forefathers according to the Bible we came from Noah's 3 sons sham, ham and japheth. Japheth was fair skinned, ham was a black guy where Ethiopia came along and all black people and shem was olive skinned where Indian and colored came from. We are all related guys by birth according to God
People are just afraid to be clear racist and they come with different wishful ideas. If its not self determination, Jan Van Riebek blend, it becomes localization, failure of ANC government or anything that will make this idea a reality.
why do you disagree with localisation? i don’t see why what happens in my hometown of lusikisiki should be determined by the colonial city of pretoria 1000km away? this is what is happening now, we get corrupt politicians who don’t care about the community
We can certainly have racist views and as far as I know, we have no "thought-police" to stop us. But lets not confuse ourselves : opposing the government on its failures is not being racist. Refusing to accept failure is not racist. Wanting a world-class society to live in, is not racist. So, I ask, why are we accepting second and third best, when we can be tops? Can the ANC turn us into a world-class society? I very much doubt it. Now, here is my challenge to all readers : I want your children to be highly educated, wealthy, well-travelled, cultured and knowledgeable. What do you want for your own children?
This is so hilarious😂 your opening remarks are so blunt. I am thinking about the episode where you hosted Dr Corne Moulder legitimise this thing realising this is what you thought in your mind as you were listening and nodding😭😭 respect for that composure.
When u know they r making idiots of themselves talking Apartheid, u just let them talk until they realise we know apartheid and we say NO 2 APARTHEID 😢
This apartheid foolishness makes me hate Nelson Mandela and his weak minded leadership rushing to proclaim forgiveness to unrepentant people. Look at how they're embarrassing his memory.
Get a load of this. One of these Cape Independence guys said after they emerge victorious from the "race war", they will build a wall around the Cape; protected by tanks & all sorts of heavy artillery & gizmos😂😂Cape independence is the refurbished AWB. Great one Sizwe. These informative shares go a very long way in educating SA at citizens. We appreciate it. We sure DO NOT want to experience the 🍉 situation brewing in SA.
Have you noticed the sudden claim that vantu people aren't native? The aim of that is to delegitimize the natives of South Africa so the Europeans can take a piece of this country. The audacity to tell people who have been here for thousands of years that they don't belong her life astounding.
Whom did the Bantu settlers originating from Cameroon, buy the land from? 'thousands of years ...' Can you substatiate that? What about millions of years ago ... when ALL humans on the planet developed in Africa and migrated to the rest of the world ... evolving eg. white skins as they moved through cold climates .... Do you know the science about human evolution? Just Google it?
That's because they aren't native. They came from further north and stole the land from the Khoisan. Ironically, the Boers gave been in at least the Cape for far longer than the Bantu, they came in 1652 and the Bantu only arrived during the Mfecane almost two centuries later
@@leaderofthebunch-deadbeat7716 You thought you had something there. Bantu people have been here for at least 3000 years. @@leaderofthebunch-deadbeat7716 The Khoisan and other similar people exist throughout Southern and Eastern Africa. In all of these countries, they are referred to as a tribe and are seen as black. In Kenya, there are Nilo-Saharan people who are also not bantu but are also treated like a tribe.

The Cape Independence Party was formed before the EFF and the DA. In 2024, they failed to get enough signatures to register to be on the ballot. MK was formed not so long ago, and they managed to get the needed signatures to be on the ballot. They even tried to recruit Gayton Mckhenzi in 2023. The only thing they have is a lot of money. We don't want to be fighting wars with the Western Backed Cape a few years from now, hence we don't vote for it and we even refused to give them our signatures.
ANY IDIOT LIKE ZUPTHA CAN GET SIGNATURES, IT MEANS NOTHING. THE DA WON'T ALLOW THE PEOPLE OF THE WC TO HAVE A REFERENDUM BECUSE THEY FEEL THREATHENED, SO I THINK ITS FAIR THAT THE WC PEOPLE CAN DECIDE, BLACK, WHITE AND COLOUR.
Western Cape Independence was possible when the coloured population was over 65% in the Western cape. Blacks and whites have flooded the province because it's the best place to Iive in SA. I really feel for the coloured population, Cape Independence would of been good for them as they would of been in control. However, now that the coloured population has collapsed to 41% due to the invasion of blacks and whites its not possible.
@@Truthseeker-iz3djcolored population is 53% but true the invasion of white's and black's has caused so many problems especially the eastern cape invasion.

