Given that the area is Restricted Class B Airspace, right next to the international airport, yes, it does require FAA approval. Not just for the pyrotechnics, but even to get one single inch off of the ground. The fact that there will be a major demolition, and thus restrictions on plane flights at that time, is what created the window for approval of the drone show. And no, I haven't seen a drone show in the Las Vegas area for a whopping 6 days now. Since the 300 drone show after the Triple A championship baseball game at Las Vegas Ballpark last Saturday.
Not much at all. For this prolly just Tropicana Blvd directly in front of it at the strip and the strip to that street AM/PM is on, for traffic. Stardust, Frontier and Riviera you could literally just stand on strip and watch. 200 hundred ft maybe for pedestrians. Dont believe the news when they say "no public viewing areas". There will be thousands of people up there. I'll probably be at Excalibur, /Luxor parking area right there on the strip by that AM/PM.
Stop spreading lies. Harmon isnt even anywhere near the Trop. Loool. Let me guess, they are bringing in the national guard too. 😂😂 The news fooled you bruh.

@@ChristopherHedum-js8egno really. There will be no public viewing areas.
@@ChristopherHedum-js8egyou need a view room or the Mandalay Bay Foundation Room to watch it in person.
@@KittyGirlTravelProductionsthere will be a bigger exclusion zone/closed area compared to past ones.
RiP TROPICANA
Good thing it will be a baseball stadium
Speaking of the airport, what are they going to do if the toxic cloud heads that way? They can't have jets pulling in the carcinogenic dust.
No more old 1950s hotel
It’s at 2:30 AM on a Wednesday… KLAS is dead at that time.
Why does everything have to be a "show"? Building implosion isnt going to destroy the air quality enough, now you wanna add fireworks pollution too? 🙄
The strip is dead and corporations have killed it…, you know there is corporate tax angle on this. Free parking for all with an NV driver’s license!
The Strip will be closed from Harmon Avenue to Sunset Road for safety reasons.
