I am very happy with these updates. But would it be possible to start populating the ocean more as well? Such as dolphins, whales and such...
Sea turtles and crabs would be nice
I've wanted more animals in the sea since launch!
Just imagine how awesome it would be to see a whale breaching next to your ship or seeing some dolphins jump around at sunset.
Or maybe just finding the odd sea-turtle swimming through the waves.

The servers can't handle it, even for the kraken they have to get rid of clouds so the server can handle it

The new boss fights look dope, though I'm honestly getting a little tired of skeletons. There has to be another enemy type you can model.

NPC pirates who have creepy flameheart stuff and fight you like a combo of player/Skelly might be interesting. Bonus points for some being partly skeletal, and having a warped kinda laugh
That's not the only problem honestly, these updates just add more ways to earn money but no new ways to spend it on

If evil merfolk get added, I have an idea for a new loot item: The Tsunami Skull.
It’s essentially just a sea-themed counterpart to the ashen winds skull, firing a high-pressure jet of water, dealing a bit of damage and insane knockback. Most importantly, it can be used to fill a ship with water, just as quickly as a chest of sorrow.
They can't add npcs that aren't skeletons cos wouldn't be kid friendly

Rare has done an amazing job at creating one of my favorite games of all time and still has tons of potential. But I have a little idea that I believe may improve the game. Money bags. Hear me out, money in sea of thieves does grant you the ability to purchase cosmetics, but more can be done for example, everyone has the ability to create a physical bag or (or empty chest) that can contain a limited amount of money or sand (to fool your enemies) that you can give to your crewmembers, but also, to other crews. Imagine the possibilities, you pay other crews to do something for you or vice versa. And exact revenge on rivals by hiring random crews to destroy them for you. Essentialy, you can become an assassin of sorts. You can bassically create a business. But you also have a chance to blackmail. This gives money a meaning and incentive to use. I hope that maybe this idea in some way inspires SOT devs to improve the game in many ways. Thanks

Without the ability to hop in specific servers, i don't think this would ever work. You would never find the same people once somebody server hop.

Ahh .... how much I love this game.... I believe I started playing it the perfect time , on January 2019 meaning that I had time to learn this so simple game and then for one and a half year now enjoy all the monthly updates and new content , this game has become something I never imagined and RARE has never disappointed me and many others , so one thing.... I love this game.
you came around the PERFECT time for this game, right when it was worth the price. Dont get me wrong i love sea of thieves and played WAY to much sea of theives in 2018 but it was just so empty looking back. now im burnt out, enjoy all this content for me lol

I just bought it and i honestly want to like it. But how do you like a game which only goal is to unlock cosmetics? No ships you can unlock, no new weapons, nothing, only cosmetics. Help me like this game.
@@crango3055 I wouldnt recommend you think like that , yes maybe all you can unlock is cosmetics but its the amount of things that you can do from the variety of different battle scenarios to the interesting on-going story(tall tales) , it's the joy you're going to get from all the events , all the different missions , it's not about what you'll unlock , it's about the fun you'll on the seas ... In this Sea of Thieves!!
Now I'm sorta bored of this game despite the regular content updates. If you don't have a friend to play with, the game gets incredible frustrating, you earn so much gold and end up spending it on crappy cosmetics which you yourself can't see on your character and lastly no option of choosing your local server(most of the time I get matched up with people who don't understand English and the you can't be a captain if your crew doesn't understand what you are saying).
Xbox app is pretty shitty compared to other online game platforms and buggy. I wish valve made this game rather than Xbox.
while i personally dont need them, i really appreciate the work that goes into accessibility settings.
it shows a level of respect for the player base that AAA gaming has been missing for a while.

The update looks amazing. One thing I've seen around that looks like a great idea is mixing this, the flameheart event, and a skull fort. Where we have to fight through an amount of galleons that are guarding a fort and then once on the island we have to fight some waves of ashen skeletons and a general or two and then for the final bosswave we fight flameheart himself!!! That would be such an epic insane adventure. I still love what we have now and thank you so much rare!!!