They didn't just lose their land btw, they got all but wiped out. Most Coloureds (that they are using in their attempt to legitimize their movement) who are said to be the descendants of these people aren't actually even their direct descendants, genetic studies show they share genetic markers with the southern Khoi peoples meaning they have some Khoe ancestors (meaning women who were raped by Dutch settlers), but they are descended mostly from Whites, Bantus, and Malays, not just Khoekhoe, in fact, coloureds share just as much with khoi people as they do with bantu people. The only true Khoekhoe still in existence are here in Namibia. It is not just historical revisionism but legitimizing one of the most horrific periods in human history. Not only is what they say not true, it is horrendously offensive to any Khoekhoe.
Hi Muzi, agree separatism is dead in its crib. Not something I would entertain. However less centralization and more localization is needed in order to serve the communities we live in. Water, railways, roads, infrastructure etc.
As a Cape Coloured I don't agree with the idea of independence but hello we live in a democracy and people can propagate ideas that we don't agree with. That is democracy. If the majority of the people support the idea, why not?😮
Unitary state brother. Also, you have to know that they’ll say the new country must be based on “merit” which means white people will hire each other in anll the good jobs and leave you guys as second class citizens. Which masses will stand with you then? You’d all be on your own because you voted to leave the safety of SA.
Would you as a Cape Coloured be able to go to Phil Craig's country the UK and attempt the same without repercussions? But then I'm not surprised you'd gravitate towards the idea. white people play you like cheap violins over there

Of course...the Referendum Party is headed by a Brit! He's been here for 20 years and thinks that he can turn the Western Cape into.....what? Another British Colony? Just stupid.
The idea of Western Cape independence would be a mute point if the ANC ran the country well. Years if ANC mismanagement, corruption and the lack of ability to create jobs, improve roads, hospitals, supply basic needs like schooling and electricity has meant that some people want to take things into their own hands. There are many people in South Africa who have wanted to play an active role in the betterment of South Africa but have been hamstrung because of the colour of their skin. Instead of retreating into a corner or leaving the country, people are wanting to map their own future. Whether one agrees or not, it’s important to understand why people have come to such an idea…
Britain imposed the same "blend" when they kidnapped Australian aborigines women , raped them in order to bring the aboriginal race to extinction...Genetic colonization...
You do realise the whole point of a referendum is to understand the wishes of the entire electorate. If the majority do not want independence, then the vote will show that. Why does it have to be so difficult to allow people to vote on this proposal of independence.
This video gives me vibes of an unhinged attack to such movements which gain rightfully momentum, without actually arguing and talking about there intentions. If SA keeps the trajectory it is right now, sooner or later the Cape Independence will happen. Edit: Looked at the pooling and the absolute majority of the population of the Cape want the referendum. They see the writing on the wall and want to take the parachute before south africa crash by becoming the next Zimbabwe. 😎
I fully agree with your position on this issue. What really should have happened is that all white people who refuses to live in Africa, should have been offered the option to be repatriated to their countries of origin, even if this was 300 years ago. Those who opted to stay, would have had to make peace that they had to become "Africanized" and had to assimilate fully into Africa... That means "mixing" where they live, love, be entertained, shop and relax.... In my opinion, we can still do this. The EU need to take in people who has their origin in Europe and refuses to assimilate in Africa.
Hey man, great take on this crap. I'm from Cape Town and have spent time in most areas across the city and some major ones in the province. This Cape Independence is only designed for those who came here to blend. Not those who got thrown in the blender.
Evil with no soul. Western Cape is part of South Africa. When we fought for the evil oppressors during apartheid, we were fighting for the liberation of our country, South Africa, Western Cape included. We cannot make that mistake. let them dream since they're entitled to it. we spread da faya ayeye.
What about South Africans who have properties and businesses in WC and rest of SA, will they need passports to go to their home, will Xhosa people living in WC be removed and settled elsewhere, will flights to WC only come from other countries??? Total madness

