Didn’t realize Feinstein was "unknown". He has been one of, if not my favorite photographers in my life. He was brilliant. I’m glad at you are getting the word out to a new generation.
@@HaroldFeinstein It's new to me but I am glad to know of him, I love the kind of work he produced. I am not a street photographer but I can appreciate his ability to see things that others don't.
Had not heard of Harold Feinstein. Blown away. You guys have great taste and the notion of combining the works of contemporary street photographers and lesser known masters is a space that needed filling. Best of everything with your future issues. Curious as to whether Sabine Weiss fits into the category of masters who need more attention. I'm pretty sure she's not that well known...I stumbled across her work and was stunned.
Thanks Denis! If I could pick a single other photographer it would absolutely be Sabine Weiss. I’m a huge fan of her work. So sad to hear she died last Christmas.
@@frame-lines I was also saddened, but she did live to an amazing 97 and it appeared (from what interviews I saw) that she was vital and present until the end. So glad to hear there are other fans!
Feinstein is absolutely in the top tier of great photographers. Every picture seems to tell a story. A brief glimpse into the lives of people we'll never know.
Wonderful video. The featured photographers are immensely talented and a true inspiration.Instinct and intuition( the result of correct observation) being able to foresee the next moment and capture that with the right composition and exposure is a rare gift.
Feedback.. excellent magazine that’s far greater than the price! Issue 3 is my favourite to date. Suggestion… have you thought about maybe a a ‘Patreon’ style subscription where you pay more but say get a small feature in the issues (like a pic with the name ) and early release etc. if many are interested it could go a long way to funding the mag and your efforts
Great Shane! I have seen work of Harold Feinstein, but never known he was the photographer and of his interesting life. Just ordered a copy of Framelines Magazine Issue 03! 👌👍🔝📸
Thank you for introducing Harold Feinstein to me 😊🙏 I would love to get the magazine in my hands. To bad im from germany and there is no shipping available 😭
Unfortunately as a result of Brexit, all orders we have previously shipped to Germany were returned. Until we have found a way to successfully ship to Germany we have had to remove this shipping option - please accept our apologies.

Great video! Is it true you don't ship to Germany anymore? Or is the Frameline magazine available in bookstores in Germany? And last question: where can I watch the film Last Stop Coney Island? Thanks 🙏🏻
Maybe feature more up and coming and even fairly new photographers as well as established ones. Let us see who's coming through and how they're developing.
I enjoyed the magazine, though I think it's a bit too light on the editorial side. Some lengthier, more in depth interviews or columns with thoughts around photography subjects would be nice. I however unfortunately probably will not be buying it again. It was simply too expensive with the import VAT and toll. That ended up being just as much as the magazine itself. Brexit sucks.
Harold Feinstein is not really unknown, forgotten or overlooked as a street photography, at least not to those who are interested in the history of street photography.
@@frame-lines He is frequently mentioned in street photography articles, and there is a great web page about his street photography. It is not difficult to find a book with his photography.

He had a documentary made about him? I watched it on a plane once.

So happy to see that you are keeping photography alive in print. Just signed up and ordered the issues, can’t wait for more!

Absolutely- and as a teacher too. It's very rare for a brilliant photographer to also have the gift of teaching and communication.

So impressed with the "Seeking shade" one that I audibly screamed "wow"
These are soooo beautiful. Ordered the magazine right now! So happy I've discovered you
Y'all know I love Harold's work!
So glad I found this channel today.
Great video. Thx for putting me onto Harold Feinstein.
Laughed my ass off at the Alec Soth outro 😂

Thanks for this! Cheers from Greece!
Very watchable!! Well done. Beautifully presented with an easy calm manner. New subscriber. Thank you. Steve
Just ordered this issue. Look forward to seeing it in hand!
Brilliance 😊 Can I suggest something? Maybe show the images for longer so we can get a better look?
That’s good feedback. We leave them up for 3 seconds - maybe we could adjust that somewhat :)
I just paused when I saw an image of interest.
@@frame-lines 3.3 seconds would,be much better
Love the channel and content. Do you ship your magazine to Canada?
Thank you ! We sure do !
I like the whole idea of a magazine and I think I haven’t bought it because well life happened but I think guys you should keep pushing well done .
Thanks for the latest issue. Just got mine in Brooklyn ❤
I know HF mostly for his amazing Jazz photos, but he was a major talent for sure.
I just signed up and ordered edition 3 - it looks awesome.
Thanks so much Dean !
Just found this. Nice intro to the channel. Definitely subscribed. 👌🏻
Shane Taylor could you do a video about your editing process? Thank you so much for working with mpb, it helped me a lot!
Thank you for the recommendations

Great and insightful video! Just wanted to order the issue but you're not shipping to Germany?
Very interesting. Great magazines.
Thanks for watching Marty !
Great video. Thanks
Glad you liked it!
He's great! Thanks!
Heard about him long ago. Mostly from The Art of Photography channel.
whould be so amazing to have access to the issue in Germany.. are there any chances of future issues being available for us here in Germany?
Nice to Gene Smith looking at his work.
when digital version?
I was just about to order the new issue. Unfortunately I can't find the selection Shipping to Germany

Hi nice work, thank you.
Great video. A popfilter and a high pass filter would be nice.
Do you deliver in PH?
Yep we ship internationally - with only 1 unfortunate exception- Germany
This is so great. You guys don't ship to Germany? :/

That's W Eugene Smith at 056.
thanks for sharing, anyone could get the film online or i think it's just DVD, i literally got no way of playing a DVD :S
I’m not sure if it’s available anywhere else but I can ask Andy
Just wanted to order all three printed issues, but sadly no shipping to Germany 😢

I also want to know this. I was just trying to order all the existing issues, but could not select Germany at the checkout :/
I enjoyed this video
how come nobody talks about him? or...am I drinking from the wrong sources? Lol thank you for this!

We have. Our magazine is a mix of established and contemporary photographers like Jeremy Paige for example.
