1. Eskom is being deliberately destroyed. 2. Who stands to benefit from the destruction of Eskom? These are the only things two things you should be concerned about
You also have to consider that fact that there are many people who assume they can identify competent and professional people, and when other people criticize said person for not being so, those who thought otherwise will ignorantly defend them rather than listen to reason or learn something. Like how your typical EFF supporter thinks Malema is the best thing ever but refuse to look at him objectively and also cant because its no secret to everyone else, EFF supporters are really really ignorant. Without knowledge you cant make logical, objective, or otherwise comparisons without a foundation, and so you are nothing more than sheep, being herded along. People lack being aware of their own limitations.
@@Sterben-iw3yx I’m not really sure how EFF and their supporters are relevant in this discussion. However, with regards to this issue the proof is simply in his record. He has not been convicted for any charges against him. He did reign when Eskom was doing well. Anything outside of this is propaganda and politics. Eskom documents are there for anyone to freely rebut what he is saying. The DA ran to courts to stop the nuclear deal the media ran with that story. Today all experts tell us that nuclear is the way to go. The minister of electricity has just announced this intention. Outsourcing your thinking is lazy. He is paying his masters for making him a billionaire , he has the full control of the state and media backing as such this will never be revealed by the mainstream media because they are behind him . This is sad 😢
This was a great interview! Thanks to Mr Koko for coming to share his side and his ingrained knowledge about Energy. He's indeed an expert! @SMWX I beg you to please bring Mr Brain Molefe! We want to hear his side too! The State, with its might and force, is currently on a mission to override and erase black professionals of integrity with overwhelming success.
This was fantastic interview Sizwe. I was captured by the way Mr Koko speaks. And for a change, it was nice to listen to someone who speaks clearly whether I believe that he not involved in state capture or not but I am impressed the way he addressed every point you have raised. Well done Sizwe. 👏

May God bless us with his knowledge and passion for seeing the improvement of Eskom. He gave us information and his experience to differentiate problems v/s how they solved it. Great man for Mzansi. Dr Sizwe is now firmly in with the big, big boys when he's able to conduct interviews with figures like Matshela Koko. I know he's been visited by former Pres. Zuma in the past. This, however, is massive. I've waited a long time to hear from an objective source what the stories are from the side of the fences of Koko and Molefe.

I hit the like button 5 seconds into the the video because I knew 💣 were about to be dropped by this unfairly sidelined brilliant engineer... Thanks Sizwe for hosting Mr Koko...
How on earth can Eskom lose such brilliant brains??? Somebody somewhere needs to swallow their pride and reinstate this man for the benefit of the entire nation!
He was standing in the way of corruption. That's why they got rid of him, now they are sabotaging Eskom and eating the fruits of that sabotage i.e. tenders, maintenance tenders, spares tenders etc. It's the same with other state owned entities.
He has glowing credentials. Chemical Engineering degree from UCT in 1996. He kept the lights on and this provided a predictable and stable economic environment. I think I speak for most South Africans when I say that the majority just want cheap and abundant energy. We have not had it in more than 10 years. This is a disaster for all the youth coming into adulthood - we have the highest unemployment and inequality in the whole world. When the country's engine room (Eskom) is dead, the ship (our economy) will simply not move. We have not been moving for over 10 years.
Wow it took me a while to watch as I was a bit sceptical, but I must say what an insightful conversation. Thank you SMWX for providing such unbiased coverage. Wish we had more content like this in the main stream media.
Dr we should be paying big money you for this type of knowledge shared here, I have listened to Mr Koko on all so called state capture enquiry and he put me on game back then already.
Mr Koko a Qualified Engineer who was fired by someone who doesn't understand the meaning of a gradient . Those in power have misused the same power we gave them against us...
Sizwe, thank you for giving this guy a platform… he sounds very knowledgeable! I really enjoyed the detail! I’m no engineer so it’s relatively easy to pull the wool over my eyes on this subject. What is indisputable though is that you allowed him to speak unimpeded!