3 conditions for a state. 1. Declare it. You need enough people to declare themselves within a territory. 2. Defend it: you must maintain your borders by force. get recognition in order to conduct foreign policy. In that order. None of those is remotely close
Most coloured people in Cape Town don't want to break away! Separitism is a minority white idea being peddled onto coloured people by triggering irrational emotions & fears. It's like wanting to cut a branch off a tree in order to save the branch???🤔 Im South African 1st, Cape Townian 2nd, and Coloured 3rd. I still have hope that our great grand childen will no longer be classified by any of these Apartheid racial terms, and we all are strictly South African🙏❤
As a coloured, when were you given traditional land under apartheid government? When were you favored under the ANC OR DA? As far back as your generations go here, you've been pillaged and brainwashed. Coloureds don't know their own kind were kings in their own lands, I'm industry and trade
I would like to know what culture I share with these people… My question is using their logic … if the khoisan where to call for a referendum for a khoisan independent state .. Will they support it…
If western cape wants to brake away from South Africa, for seperatisim within the confines of its borders, that means all mines, stores farming land and resources owned by these minority groups of privileged ,must be let go to the hands of South Aricans, and let them build their wealth from within the boarders of Western. Cape.
A thoroughly enjoyable and informative episode. Sizwe, I am indebted to you for filling the gaps I have in my history and understanding of social political events. Salute. Being something of a gentleman I see you refused to directly call out the DA romancing this issue as at the very least entertaining racist ideas.
Those with much to atone for continue to snub the hand of reconciliation that has been extended to them unmerited. What they fail to understand those with plenty, have much to lose when that hand is withdrawn.
In an August 2023 poll conducted by the CIAG, only 31% of Black respondents agreed that "I believe that South Africa belongs to everyone who lives here regardless of their race", compared with 80% of Coloureds and 88% of Whites.

