Hi Everyone, We hope you enjoyed our video! Which small camper under 4,000lbs GVWR did you like best? Do you prefer a travel trailer, motorhome or 5th wheel? Please say hello by leaving a comment below and sharing you opinion about these RV floor plans.
🤣 Thank you very much! Don't let the MSRP scare you too much. RV shows and dealerships drastically reduce prices. And I bet there are a lot of "gently used" RVs on the market too. We always recommend buying used...and getting a 3rd party inspection. Thank you for watching our RV tour video and commenting!
Thank you! We sometimes mention the step up into the shower when it's really high, we'll make a better attempt on future videos. Thank you for watching our RV tour video and commenting.
I just wanted to say thank you for your awesome videos! Your videos are by far my husband's and my favorite RV videos. Full of great information, great tips, you show us the stuff that people really care about. You put a lot of work in these and I just want you to know how much it is appreciated! Thank you so much! Looking forward to many great videos in the future!
Thank you so much for the kinds words. So glad your comment was my first this morning...I'm in a great mood now 🤣. We truly enjoy doing RV tours and sharing tips we've learned along the way! Thank you so much for your support!❤️
I have a 2023 Jayco Jayflight 195RB Baja. RV queen, head forward so no crawling over your partner. Bath does not have a sink, we don’t care. Only the two of us. 3100 lbs dry. Solar equipped, we added a second 200W panel, replaced original batteries with lithium, so have 400 watts solar and 200 aH with a 3000 watt inverter. Carry a 2500 watt Generac, just in case. Instead of replacing the mattress, we added a two inch memory foam top. Nice layout, flipped axle for off road. Also added an electric jack. Good sized all electric refrigerator, tankless water heater. 30 lb propane, 30 gallon freshwater tank, 20 gallon gray & black tanks. Shower is in small tub, but I can sit in it, so not bad. Only two person dinette, not an issue. Curtain to close off bed.
Thank you for sharing the specs on your Jayco. Sounds like you have an awesome setup with some great upgrades! Enjoy and safe travels. Thank you for watching our RV tour video and commenting!
I'm so glad you are loving your Retro 135! I think this is an awesome solo RVer camper! Thank you for sharing your experience. And thank you for watching our RV tour video and commenting!
Our current camper doesn’t have a sink inside. We keep a bottle of sanitizer right by the door knob. Quick wipe to at least sanitize. Then you go to kitchen sink and wash as needed. It’s never been a problem and we’ve never gotten sick while camping. So our system must be working. 🙌
We agree with your work around for a bathroom sink. Makes sense to us. Thank you for sharing. And thank you for watching our RV tour video and commenting!
If you have the opportunity to review the 2024 Imagine Aim 14MS we'd love to get your opinion on that travel trailer. The layout is rather unique. We haven't been able to find one on a lot near us yet!
Love that floor plan. We'll look for that at the upcoming Tampa RV show. Thanks for the suggestion. And thank you for watching our RV tour video and commenting!
A sink outside the bathroom was a deal breaker for me when we were shopping for our travel trailer. I want to be able to wash my hands before touching the door handle.
I love the red n silver retro camper, it matches my red n silver dually truck! 😂 But visualizing a dually matching truck pulling that itty bitty camper would be funny as heck to see 🤣. However, that camper needs another window on the other side of the bed minimally, n a front one too preferably. 🍻
Love your videos so thank you so much! What camper are available under 2000 lbs for 2 people? Can you maybe do a Q&A video ? Just an idea. Thank you for all you do.
Thank you so much for the kind words! 💚💛 We have an older video about campers under 2,000lbs but unfortunately that weight is the UVW not GVWR. Which means that once you add food, clothing and camping gear that weight SOME of these RVs would be closer to 3,000lbs. A Q&A video is something we have thought about doing in the past, maybe we'll reconsider. Thank you for suggesting and thank you for your support.
Those are awesome ! I really favor the first one and maybe do away with the bunk beds ? However definitely need a microwave, even if it's a counter top. I agree, sink is necessary to shave if nothing else but I guess you could always venture to the bath house for that ? Hope y'all had a wonderful Christmas and have a safe and Happy New Year. ! Can't wait to see what y'all have in store for us ! Thank y'all !!
So glad you liked these small campers. The Forest River Salem is definitely a great floor plan for under 4,000. We had a great Christmas with the family. Hope yours was a great one too! Looking forward to 2024. Thank you for all your support Darryl!