You don't need to be an engineer to know that Koko stopped load shedding at eskom for atleast 2 solid years. That's why you can trust what he says to be true. Further to this, you also don't need to be an engineer to know that Koko won his case against eskom in the labour court after President Ramaphosa has decided that cabinet should fire him. You also don't need to be an engineer to know that his persecution is unconstitutional. It is equivalent to the corrupt use of state resources to persecute the only solution to our problem of loadshedding so that Ramaphosa can keep benefitting through companies in which he has shares in. If Koko is guilty of any wrong doing, it certainly won't be what he is accused of because he has already been vindicated of anywrong doing against eskom in the tender of his daughter. I know we find it difficult to believe others, but at least we should believe our courts. The other thing is the presumption of innocence enshrined in our constitution. Koko is to be presumed innocent until proven otherwise. Lastly, koko is no politician that he should seek to pool a wool over our eyes and he knows that there are many engineers who understands what he is saying and they will criticise ( correct) him if he is lying.
It is us who are the problem. We wake up in the morning to go and vote for this rubbish and then complain about corruption for the next 5 years. We deserve these crooks.
Dr Sizwe you are forcing us to think 🤔 deeply. I couldn't watch at 9:00 because we had loadshedding 9:00 to 11:00 , the irony 🙄 of it all. We need a thinking nation to digest such. ❤ keep up the good work 👏
Engineer my Engineer the passion and love you have for your profession is amazing we want you back.. Politicians must swallow their pride... The man is very good 👌🏾👌🏾👌🏾Black Excellence
They will just stop maintaining the power plants and run at full capacity like they did previously. Then run diesel peaking plants as baseload generation which is one of the reasons our electricity has become so expensive. And then there's the Zondo report which, I presume, you choose to ignore. Molefe broke down in tears when admitting corruption, as I recall
We were made fools by CR, Zondo and these WMC's. Mr Koko needs to be reappointed as CEO of Eskom, right now he's the only guy who can end this artificial loadshedding sponsored by WMC.
Koko was fired before Zondo commission started as usual people are just glorifying the corrupt, he may be the best engineer that we had but that doesn't remove his corrupt activities at Eskom
After the amount of damage done there is basically no money to fix the issue and even if they could find a way it would take years to fix the problem, it doesnt happen over night. And thats just Eskom, we arnt even talking about all other SOE's that are also fked and require billions to fix. The economy would need to recover before anything could really be done and to do that we need the ANC out.

I'm loving these interviews, we get to hear each person's side of the story. However, at some point things must converge to a degree where we can say what is closest to the truth. I think everyone can tell a good story and paint a nice picture, but who do we believe the most and what is the measure for that? Keep it coming, Sizwe.

Mr Mpofu.....I appreciate the fact that you ask a question and spend up to 7 minutes quiet.....givint the interviewee sufficient opportunity to
explain things......not this "we are running out of time" and interjections by seasoned journalists on mainstream media
they call people in for interviews....the next thing they tell them that they are running out of time..
Thank you for bringing this man to educate us about the ins and outs of Eskom problems or challenges
One other lesson: The importance of rising within the ranks of the company
Strongs to Mr Koko. U've showed integrity + has more to contribute.
This is the kind of content we need. Brilliant interview. I am happy Dr Sizwe offered Mr Koko an opportunity to speak his truth.
I finally saw Dr Sizwe at my graduation at Wits. Keep up the good work
Woooow what an interesting conversation and lecture.... Thank you Mr koko.... Part 2 needed
The man is coming back next year!!!
One of the best engineer's in the country that can help us eradicate loadshedding
Very articulate and technical, without being emotional
All the best of luck in your future endevours
I appreciate your story and hopping u will comeback and help SAs to come out of this dark situation.
One of the best engineers South Africa ever produced so wish he can come back to resurrect Eskom
This is the day that the lord has made and we shall rejoice in it. 🎉🎉😊The weekend was too long
Cyril Ramaphosa is one cruel guy, he's gotten away with so much it's sickening!