Loving this update so far. Survived a 3 or 4 ship battle for the new encounter in a solo sloop but a brigantine returned and sunk me in cold blood. After they completed the encounter, I slowly pulled my ship around the corner of the island and caught them by surprise, opening fire with an anchorball and then cannonballs, they tried to board and double-team me but I killed them in seconds, then the third guy raised the anchor on their ship but I took down their masts with two clean chainshots. Then I proceeded to board them and stop them all from repairing. Glad I could teach those pirates a lesson: They have to no place here in Sea of Friends!

Nat no snow. Imagine how cool it would be if when you died you’d go to the ferry of the damned (which is in the sea of the damned) and the sea of the damned was fully exploreable, yeah you could stay on the ferry and go back to the seas. Or you could jump ship and swim not to far to the sea of the damned outpost, and do voyages and encounters there too.

this is an awesome update, but what about things like scrubbing decks and death penalty? A good thing for death penalty is this:
1st sink: ship swaps close to death spot on an island, perfectly fine
2nd sink: ship spawn far away from death spot on an island and has less resources
3rd sink: ship spawn very far away on an island and is damaged and has less resources
4th sink: ship spawn very far away on an island and is very badly damaged with very little resources
5th sink: the crew spawn on an far away island with a new type of map showing which outpost their ship is on and which direction it is in and a rowboat that they must take to that outpost to find their badly damaged and has little resources
once the ship is reached, the process repeats
I think the death penalty would be better to not be a death penalty but more a ship penalty
But this is a bit harsh so it would be better if you only go down a level if your ship is sunk by a player
but if something like a Skelton or ghost ship sinks you: your ship spawn on whatever level your on
(If it reset every time you got sunk by ai, it could be abused)

If a ashen lord is using the devils roar attack, try finding a shelter on a island. For example, krakens fall has a short tunnel. So try using that tip

I had finished an ashen key quest that had taken a week of grinding to buy and was going to cash it in when I spotted another ship about to take on an ashen lord. I was flying an alliance flag and started to dance to let them know I was friendly. They fired a cannonball directly at me which struck me in the head. As I was dying, I saw them board my ship and take all my loot, including the key! I saw them sail away, eager to cash it in. As I respawned on another island, I knew I had to get back at least try to stop them from cashing it in. When I arrived at the island, I saw the very same ship with an ashen dragon figurehead. I went in a blind rage and blew their ship to hell with every bit of ammo on my ship. They did not fire back, so I knew that they were fighting the ashen lord. I fired myself onto the island and observed the fight from a distance. They had almost finished him. It was payback time! I took out my eye of reach and killed them both. Once they were dead, I quickly finished of the ashen lord. I took the skull and cashed it in. It payed me well, actually, enough to buy another ashen key quest. Revenge is sweet!

Thank you for always updating the game! Is there really going to be ice islands soon? Can't wait!!!!!!!!!!!!! Also a cool update would be that we can bury treasure!! Like if our ship sinks and all our loot is floating in the water, but then we can swim it to a near by island we can bury it all then respawn and sail back to the island to dig it up and cash it in! Last but not least is if we can set traps!! Like if we have to stash loot we can set protective traps. Sorry one more thing, if there is ice islands make it so we can make snowmen lol.

Dear Rare,
My dad has been interested in this game since he saw the trailer and has been wanting to play it but he keeps getting trashed by the online players that will hunt you down and spawn camp.
His request is to being out a gamemode of Sea of Thieves where it's a campaign mode with it's own stored progress so he doesn't keep getting killed while trying to do a Tall Tale. This gamemode could include side missions and main missions to complete aswell as the Tall Tales AKA the campaign. I hope this may be possible for you and I hope it wont be much trouble.
They added checkpoints to tall tales a couple patches back for this very reason.

Unfortunately it seems like you only want a single player mode. Well, think of the other players as extra obstacles in your voyage. Some of them might be good, some bad, some maybe even packing serious loot!

Something that I find helps with reducing server numbers, is setting up the game to be limited to players on certain platforms only. Just before you go into the session, open up the settings and pick how you want to limit your server, either via Xbox or PC players only. You'll be matched with people on the same devices, which reduces the numbers a bit - but still gives enough people still to warrant a bit of looting fun if you fancy! Happy sailing to your dad!