Great video. What's wrong with putting a hook lower on the bathroom shower wall and using the shower nozzle at this low point to wash your hands? Simple solution.
Did you like the Salem with the bunks or the R-Pod. Forest River does makes some great floor plans! Thank you for watching our RV tour video and commenting!
Thank you! We definitely enjoy touring smaller campers including popups. We recently released this video with Pop Ups th-cam.com/video/aHGurNsQDcQ/w-d-xo.html Thank you for watching our RV tour video and commenting!
The only one I'd be interested in is the middle one, the red retro. The first was cheap and don't need bunks. The third i didn't like bc no bathroom or inside kitchen and the cushions didn't look comfortable. I can deal with no bath sink being one person but if i had a family, I'd want one. Thanks! 😊
All great and valid points! This R-Pod is designed for a specific type of camper. We don't fit that category either 🤣. The Riverside Retro was adorable. Thanks Britt!
While it may not be everyone's cup of tea, I still prefer my Jayco hybrid. I like the fact that it has a manual slide-out with a jackknife bed. The forced air heat keeps it comfortable even with the bunks opened up. These 3 travel trailers just don't interest me, but that's just my humble opinion. My hybrid is perfect for me and the wife, and pulls very good with my 1/2 ton Suburban.
I (Susan) owned a Pop Up when my kids were little and we loved it. So I know how you feel. The best part was sleeping in the "tent" like beds. Thank you for sharing your Jayco information. Enjoy and safe travels.
1. The Forest River was cool🎉, but it is stick and tin, not even the bed frame was reinforced. So that’s a 😱 from me as I like cold weather and have broken a wood framed bed before. LOL! The first think I’d do is frisbee the bunks and make an office/storage area. 2. Riverside… someone else will love it. 😊 3. Bending over for me would not be good. Love your work, keep up the good work. I’ve lost interest. 😢
The last two floor plans are definitely unique for certain individual taste. The Salem was a great "traditional" floor plan. Thank you for your support Erin, we appreciate it!
I would modify the side of the bed with brackets attached to 1 foot board and add a 1 foot cushion to the side of the bed to lengthen the bed to be North-south bed just to where the jack-knifed couch extends to. I'm under 5 ft, my husband is 6ft/5ft 11"
on campers that are on the small side they should put the sink in the shower and make it dual purpose. No need for a vanity...just a sink/ or downspout to wash your hands in the shower...if that makes sense
Completely agree. Should be pretty easy to design something that combines the two...like in a wet bath. Thank you for watching our RV tour video and commenting!
I'm not sure why, but these trailers reminded me of early 1991. I bought a brand new, just released, Apple McIntosh IIsi, priced at just under 3000 USD. This beast had a CPU (Motorola) 20 MHz, 8 MB of RAM, and a 40 MB hard drive. Rounding out this powerhouse was a SCSI port and the dominant floppy drive. I won't even start on how this thing was put together. PhotoShop came with a bundle of floppy disks that took some time loading and then to render a photo or complete another basic task I could go make a sandwich, have lunch, or do some yard work and check in every once in a while on the progress. Why the memory? Well, it was a computer and I justified buying it by telling myself, I'll use this to learn more. Did I? Of course. Was it worth the money? Not really as prices would drop and innovations would increase drastically over the upcoming decade and beyond. My point I suppose, is that these trailers are overpriced and cheaply built, probably with a shelf life of a year or two. 24-27k? Nope, buy a better built, used camper. Maybe just rent one for the small amount of time you may use it, or, buy a 10x12 canvas tent and learn to camp. Almost 27k and no toilet???? Thanks Susan and Mike for your work.
This was a great analogy about the evolution of the home computer. We sure have a come long way. I believe if you would've seen these TT on the market in 2019 their MSRP would be closer to $15-18K. At the beginning of Covid there was an increase demand in camping, lack of materials for building, poor quality craftsmanship and greed that has definitely tarnished to reputation of RV manufacturers and the industry. Let's hope we see an improvement soon. Thank you Tuvia for your support.
I am looking for something to live in with insulation and stove an fridge and I need it to be about 18 ft 7 ft tall with big bathroom seperrit shower and hook up for washer an dryer and solor pannels
You won't be able to find one with a W/D under 18', but you can certainly find all the rest of those features. Hopefully we can help you find something.