Hey Sizwe, loved your analysis btw. But as a Namibian who's a Khoekhoe, I have to say that the "blend" and historical revisionism that these people engage in is particularly disturbing to me, I know you didn't call them this, but that in itself shows the very racist origins of this movement.
Its not at all invalid to seek independence against a regime with a different ideological viewpoint and economical situation. Slovenia did it for example
They have a kak idea that won't fly. And Cape coloured in their majority should stop being dizzy and think they are not black, essentially African. This Cape Independence is championed by such dizzy and horny mangoose who goes with wherever the wind blows 🚮
I am living in the Eastern Cape, I fail to understand the allegation of Independence being foolish and delusional. I quote; "Greytown - The Abantu Batho Congress, let by the mayor of the Umvoti local municipality, Philandi P G Mavundla, is advocating the establishment of a sovereign Zulu state in KZN and a self-governing Basotho state in the Free State. It says this vision will progressively extent to the creation of an autonomous Xhosa state in the Eastern Cape." Why not address this together with the RP? Maybe it is time to get away from cadres.
Sir, this call is not new. In the 90s we had to contend with the calls by Addriaan Vlok of "Die Volkstaat" and a call for a federal government by IFP of Mangosuthu Buthelezi. Do you know why they failed? Because the call from these two parties were both self-serving and totally distractive. If our freedom was based on the entire country, then what right do we have to start cutting it up. The only problem that needs to be faced by both the Independent Party and Abantu Batho Congress. It is that they have only two options. Either to figure out a way of making South Africa (as a whole) work for everyone, or to simply chose to go to the country of their choice that would pander to their whims. What they are asking for is not an option ...finish and klaar.
With respect Sizwe, I think you miss the point. Western Cape independence would never have raised its head if the Government over the past 30 years had stuck to the goals of the ANC of 1994. Only one thing has been delivered on in 30 years............. freedom (and that was delivered by the masses not the ANC Government!). But what is freedom if you don't have a job and are starving? The best way to make sure that Western Cape independence doesn't happen is for the Government to deliver what all South Africans need, and now!!!
The "blend" aspect of this topic feels like a desperate attempt by the Cape independence to try and consolidate the colored community. These words "in 1652 the Dutch and Khoi-San began to blend" a poor attempt to demonstrate a cultural overlap between these two races. By trying to basically say that coloured = indigenous, they are fishing for coloured people's votes/support, who make up a majority in the western Cape. If you ask actual khoi-San people across the Cape, across the country (Northern Cape especially) they don't see themselves as colored. And as a black South African man married to an Indian South African woman and rising a 'coloured' child I couldn't agree more, coloured doesn't equal to indigenous.
I was in their Discord server out of curiosity and it is extremely fringe. We debated the practicalities and my conclusion was that it's impossible to achieve because of the myriad of obstacles you laid out. The members were quite young and naive with pseudo-anarcho-capitalist convictions and conspiracy theorist tendencies. They'd call a social democracy communist. Definitely influenced by US Republican libertarianism.
I also looked into them, and the collective intelligence is limited, and politically very Trumpian. Why are they getting so much media exposure though? Craig is a snake oil salesman from the UK, and his young sidekicks have a rif-raf vibe to them.
The Startling Truth... *Catching Pigs* This is NOT a joke. Just something to think about. You will appreciate the final statement. There was a professor in a large college that had some exchange students in the class. One day while the class was in the lab, The professor noticed one young man who kept rubbing his back and stretching as if his back hurt. The professor asked the young man what was the matter. The student told him he had a bullet lodged in his back. He had been shot while fighting Communists in his native country who were trying to overthrow his country's government and install a new communist regime. In the midst of his story, he looked at the professor and asked a strange question. "Do you know how to catch wild pigs Professor?" The Professor thought it was a joke and asked for the punch line. The young man said that it was no joke. "You catch wild pigs by finding a suitable place in the woods and putting corn on the ground. The pigs find it and begin to come every day to eat the free food. When they are used to coming every day, you put a fence down one side of the place where they are used to coming. When they get used to the single fence, they begin to eat the corn again and you put up another side of the fence. They get used to that also and start to eat again. You continue until you have all four sides of the fence up with a gate in the last side. The pigs are now so used to the free corn, they find the gate, enter to get more free corn. You then slam the gate on them and catch the whole herd. Suddenly the wild pigs have lost their freedom. They run around and around inside the fence making a commotion realising they are trapped but its too late. They are caught. After a while they settle and eat the corn again and lose the ability and the need to to forage in the woods for themselves. So they accept their captivity and when their offspring are born in captivity they know no better, are raised in captivity and survive off the free corn" The young man then told the professor that is exactly what he sees happening in South Africa and other places in the world. Governments keep pushing us toward Communism/ Socialism and keeps spreading the free corn out in the form of programs such as supplemental income, tax credit for unearned income, tax exemptions, tobacco subsidies, dairy subsidies, payments not to plant crops (CRP), welfare entitlements, medicine, drugs, etc., While we continually lose our freedoms, Just a little at a time. One should always remember two truths: There is no such thing as a free lunch AND and you can never hire someone to provide a service for you cheaper than you can do it yourself. If you understand the students story, you should definitely recognise that all of this wonderful government "help" is simply a ploy to crush global democracy and the human right to freedom. It is NOT governments trying to assist and uplift its citizens. If you think the free ride is essential to your way of life, then you will probably not share this and continue to live in a beholden, dependent and trapped life. BUT, God help us all when the gate slams shut! Quote for today: "The problems we face today are there because the people who work for a living are now outnumbered by those who vote for a living." A thought to remember, Marx said, "Remove one freedom per generation and soon you will have no freedom and no one would have noticed." In the USA, South Africa, Australia and NZ the fences are in place and the solitary gate has already been installed waiting to be shut. It's Time to Wake Up or pretend its not happening.....
Meanwhile South Africa supports independence for Western Sahara while antagonizing Morocco for decades. If South Africa truly cares about self-determination referendum in Western Sahara then it should stop it's hypocrisy and start by organizing one within it's own borders for the independence of Western Cape.
According to Dr Corne Mulder who was on you channel 2 weeks ago. 70% of the people in support of the Cape independence are DA voters. That is why the have "Cape Exit" in their campaign. their strategy is to get that vote. I agree the DA might loose Cape and Cape independence is an absurd concept.

