South africa could really play an enormous part in future trade between countries
      The blending as you say it's because the Dutch inter married with the africans and therefore the colored race came about but our original forefathers according to the Bible we came from Noah's 3 sons sham, ham and japheth. Japheth was fair skinned, ham was a black guy where Ethiopia came along and all black people and shem was olive skinned where Indian and colored came from. MK was formed not so long ago, and they managed to get the needed signatures to be on the ballot. They even tried to recruit Gayton Mckhenzi in 2023. The only thing they have is a lot of money.

      We can certainly have racist views and as far as I know, we have no "thought-police" to stop us. But lets not confuse ourselves : opposing the government on its failures is not being racist. Refusing to accept failure is not racist. Wanting a world-class society to live in, is not racist. So, I ask, why are we accepting second and third best, when we can be tops? Can the ANC turn us into a world-class society? I very much doubt it. Now, here is my challenge to all readers : I want your children to be highly educated, wealthy, well-travelled, cultured and knowledgeable. What do you want for your own children?

    With respect Sizwe, I think you miss the point. Western Cape independence would never have raised its head if the Government over the past 30 years had stuck to the goals of the ANC of 1994. Only one thing has been delivered on in 30 years............. freedom (and that was delivered by the masses not the ANC Government!). But what is freedom if you don't have a job and are starving? The best way to make sure that Western Cape independence doesn't happen is for the Government to deliver what all South Africans need, and now!!!

      The "blend" aspect of this topic feels like a desperate attempt by the Cape independence to try and consolidate the colored community. These words "in 1652 the Dutch and Khoi-San began to blend" a poor attempt to demonstrate a cultural overlap between these two races.
      By trying to basically say that coloured = indigenous, they are fishing for coloured people's votes/support, who make up a majority in the western Cape.
      If you ask actual khoi-San people across the Cape, across the country (Northern Cape especially) they don't see themselves as colored. And as a black South African man married to an Indian South African woman and rising a 'coloured' child I couldn't agree more, coloured doesn't equal to indigenous.

    I fully agree with your position on this issue. What really should have happened is that all white people who refuses to live in Africa, should have been offered the option to be repatriated to their countries of origin, even if this was 300 years ago. Those who opted to stay, would have had to make peace that they had to become "Africanized" and had to assimilate fully into Africa... That means "mixing" where they live, love, be entertained, shop and relax....
    In my opinion, we can still do this. The EU need to take in people who has their origin in Europe and refuses to assimilate in Africa.

    The idea of Western Cape independence would be a mute point if the ANC ran the country well. Years if ANC mismanagement, corruption and the lack of ability to create jobs, improve roads, hospitals, supply basic needs like schooling and electricity has meant that some people want to take things into their own hands. There are many people in South Africa who have wanted to play an active role in the betterment of South Africa but have been hamstrung because of the colour of their skin. Instead of retreating into a corner or leaving the country, people are wanting to map their own future. Whether one agrees or not, it’s important to understand why people have come to such an idea…

    I still remember when Helen Zille said in 2012/13 that people from the Eastern Cape must leave the Western Cape. She showed so much animosity towards people from the Eastern Cape coming to the Western Cape, you could have sworn they legit needed passports to cross the provincial border. I think this may have given birth to this ridiculous idea, or perhaps that's why the DA might seemingly be getting roped into this idea🤷

    • @rekkabcleaningandlaundroma3580
      @rekkabcleaningandlaundroma3580 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      It's not a matter of animosity it's right intelligent thinking. The people left their homes in the Eastern Cape and when they arrive in Western Cape they immediately demand another house. They just squad on any open land where houses cannot be built without permission. That's called wetlands. The fact of the matter is why all those people ran from their province.

      They move to KZN and Gauteng in their 1000s and you don't see us telling them to move back home.
      During the Marikana debacle, most of those people on strike were Xhosa from the Eastern Cape.
      Helen Zille's parents were refugees from East Germany.
      With her skin tone, she has no right whatsoever to tell people that they are economic refugees.
      So-called Coloureds need to wake up failing which l foresee huge problems that will be to their detriment.

      What's wrong with people leaving one province for another in order to better their lives? Fact remains, they are still citizens of that country, regardless of what province they are from. The second we start seeing certain provinces as being so superior that they need to be their own country, that's where we would be failing as a country.