I don't care about having a sink in the bathroom. I'm the only 1 that will be using it. I would probably use the shower as a closet. And I don't need a queen bed either. A twin would be sufficient for me. Other than those things, the retro is my favorite. I'm 70 & don't need all the things families need.
No, I’m not understanding this. I just read on camp world or something like that that the gross vehicle weight, which is in the inside drivers door frame on a sticker, which I found, explains how much your particular vehicle can tow and not go over, even though I was sold this vehicle, and told 4000 towing capacity, the number here is 1469?
Lol.. these PRICES!! You could sleep in a 5 star hotel for years and years on vacation .... or buy a box on wheels and stay neck to neck in a campground.. choices choices...
@@RVBlogger we're a couple so modifications have really made it work we liked the Murphy bed model but didn't feel we had enough space. In the TB we removed the top bunk and added a Laguna table and like I mentioned took out the bathroom sink definitely doesn't pass the elbow test but workable in a pinch lol
We can certainly try to find some TTs that fit that category. We do have one video of 15', I'll share that link. th-cam.com/video/FED22n4qEQ8/w-d-xo.html Thank you for watching our RV tour video and commenting.
@RVBlogger thank you. The reason I was asking is I live in California and I've been researching costs involved besides just the cost of TT. And in CA, registration is $10 every 5 yrs if the trailer is under 16ft (hitch-bumper). Or paying same as a vehicle registration if over 16'. I love your videos, keep up the good work!
There are some drop down sinks, like what you described, on the market. I'm sure we will begin to see more in the future. Thank you for watching our RV tour video and commenting.
I don't need the microwave but air fryer from emril product that I like to replace this but as u walk in wish the 2 sliders were be better for roomy space. I rather have 2 chairs and table but no room for portable washer/dryer combo in have to look for something for SUV car for traveling to the beach and ocean which I love but nature for wild birds I like to listen to fair ground I like to bring with. I have to look for something better with slides so I don't know what to look for
A sink in the bathroom is a necessity. There are times you need to clean yourself. Such as During your Menstrual cycle, or if you have a stomach bug, or diarrhea.
Sounds like you would benefit more from a shower then a sink this is why they make so many different types of campers because no one camps the same way as anybody else
You bring up a valid point. Some people really prefer to have a bathroom sink, and that's ok. Some travel trailer bathrooms are just way to small to accommodate one. Thank you for watching our RV tour video and commenting!
I work in a wastewater treatment plant. I am getting my license to be a main operator in waste water. I can tell you right now that it does not matter where you wash your hands. Dropping your food in a sink that is as clean as you think it can possibly be and then eat it is gross. So if you think that dropping a grape in your kitchen sink is safer than dropping a grape in your bathroom toilet then you have no idea what goes on in your sink!
Ewww! 🤢 Great point! We have no idea how many germs we ingest on a daily basis. I drop my grapes in the sink all the time!!! Thank you for that insight. And thank you for watching our RV tour video and commenting. We appreciate your support!
That's fair. Nice to know it's available to those with kids that need them, in a camper under 4,000lbs. Thank you for watching our RV tour video and commenting!
These are Tiny. I would like to see something 28 to 30 foot long and under 3500. Just not sure why manufacturers keep ignoring what would be a big seller
That would be awesome. But between building materials and appliances, you won't find a TT that long for that weight. Even fiberglass campers at 21'-23' length run over 7,000lbs. Thank you for watching our RV tour video and commenting!
Great video, and thanks. You made some good points. And 17 Minutes in, regarding the question of whether or not the bathroom must have a sink? Jesus. Some people are SO hung up on sanitation. Of COURSE... hand sanitizer would work, and just fine, in the toilet area. People don't 'need' an extra sink; the one in the camper is fine. My God what wimps there are in our world. Your hands, when you walk in from being in public, are far dirtier (in terms of germs) than your butt. It's just paranoia about feces, driven by irrational fears of women. Get OVER it, ladies. Use the hand sanitizer and then use the one sink in the camper. Jesus.