I still remember when Helen Zille said in 2012/13 that people from the Eastern Cape must leave the Western Cape. She showed so much animosity towards people from the Eastern Cape coming to the Western Cape, you could have sworn they legit needed passports to cross the provincial border. I think this may have given birth to this ridiculous idea, or perhaps that's why the DA might seemingly be getting roped into this idea🤷
It's not a matter of animosity it's right intelligent thinking. The people left their homes in the Eastern Cape and when they arrive in Western Cape they immediately demand another house. They just squad on any open land where houses cannot be built without permission. That's called wetlands. The fact of the matter is why all those people ran from their province.
You're smoking strong stuff. They have the right to move anywhere in SA. They move to KZN and Gauteng in their 1000s and you don't see us telling them to move back home. During the Marikana debacle, most of those people on strike were Xhosa from the Eastern Cape. Helen Zille's parents were refugees from East Germany. With her skin tone, she has no right whatsoever to tell people that they are economic refugees. Fact remains, they are still citizens of that country, regardless of what province they are from. opposed to this silly movement. however, curious to hear your thoughts on more governmental power given to local & provincial governments? The history of centralisation of power in South Africa (to Pretoria) goes back to Jan Smuts who didn't trust local governments to manage themselves & this is a legacy that the ANC has perpetuated, which to me is very neo-colonial + elitest. Your sarcasm is not always well placed. South Africa is a Republic and yet the largest population group is heavily influenced by a Monarch to vote a certain way. If people in KZN want a Monarch, they should fund it themselves and not be subsidised by the rest of the 'Republic'. This huge voting block holds the rest of the country to ransom.

I'm not a South African but the idea of separation in terms of the Cape is perfectly fine. The country as a whole is badly run by the ANC and African nations have histories of breakway regions . The problem is that Cape Independence seems to be run or part and parcel of racist Europeans. If the Cape were separated and this region run by the Colored or mixed race, this would be ok but that isn't the case. It probably won't work out.
@@_SMWX read nicely Cape Independence is future tense not present. Get the basics understand grammar then politics. Big problem is South Africa people don't want the classroom they want to sit in the boardroom. Cape Independence equals mass migration and depopulation of SA.
Section 235 of the constitution provided that the right of the South African people as a whole to self-determination does not preclude the self-determination of any cultural group within the territory of South Africa, as determined by national legislation. What this means is that the South African nation may not prevent any other nation within it's territory to exercise their right to self-determination. This ought to allow a nation sharing a common linguistic history, such as, say, the Gorinhaicona of the Cape, to secede and form their own state on South African territory. Section 235 does not preclude this right, nor does intenational law preclude this right - it is inherent to human beings. Whereas national legislation does not yet exist to regulate this right, that simply means that this right to self-determination must be interpreted in terms of the constitution, and the constitution does not "preclude" (i.e. 'prevent') secession of this kind. However, is the Western Cape secession movement a legitimate expression of self-determination? No - their scheme of secession is not popularly supported within the whole Western Cape because most people justifiably recognize this secessionist movement as a ploy of White supremacy capitalism in order to preserve White privilege to the detriment of everybody else; hence why the movement is not a justifiable expression of the self-determination of the people living within the territory of the Western Cape. The movement could maybe buy up a piece of land and secede that piece of land, like in Orania, and that would be legal; although, should they then institute unfairly discriminatory rules/laws within that territory (e.g. "this land is for White Afrikaners only and not for non-White non-Afrikaans people") then this would be an unfair violation of the right to self-determination of other people within the territory of South Africa. Such an exclusionary state would be an apartheid state, which is a crime against humanity. Another thing to consider is the material consequences to such a secessionist nation - they will be economically severed off from the rest of South Africa because there is nothing compelling South Africa to continue providing public services to a nation / territory that it no longer part of South Africa and which South Africa no longer occuppies. Though I disagree with your interpretation of the law - nevertheless: I agree with your denouncement of this CapeXit movement. It is a foolhardy, divisive, and dangerous movement. It exists to pressure concessions towards further preserving White privilege, and that is wrong.
Its okay for those who wanna practice that, but with that they should forfeit all the land and wealth(businesses) should be surrendered to the state. They must go and start fresh and build their own country(state).
"....as determined by *national* legislation." i.e. SA national decides what that is. e.g formation of a localised authority. Obviously. It is an integral, sovereign state. Random people don't just get to make that decision willy nilly.
What will your standpoint be when Orania expands to the extent that it consists of say 20 000+ people and demands to be recognized as an independent state? If you keep in mind the current government doesn't supply any services to the town. Nevertheless, some people are in for a big surprise in the coming years after what is happening at this moment in South Africa and Europe. The fight for freedom in SA did not end in 1994 it is a never-ending process.
Cape independence is not delusional or impossible, you have to remember weapons are still legally legal so supporters of Cape independence have at least 1 coin. Keep in mind, the so-called Republic of South Africa is also the creation of white people who you may secretly hate. If the economic and security situation worsens, it is not impossible for people to demand Cape independence

