Hey welyn ya know I always dreamed of one day logging into open crew sloop and finding thepumpkinpirate at ship box talking to his chat deciding what to put on and we sink a few toxic homophobic trash talking.
I just want to point out my friend and I were screaming like monkeys when we saw you can sleep and take stuff directly from barrels to the storage crate. This is a quality of life update, and I love it. Also, that sleeveless jacket and bandana look sick! Specially the jacket, I've been waiting one like that a long time. Keep it up!

Sea of thieves is the only game I can think of where the devs say “Well, we never did add something like this, so let’s come back and do so!” Which proves to me that this game to them is a lot more than just a quota to meet like more modern titles. This is clearly a passion project and it shows. Keep up the good work! 💚
They are also the devs who released the game pretty much as a huge empty sandbox for a loooong time :P
But yeah, they have been adding a lot of nice things, and NOW they are worth praising.

They didnt so anything actually worth grinding or playing for, youre gonna sit while doing nothing but sailing. Sitting doesnt do anything but….sitting. Youre gonna let off fireworks once and say thats cool. Nothing changed. Its weird to call this “content” but when the bar is in hell then i guess its cool.

@@ItsVxctor First of all what does that have anything to do with it and second of all I don't know that from memory, I just like firing off fireworks now and then whenever I get them.
* The burry treasure thing is actually amazing. So much potential with hiding your loot to get later.
*Furthermore, setting up quests is a wonderful idea for people.
*The sleeping thing will be very useful in getting back health when you take just a little bit of damage, and you don’t need to waste a banana to replenish it
*the new markers for Meg loot, voice trumpet reversal, and storage crate thing are really helpful quality of life changes.
*the gun ammo pouches that drop from gun skeletons actually make using a gun viable against them

Wow, Ammo Pouches sound AWESOME. One of my biggest gripes with OoS quests is running out of ammo too quickly with gold skeles so this will alleviate that a bit.
Transferring all supplies to a crate is amazing too, great quality of life improvements all around this update.

I love these big updates with a lot of little stuff. I'm not saying quantity over quality but high quantity of high quality is obviously great. Couldn't say a single bad thing about the stuff showcased in this video. Great work!

Ok do rats might be useless but say one practical downside to them. There isn’t one. The only thing I see is the upside of your ship feeling more real.
These developers are genius. They actually care about their customers and are passionate about the community.

I've been a Rare fan since Donkey Kong 64 and I absolutely love how much care and detail they put into all of their games. You can tell that Rare really cares about making quality games.
This is probably shaping up to be one of my favorite updates so far. QoL improvements are excellent!
Honestly, its these updates I like the best. Yes there isnt a bunch of NEW stuff but its changes that make the game so much less of a chore to play and expand the sandbox style. Burying treasure, quest boards, emptying barrels and all the other changes are going to feel so amazing.

Yup, the season system is spot-on. There's been 1 season I didn't bother returning to, every other one got me back on deck the moment it got released!

The item transfer and burying treasure are the best part in my opinion

All this stuff is really awesome! Another idea or two for future updates: Please have an update of the cosmetics tab (for both the Ship and your Pirate). You could add a search bar to help search for specific cosmetics, or, even better: have a Favorites tab. Being able to favorite cosmetics would be so helpful!
a preset feature for pirate/ship cosmetics would be really neat too

Oh my god, thank you guys! I’ve always been in charge of stocking up the ship for my friends so the storage crate change is a life saver. Also, the rest of the additions look awesome. Can’t wait to play!
I can't wait to sneak aboard an unsuspecting ship with a supply crate, hoover up all their supplies in seconds, then sneak away.
Not for anything, I love how the infernal galop (can can song) sounds on the hurdy gurdy! I can quickly see that becoming my favorite shanty along with a pirates life for me
While it is convenient for the crew ; keep in mind its now also convenient for enemies to board your ship ; spawncamp you while they load up your storage crate with everything in your barrels and throw it overboard; leaving you with 0 supplies

I love that we still get these quality of life updates, the big stuff may be exciting and is what draws people in or back to the game, and it certainly is and does, but these smaller changes end up making the broader experience of playing the game that little bit more enjoyable that can keep you going through a long play session, and keeps you playing while you wait for what’s next in store
I love how actually impactful the fireworks are, they feel great from the video, can't wait to test out and enjoy them in game

I love the Player generated quests, I sometimes bum around doing commendations as I've maxed everything other than Reapers and Athena and The Game throws a ton of loot at me that I just end up Leaving. If I could Bury it again and then post the Map on the job board then that would be better.
I'm going to try and make a 🍆 with the X's on the map just because then post it.

I'm so hyped about the player created quests! I've loved leaving supplies for other crews, this is so much better than I could have imagined.

I LOVE these kinds of updates for Sea of Thieves. Big new additions to the world are awesome and all… but I get so excited when I see the current world get fleshed out and filled with so much more.

This update is honestly really cool. I've been hoping for a canon row-boat for a while, which is a huge game changer, but holy crow... Just all the other tiny details even aside from that! Well done, crew.
This literally looks so fun! I love the idea of the treasure quest system where other crews can find your treasure.

Amazing quality of life, this is amazing!, i wish there was some accessebility option for fishing, its very hard to see what fish you have caught, at least for me who are colore blind and have reduced sight >w

This is GREAT! I feel like as a single/small crew of two player the loot quests will make it a lot better so that you don't have to get sunk all the time turning in treasure. That was a great idea to bury treasure and make maps for other players to find! It's so nerve wracking to spend an hour getting treasure only to get sank on the way to turn it in.

well, it's *rare* that a game developer gets pumped with as much money as rare are by microsoft... microsoft are hard pushing for the games as a service platform with gamepass etc, microsoft are funnelling money into rare, most game devs dont get that oppurtinity

these quality of life updates are HUGE IMO. ammo pouches, rats revealing water intake, new markers on loot in the water, and the storage crate mechanics are big buffs for people on console (like me). This makes me love Rare even more
Ammo pouch is nice, there are already multiple indications of water on board so rats aren't that important, loot markers are nice if you get turned around but not super significant, the storage crate mechanic is definitely the best qol update in this update, but overall this isn't even the biggest qol update in SoT. This is another "Oh that's neat" update that won't really breath much life into the game imo.
Genuine question. Is it hard for console players to hear specific audio cues like the amount of water in the boat? Idk what kind of speakers the average user has.
@@southwardfaun9008 sometimes I think so, 90% of people I see in this game, will crash into an island and just never bucket or repair until it's too late
@@southwardfaun9008 mmm it's a lot harder in the mixt of combat or when you're in a party with how Xbox's audio works. Plus if you're like me and have hearing loss (which is honestly very common) then it's even harder to tell, it's honestly really useful

I mean, there have been plenty of QoL changes that are as good if not better than this one. This seems great if you are into RP, but if not then it's quite minor.
