Just a quick video showing a quicker simpler way with less problems.

I have not tested version 4.06 in flight .
if you run into problems just go back to version 1 then update to

I just found this video today, and it worked perfectly!!! SWEET! OMG I spent hours messing around trying to connect USB to my Naza M Lite with Windows 10 using older info/videos. It was a LOT of work just to get the serial port drivers installed with all the WIndows 10 driver signature workarounds! I finally got it working to where Nazam Lite Assistant 1.0 could connect to the Naza M Lite, but the older TH-cam videos from 2016-2018 will NOT work to update it to Naza M V2 firmware. With this video I was able to use the "Naza Lite 2 V2 New Package", and easily update my firmware to v4.02, or v4.06!! I have had this Naza M Lite controller sitting new in the box since at least 2015 and never got around to using it till now. Thanks so much!!!
I feel sorry for people still buying these on Amazon thinking it will be easy to use lol

@@ModItBetter Thanks for the simple instructions. I’ve got a similar situation. I’ve have a naza lite sitting around i totally forgot about from 2015. I can’t seem to find the the upgrade. the few links I’ve found all point to the same dead/gone page. Any idea if it’s still available? Thanks again.

I bought a cheap f550 with a naza v1
What keeps me wondering is this.
The v1 vs v2
Is it only the software making it a v2?
is the hardware the same?
Because i saw a vid and the v2 looks waaaaay more stabel.

yes 100 percent same hardware.. only diff is the software , the price tag and sticker...Bootloader is write protected this is why you can't upgrade to any v2 firmware only the ones listed .. But updating anything comes with risks of bricking ect.. so if your ok with what you have, keep it..
I got it flying today with my new remote.
V1 is realy sloppy.
Im going to lash V2 now and test it tomorrow.
I'll let you know the difference.
I read somewhere that the V2 comes with a better GPS.

Does it has any issues like flyaway or out of control and all bad stuff after or before upgrading whenever you fly plz response it's gona help me a lot
Hi you would have to do a google on the make and see how many hits you get on flyaway .. I have not been keeping up with the newest quadcopters. but when i was modding them they all fall victim to it.. However I did do a cx20 upgrade to dji .. and noted its the only quadcopter I would feel safe recording me and being able to turn around and have it in the same spot. The limited options dji gives its users is annoying but also handy as you can't screw anything up.
I believe what happens in a flyaway is the flight controller is stuck in a software loop from a glitch. Most micro controllers fall victim to glitching its how most are hacked as well. All I can tell you is the firmware upgrade does no more to cause a flyaway but in this hobby you have to anticipate a fly away sooner or later. My cx20 on my 3rd flight went straight up to the sky then shut off .

The barometer put in side of fc which is really expose to sunlight, thx to its white case too that make problem got worse,

@@j3fron u can also open up the case and put a small sponge over top of it....its how the apm v3.21 come.. over the barometer that is..
also i was talking about a software glitch.. usually it will change something in the code on the fly like a jump in code.. its why nothing responds to your transmitter.. Its basically doing a code loop, same with when it shot straight up, I could not control it. .. Also I was in manual mode so it would not shoot up to a location where it thought it should of been... But I'm sure its possible and adding what ever to your flight controller to stop anything bad is a good thing..

some accessories only work with v2 I believe.. maybe they fixed some bugs in the firmware as well.. ..Personally if your happy with yours and not getting any accessories ,just leave it be..as upgrading firmware can always be a gamble..
hello! with your video I solved a problem with my NAZA M lite. Motors didn't start. Solved after restore and upgrade again!

So can you use the GPS of the Naza M2 on this after the upgrade ? or the GPS of the Naza lite will be better like the M2 ?
yes you can use what ever gets attached to the m2 or use the lite gps either or..

Hi thanks for the kind words.. Keep in mind with the rule of thumb with firmware. If your happy with what you have and its not broken don't upgrade. This video here is pretty straight forward and even if the firmware gets corrupt the boot sector is locked and "should" protect you from a brick, so you just need to revert back to version 1 if anything goes wrong. @@ModItBetter this is the first one i built ..i'm just trying to get it to fly and return to land ..thats all ...waiting for another frsky 8 channel receiver ..i burnt it up trying to follow how to manually bind it with servo's as i couldn't calibrate the motors or arm...i went into naza assistant and it turns out that my throttle stick was backwards ..it will bind now with the turnigy receiver but i want to use a frsky djt module and telemetry receiver for return home to home ...thats a big response i hope i made some sense
@@spark23ca I would suggest getting your self a apm 2.6 which is a hardware downgrade(still does more then the dji) but a software upgrade instead of the dji.. or if you want to have basically the same hardware get a pixhawk .. Pixhawk is better then the apm 2.6 but equal to the dji for hardware but 1000's times better for software. with a 10 or so dollar telemetry module You will have fallow me mode , return to home ,auto missions .osd so if you get video transmitter you just need a video receiver and a display instead of a phone to have video feed and telemetry data on the display.
plus a app called droid planner for your phone ect ect.. Now sorta bias because all my videos are on the apm 2.6 and pixhawk .but every video basically apply to any home built quad as the cx20 is just 4 motors and a power board.
if your looking to continue modding I would suggest moving away from it. As pixhawk and the apm both use the same open source software and great Gui software called mission planner that puts dji gui to shame. Also the pixhawk and apm 2.6/2.8 come in all sorts of packages to mini -micro-full size pixracer. which again i cover in lots of video's.
with that said the dji was one of the best out of the box installs that was extremely stable . personally I only used mine for the 4 or so video's then it just collects dust. because the lack of options.
@@ModItBetter yes i think i would have been better off with that ...next time i'll do that ...i've wasted a pile of money and time learning this ..but everything is ordered ..i bought a lot of this stuff in like the turnigy 9x a few years ago ... but then lost interest ...i'm more interested in the pictures .. not going to do any fpv racing ...i've got tons of other stuff needs fixing ..log skidders and snowmobiles mini vans chainsaws and the house ..
@@spark23ca Well the dji flight controller is not bad anyways . in one of my videos i had said "its the only one i would truly trust turning around and doing work as it filmed and be comfortable knowing when i turned back it would be in the same spot. The positive about limited options is less for somebody like me to screw up ." So Don't get me wrong I was not trying to be one of those people saying to give up on your current problems and move to something else. I was more a suggestion if your going to continue in this hobby with modding and adding add-ons..to move away from it.
Question, will work for dji phantom 2 flight controller, will convert to a naza v2?
Hi the software supports both models.. However I don't own a phantom 2. So I can not confirm 100 percent it works..
Hi, I have a Naza-M and I need to change the ESCs, I read in DJI that they must be 400Hz. He was 20 A Afro but they died from the water.
HI .. I had no issues using my cx20 ecs's if you look on ebay for cheap esc's example "4 esc 4 motor" you will find lots of compatible .. I'm sure most of the yellow style esc's will be compatible for example.. I have NOT used these sellers just examples.. most 20a + esc are compatible from 30Hz-499Hz