South africa could really play an enormous part in future trade between countries

Very soon the Chinese, Nigerians and so on will be requesting a referendum. It's a wet dream Sir, and it will remain just that.
Hey Sizwe
Great video, as always.
Just wanted to know if you could add the excerpts you read-out visually.
IT WILL NEVER HAPPEN

The Startling Truth...
*Catching Pigs*
This is NOT a joke.
Just something to think about.
You will appreciate the final statement.
There was a professor in a large college that had some exchange students in the class.
One day while the class was in the lab,
The professor noticed one young man who kept rubbing his back and stretching as if his back hurt.
The professor asked the young man what was the matter.
The student told him he had a bullet lodged in his back.
He had been shot while fighting Communists in his native country who were trying to overthrow his country's government and install a new communist regime.
In the midst of his story, he looked at the professor and asked a strange question.
"Do you know how to catch wild pigs Professor?"
The Professor thought it was a joke
and asked for the punch line.
The young man said that it was no joke.
"You catch wild pigs by finding a suitable place in the woods and putting corn on the ground. The pigs find it and begin to come every day to eat the free food. When they are used to coming every day,
you put a fence down one side of the place where they are used to coming.
So they accept their captivity and when their offspring are born in captivity they know no better, are raised in captivity and survive off the free corn"
The young man then told the professor that is exactly what he sees happening in South Africa and other places in the world.
Governments keep pushing us toward Communism/ Socialism and keeps spreading the free corn out in the form of programs such as supplemental income, tax credit for unearned income, tax exemptions, tobacco subsidies, dairy subsidies, payments not to plant crops (CRP), welfare entitlements, medicine, drugs, etc.,
While we continually lose our freedoms,
Just a little at a time.
One should always remember two truths:
There is no such thing as a free lunch AND
and you can never hire someone to provide a service for you cheaper than you can do it yourself.
Quote for today: "The problems we face today are there because the people who work for a living are now outnumbered by those who vote for a living."
A thought to remember, Marx said,
"Remove one freedom per generation and soon you will have no freedom and no one would have noticed."
In the USA, South Africa, Australia and NZ the fences are in place and the solitary gate has already been installed waiting to be shut.
It's Time to Wake Up or pretend its not happening.....
The blend joke is this cape Independence brought by foreigners
My future president I really hope I will see the day you become the president of this country. You are incredible and so wonderful to have been witness to your journey.
most foolish idea ever
There are 2 independent bantu stands states within SA borders, Swaziland and Lesotho which no one has a problem with, what is so different with Cape independence, why does everyone seems to have issue with it. Independence is written within our SA constitution, where does all this hate of Cape independence surface. Is it only okay for blacks to claim self determination
You mean countries.
Those were British protectorates they were never part of the Union of South Africa when it it was formed in 1910
They don't like sharing the roads with minibus taxis too...
Of cause, it's oppressive sitting at the beach next to someone eating Gatsby and Fanta with no knife and fork😅😅😅
@karthi7016 we don't like sharing the road with anyone, not just taxis.
We dont like sharing our roads with criminals. If your Taxi is legal no one will touch you. I get the rest of the country is not used to police doing their jobs. Here in cape town we work.
Haai Sizwe 😂🤣😂 "the blend". I love the way you say "blend". I'm crying 🤣😂🤣😂. I enjoy the podcast and really enjoy the humour you put into your episodes from time to time 😂🤣😂🤣
I still remember when Helen Zille said in 2012/13 that people from the Eastern Cape must leave the Western Cape.
So-called Coloureds need to wake up failing which l foresee huge problems that will be to their detriment.
I am mixed race but have never and will never consider myself Coloured.
I'm Black.