Re tlameha ho mo ahlolela lefu
He is a ruthless Mafia who will eliminate anything that stands on his way to destroy this country . He is paying his masters for making him a billionaire , he has the full control of the state and media backing as such this will never be revealed by the mainstream media because they are behind him . This is sad 😢
The way I hate that man yoh, he disgust me
I also share the same sentiment, when it comes to Ramaphosa.
Thanks
The level of confidence in him is superb, I think that what makes him the best Engineer. Great interview by the way.
Very painful to here what they did to your family Mr Koko. How much more for those who don't have resources to fight them 😢. Thanks again Sizwe for this platform
Ask that again cause some families don't even have the meanss to defend themselves like Mr Koko
Thx Mpofu junior for bringing our African excellence of our time 👌🏿.I salute Mr Koko for all his contribution in SOEs n stand up strong Crd Koko this will pass after EFF takes over government in 2024.
what a gem of a man and proffessional of the highest intellectual calibre
The content we deserve.... The way he explains it, if it was an interview he was getting this Job
Every time Koko takes a stand, he doesn't miss the opportunity to speak life to engineeering.
I think, his story is almost same as Nehemiah's, when he wanted to rebuild the wall. many people opposed him, it's always the case, when you improve people's lives there'd be attack. May God bless us with his knowledge and passion for seeing the improvement of Eskom. He gave us information and his experience to differentiate problems v/s how they solved it. Great man for Mzansi. May God make him an epitome of solution in Jesus name! May all his bank accounts be opened and live a normal life in Jesus name
True
Who is Nehemiah now?
Amen
Moses 😂😂 God never leaves Moses
Been following this man throught desk search. He is big time
The day people understand the ramaphosa-glencoe and big business relationship that's when they will see the real state capture
Hey mntasekhaya, I used to work for a company that was in the same building as Glencore...maaannnn!!!
Ramaphosa... at one pointed he was given an instruction by JZ to babysit the gas plantation and he never visited it even once. A pure sabotage to please and benefit some white-capitalist-males including himself...nxxx
Ngivumelana naye, isgebengu esikhulu uRamaphosa, kuyabonakala nje konamehlo.
The truth is coming out. Thank you SMWX. I’m shocked at what I’ve just heard
This gentleman and Brian molefe are the best 🤞
Yessesss What an interview. Sir sorry you have to go through this nonsense. May God bless you. Thanx Sizwe for bringing this gentleman. Salute 🙏🫡
I dont know how how many times Ive listened to this content. It's like music in my ears, just like listening to classical Yanni. Absolutely an epitome of seasoned choreograph. Thank you
I hit the like button 5 seconds into the the video because I knew 💣 were about to be dropped by this unfairly sidelined brilliant engineer... Thanks Sizwe for hosting Mr Koko...
Thanks for the chat Koko. Gives us loads of perspective on ANC mismanagement of Eskom.
Because the plan is to collapse & privatize all state entities in order to do that is to get rid of those who have a clue how to run this entities.
They can't rehire him you know why? Because ramaphalaphala is deliberately collapsing eskom

Evil person that fired black excellence nxi
He has glowing credentials. Chemical Engineering degree from UCT in 1996. He kept the lights on and this provided a predictable and stable economic environment. I think I speak for most South Africans when I say that the majority just want cheap and abundant energy. We have not had it in more than 10 years. This is a disaster for all the youth coming into adulthood - we have the highest unemployment and inequality in the whole world. When the country's engine room (Eskom) is dead, the ship (our economy) will simply not move. We have not been moving for over 10 years.
Power generation genius Koko very much knowledgeable man
Journalism at it best. This young man is competent and we need this professionalism to run our country. Not propaganda
Long awaited Mr Koko's side of the story , thank you Sizwe now we know why we having loadshedding and how we must vote next year.😮
The interview was powerful and so informative, thanx Mr. Koko and SMWX team
Thank you Sizwe for bringing the big man. I am also looking foward at listening to Dali when you do bring him
Coming soon. 😁
That is my fear for my own children, having to report to idiots who think they know better
That was refreshing and we definitely need part 2. Ayeye
Fascinating interview 👌🏿.