@@leonardoon8614 as far as i know miisionplanner only supporsts open firmware... it should work fine with dji version of ground station.
Phantom 2 flightcontroller can be convert to Naza V2 is it possible dude?
Hi .. had to delete my other comments.. the new loader i show in this video shows the phantom 2 .. so I am pretty sure it will work..
what you can try to do is attach the cable like i show 3:30 and see if the phantom software asks you to revert back to stock version. .. Then at least you know you won't end up with a brick..

@@redimidodejesus1360 did you try 3:18 of this video you should be able to revert back to the original firmware .. unless some how your bootloader got wiped out or corrupted..
@@redimidodejesus1360 u can try to hard reset the flight controller to factory setting then update the fc again. don't forget to jumper the cable F1 & F2 and switch on.

Bought a new naza lite, everything looks good but can't calibrate it. Rotating drone 360° with its head down doesn't change color from solid green to blinking red. Please help
hi ..when your doing the calibration are you starting with a solid orange light?
also with the quad on the ground facing forward ..pick it straight up..and do the 360 turn holding it straight out (with your entire body). you might have to go around twice...
then point the nose down of the quad ..and do another 360 turn.(with your entire body)
You are not spinning the quad but holding the quad and spinning with your body while holding the quad in one static position
@@ModItBetter all tried, but now I have noticed that the naza lite assistant software shows ERROR in the z-axis of acceleration sensor.
Might be this is a manufacturing defect.
I have applied for a replacement of product, the seller if of the same country so could take 10 more days

@@ModItBetter The solution is quite simple. It took me a while but I found the solution. Enter NAZA-M V2 - Advanced - Voltage - Calibration - Change "First Level" - "No Load" 10,74.

not as far as I know unless you make a man in the middle for canbus.
And I have no idea if dji signature checks the chips on the gps. but I'm just assuming this as i've never tried this... however if our extremely creative ..you can cut and jump the tx and rx traces to the old gps chip to the new gps. ..Pretty sure that would work ..

Hi .. sorry I have no clue what your problem might be.. You might be better off finding a dji forum to ask your question. If this only happen after the update . You can simply revert back to the old firmware ,I show how to that at the end of the video. I only used my dji naza flight controller for about 1 hour since this video..

odd ..maybe you have to redo all the calibrations and if you had to reverse channel 2(E) before maybe it reverted back to default. if you still can't get it to arm maybe try to go back to the original firmware i show the steps for that at the end of the video 3:20

Hi so out of curiosity did you try version 4.06 and you could not arm? or was it 4.02 ? Also did you check to see if it was your channel 2 in the dji software that put channel 2 back to normal? Unless you change that on the transmitter.. Andddd when you reverted back to stock, all is well?
@@ModItBetter I tried both versions and the problem is lite flight controller does not allow the motor to run because it recognises the serial number. I read on some page. So I downgraded it to version 1 now it is working good

as far as i know it would be no because the firmware for the naza-h has not been ripped...And i don't know if the naza-h has the same hardware. i would assume it does.
if your forced to buy a new flight controller.. , Have you looked at pixhawk or apm 2.6.. they can do all vehicles and is open source. and come in mini versions for both of them..

keep in mind you can also use pix racer .. mini pix ,micro pic or just the regular pixhawk ..they are all the same.. .. The apm 2.6 / apm 2.8 actually does not seem to have much of a scene for H.. also for our apm 2.6/2.8 no more firmware is made for them it stops at 3.21 ..then the pixhawk can use the firmware 3.21 and to current..
, Maybe not as polished as I thought, I would do some google searches as if you have either the apm 2.8 or pixhawk /px4 and see if you can find enough info on it.

Your able to revert back to version 1? No idea why its crashing on you.. but its good you posted so others can be warned..
mine was not arming in first attempt. it was taking 10 to 15 attempts to arm so reverted it back to 1.0
It was my hardware problem .... I had bought a gnss module separately . And plugged into my Naza which it was not supporting in v1 when I upgraded it ... It worked but. While in flight. Ang One of the motors used to stop spinning ..... And crashes .....

I don't own a mac or ever have.. on windows I use vmware/ vmplayer I believe its out for mac as well .Maybe its called "VMware Fusion " I'm not sure if its free like vmplayer is.. You would then need to find a copy of windows .install it in the virtual machine then copy the files over once your done..