@@rekkabcleaningandlaundroma3580you are pushing a DOM-PASSPORTnarrative . And you cannot prevent south Africans from moving between provinces...and when they demand houses, they demanding from their government...not you...Get over yourself...
@@rekkabcleaningandlaundroma3580 I have no idea what you are referring to, but this is what I'm talking about th-cam.com/video/PPzrd5IjfOE/w-d-xo.htmlfeature=shared
What's wrong with people leaving one province for another in order to better their lives? Fact remains, they are still citizens of that country, regardless of what province they are from. The second we start seeing certain provinces as being so superior that they need to be their own country, that's where we would be failing as a country.
Well basically if people in the Eastern Cape vote for the DA, the DA will.make the Eastern Cape great, and therefore there will be no need for migration in to the land of the Khoi San and Coloureds.
Is Oranja within this right? Is that an example?
Go to school

I'm not from the Cape. But I'm sure that Ad Hominem is not a good argument against Democracy and applies irrespective of geography and/or our presuppositions.
It's a grand strategy as designed by Henrique Voervold. They have always wanted to create bantustans. That is why some of us get worried when we hear DA talk about federalism. It's not a policy born out of sincerity.
opposed to this silly movement. however, curious to hear your thoughts on more governmental power given to local & provincial governments? The history of centralisation of power in South Africa (to Pretoria) goes back to Jan Smuts who didn't trust local governments to manage themselves & this is a legacy that the ANC has perpetuated, which to me is very neo-colonial + elitest. Shouldn't grass roots communities - through direct democracy - have a bigger say over their own safety, education, healthcare, housing etc. ?
The question of provincial powers-or even the existence of provinces-is a fair debate but WC Independence is just silly.
@@_SMWXhow tf is the existence of provinces up for debate? 😂

We must secure the existence of our people and a future for Boer children. God Bless the true Dutch natives if the Cape. I pray that they gain their freedom
I ran into one of these independent people once, they came into my work place and started handing out fliers. When I saw what they said I just burst out laughing, it was so stupid.
They also laughed at Orania , these boers are really doing fantastic. Most people are jealous of them. They are independent and everyone works. They pay tax to the ANC government
Orania will implode eventually. Greed and self-interest, if not unnatural selection, will take it's toll. Isolation is sickness.
Constitutional Democracy that's what South Africa is and will remain. Zulsu do have a traditional leader in the King just as other tribes have their Kings, what is the issue here?
That statement just screams "echo chamber"

I'm not a South African but the idea of separation in terms of the Cape is perfectly fine. The country as a whole is badly run by the ANC and African nations have histories of breakway regions .
The problem is that Cape Independence seems to be run or part and parcel of racist Europeans.
If the Cape were separated and this region run by the Colored or mixed race, this would be ok but that isn't the case.
It probably won't work out.
Why do they have confederate flag??
They are evil extremists!! They want civil war....
Cape independence means 95 % of South Africa will try move there so yes its not feasible
95%? Why are they not moving there now? I guess it's for obvious reasons. Even people who were born there are running away.
There’s currently more migration to Gauteng than WC.
The world needs more secessions. Self governance is the goal.
The fight for freedom in SA did not end in 1994 it is a never-ending process.
as stupid as th idea is... if enough ppl believe & support this separatism...
it could happen!