I just got done being in the ocean for 7 hours today, and watching this just made me so happy.
This looks cool but, I’m a returning player, when do we get new pirate legend content that’s actually meaningful? Or more animals like crabs and sea turtles, dolphins, whales, etc. and ship naming and interior decorating?
I would love this and I dont know why it isn't already in the game
More ship variant would be interesting too. Same class (2/3/4) but different configurations. Or even better, customisation like the number of cannons, the amount of "armor", the manoeuvrability etc etc.
I’d say this is more important than pirate legends content. Most of the playerbase hasn’t hit PL. and new world events are always fun to discover and master, for ALL players.

Идея для нового босса в sea of thieves: Мегалодон Королева Тьмы, появляется как босс, помечается головой мегалодона из облаков (черная), когда ты к нему подплываешь, он как и обычный мегалодон, начинает атаковать, но отличия от обычного мегалодона будет его хп, размер, и особые атаки, про особые атаки:Он может ослеплять тех кого он атакует, на некоторое время если не спрятатся от дыма во время, он как и обычный мегалодон может кусать корабль, может прызвать теневых скелетов на теневом корабле, которые умирают от 3 попаданий (по ним нужно стрелять сначала 1 огненным, потом ядрами) , так как если стрелять без зажигающего ядра, то ядра будут проходить насквозь, сам мегаладон может тоже становится на некоторое время прозрачным когда у него остается мало хп, по нему так же надо стрелять зажигательным, и потом только ядрами, либо же просто ждать когда он выйдет из прозрачности, иногда может замедлять корабль как кракен(на некоторое время), после убийства из него будут выпадать такие вещи как:Пылающие, Обычные, 10-20 кусков мегалодона, и особый предмет, который можно будет продать Дюку в таверне, либо же в приют смерти это зуб тьмы(выглядит как зуб мегалодона), если этим зубом ударить человека, то на него накладывается эффект слепоты котооый проходит через некоторое время, и эффект перелома. (этот ивент может передвигатся самостоятельно в любую точку карты, только со скоростью мегалодона, и может иногда становится на месте) Новые достижения:Охотник на Королеву Тьмы и Торговец зубами тьмы. На этом все.

Hi, I absolutely love this game, and I want to get someone into it but they have a phobia of vomit, can you guys add accessibility to remove or change it? I’m imagining an option in the menu for removing the animations and sound, but it can’t remove everything because it would give that player a slight advantage, but if you could do something that would be amazing, thank you for reading my comment

An update I’d love to see is one where you somehow incorporate keys into the game. Maybe a bunch of copies are discovered to exist. Or maybe they are stolen. You could add an extra part of a mission where you could go find the key and get more gold, but face a difficult challenge.

Actually the game isn't that great, there's no progression system, the updates are just 're-skins of last things like just adding more skeletons, more fetch quests and constant grinding for no real benefit apart from cosmetics. The one good thing I have to say about the game is its graphics which I have to admit are stunning. But probably because the developer's spend most of the time on them

There seems to be a lot of occasions where there's people that likes to park at the Reapers Ridge where you get the reaper chest and take it to sell it,people like to park there boats around that area to steal the Reapers chest from others as they come up it makes it almost not worth going after the Reapers chest and ive talk to a lot of people about that and that's why there's not as many people going out to the Reapers chest
It rarely happens to me and whole point of the chest is that its risky to pick up and sell.

These skeletons look very nice but they are just another type of skeletons. For the future i really wish to have different enemys on islands too. Anyway im pretty happy with the new content as usual.

Kinda disappointed. It’s just another encounter that’s similar to the others. Sea of thrives needs to get more adventures with there updates
Fire, fire, fire and a little more fire. Ok , wonder what we're going to get more of? Oh ya, FIRE. Note to devs, not everything in SOT has to be themed. A big skeleton that carries around a cannon with grape shot or one that has an anchor and chain attack, one you have to fight in the water.......not the best ideas but change it up a little. Game is artistically a masterpiece, more could be done with adding a few more nautical niceties, dolphins jumping/playing in the wake of ships, sea turtles, you know just add a few things other than parrots 😉