Dr Sizwe you are forcing us to think 🤔 deeply.
I couldn't watch at 9:00 because we had loadshedding 9:00 to 11:00 , the irony 🙄 of it all.
We need a thinking nation to digest such.
❤ keep up the good work 👏
Great interview Sizwe. This is very insightful from Mr Koko.
i always watch this show..thanks for bringing Mr Koko
Engineer my Engineer the passion and love you have for your profession is amazing we want you back.. Politicians must swallow their pride... The man is very good 👌🏾👌🏾👌🏾Black Excellence
I wish EFF to win elections and bring this man and Brian Molefe back to re-run Eskom and deal with load shedding.
Barak Yahuah indeed if that happens
Spot on
The majority South Africans still love their country and want it to work for all South Africans!
The most the Eff can get is 20%
Thank you for having Mr Koko
Mr. Koko knows what he’s talking about. Very educated engineer
@@eliudnkuna3930there is no proof of the allegations you leveling against him you are one of those who are falling for jamnundus narrative which is pro privatization.
@@eliudnkuna3930but nothing has been proven in the courts. It's all hearsay without evidential material.
Dr Mpofu you don't know how much this means to us please we need another hour with this man we have so many questions why wasn't Dr khoza spoken too where is Thulani Gcabashe where these black success stories chased away by the Anc because they are still alive but we don't hear anything from them thank you so much for this one ayeye
Sizwe , thank you once again for this interview....it left me emotionally paralyzed in a sense that what Mr Koko is saying, we shouldn't be having this loadshedding. we as people always claim that there are two sides of the story
..I still don't understand why this gentleman was removed from Eskom and what was this corruption saga if the NPA couldn't find prosecute him
Naturally one who's been dealt the numbers the man has by the many who have develops a subjective instinct on those who come after...but the man has not. He is objective in his view of the minister of gesi and remains open minded in his overall deduction. I applaud his professional passion and the selflessness with which he carries out his angles toward the phenomena. Also, a great host easily calms the nerves of the guests. Yours should be a warm home Sizwe.
This interview was as good as reading a Koko book, well done SMWX.
He really seems to know and understands engineering
Am proud of this african son
Great episode to keep me preoccupied during load shedding 😖😂
Thank You, I enjoyed this interview so much
Thank God I didn't watch this in the morning, it's definitely what I needed to get through loadshedding 😂
The man knows his work, I wish the new government can use his expertise, it's sad that the media killed his reputation
A very patriotic African child, who's demonstrated excellence in His craft and remains standing after all the blows suffered through the mainstream media, financial institutions and state organs. We appreciate you Sir and the utility is still in dier need of your skills, tried and tested leadership.
God be with you Sir,your intelligence is unmatched,
Thanks you Sizwe for giving voice to these guys. Do not know much about engineering but Mr Koko sounds like he knows what he is talking about. One way or the other inyaniso izovela yona and kuzonyiwa
Thank you Dr Mpofu for this educational content. As South Africans, we need to let bygones be byvones and bring back Mr Matshela Koko and Mr Brian Molefe to rescue us from this labirynth enigma of imminent apocalypse
Mr Koko will you come back to Eskom if the nation called?
Mr Koko, is there a substantive reason why we cant have more Koebergs in SA
Thank you Dr Mpofu Walsh for hinting on part 2. Maybe that will be the platform to ask Mr Koko if he would answer the call should the nation ask him to come back to Eskom
what a beautiful, informative interview. I was glued to y screen the whole time. Thank you
I take my Hat off 🙌🙌 this is pure excellence, its sad that we are led by such inferiority.
Wow. Eye opening interview! Please invite Judge President John Hlope.
Yes Yes and Yes indeed! There'll be more that's so crucial for us to know from that judge as well! Please
Thank you for telling your story sir. You are opning our eyes.