All great points but let's take it easy on the ladies! They aren't the only ones worried about germs...lol Thanks again for watching and commenting! Mike
i rather there not be a sink in the bathroom on all small trailers, even bigger than these, already have a sink, it is still only 2 feet away, closer than sink in many home bathrooms, i rather use that space a bathroom sink takes up for something else anyday...like a little bigger shower or more storage.... i might just drop a deuce outside behind a tree anyway, no sink out there.... you are camping, you are in a box in middle of nowhere, who cares, it is not meant to be the most hygenic of activities, how many tent campers do you think washed their hands at all coming from behind that tree over there.
Owned….then realized my mistake/exercised some better decision making and sold it. Never looked back. No travel trailer sold on lots are worth $20. All are complete junk and within months a complete money pit that will never end. Not to mention the pathetic companies that use any loop hole they can to wiggle out of warranty work…ask me how I know.
Sorry for your experience. Between lack of quality craftsmanship and high buyer expectations the RV industry has suffered the past few years. There aren't made like they used to be but I also understand that a house traveling down the road at 60mph is going to experience some damage over time. Let's hope manufacturers make great improvements moving forward. Thank you for watching our RV tour video and commenting!

As long as there is 1 sink- I’d rather have the space!
That's the way I see it too. Thank you for watching our RV tour video and commenting!
Don't understand why they don't use the sinks that sit on top of the toilet tank ir fold down from wall when they don't have room for a regular sink.
There are some drop down sinks, like what you described, on the market. I'm sure we will begin to see more in the future. Thank you for watching our RV tour video and commenting.
I liked the first two but not the the third as much.
The FR R-Pod is a style of travel trailer for specific type of campers. It wouldn't fit our lifestyle either but it's a cool option.
@@RVBlogger I agree
I don't need the microwave but air fryer from emril product that I like to replace this but as u walk in wish the 2 sliders were be better for roomy space. I rather have 2 chairs and table but no room for portable washer/dryer combo in have to look for something for SUV car for traveling to the beach and ocean which I love but nature for wild birds I like to listen to fair ground I like to bring with. I have to look for something better with slides so I don't know what to look for
There are tons of great choices out there so keep looking.

TMI
You bring up a valid point. Some people really prefer to have a bathroom sink, and that's ok. Some travel trailer bathrooms are just way to small to accommodate one. Thank you for watching our RV tour video and commenting!
Agree @scottveras4420 so grateful there are so many varieties to choose from. Something for everyone.
Many other trailer options to choose from that have the sink in the bathroom.
❤❤❤
Thank you Luvpig!
How you going too shave with no sink in the bathroom
Great point! Maybe a mirror in the shower?
The bed can’t be on the camp side (for outside access) as the bed would be in the way of the main door.
Very true! In the moment it was a great idea 🤣. Thank you for watching our RV tour video and commenting.
The first on no windows on camp side. No way I would buy this
There is one window above the kitchen sink but it's small. Thank you for watching our RV tour video and commenting!
If I am willing to pay so much money, I would buy amotorhome.
That's a fair decision.
Price is more reasonable. The 66,000.00 one was not do able.
Glad this price seems more reasonable. Thank you for watching our RV tour video and commenting. We appreciate your support!
We took our sink out of the bathroom. Small bathrooms don't need to waste space with a silly sink
Agree! In a smaller RV it's just more important to feel comfortable in the bathroom. Thank you for watching our RV tour video and commenting!
Estoy buscando
NO BUNKS
That's fair. Nice to know it's available to those with kids that need them, in a camper under 4,000lbs. Thank you for watching our RV tour video and commenting!
I would not pay for camping dun. The camping trailer for 66,000.00 so out wack, It's a camper, not moterhome.
The price of RVs has increased quite a bit over the years.
These are Tiny. I would like to see something 28 to 30 foot long and under 3500. Just not sure why manufacturers keep ignoring what would be a big seller
Good video. I know you can only show what they make, not blaming you. You doing great job.
That would be awesome. But between building materials and appliances, you won't find a TT that long for that weight. Even fiberglass campers at 21'-23' length run over 7,000lbs. Thank you for watching our RV tour video and commenting!
Thank you! We appreciate your support!
They aren't the only ones worried about germs...lol
Thanks again for watching and commenting!
Mike
Geez... true colors shining through on this comment... enjoy your feces!!
You need a real suv to tow this trailer
With a GVWR of 4,000lbs just about any mid-size SUV can tow these travel trailers. Thank you for watching our RV tour video and commenting.
i rather there not be a sink in the bathroom on all small trailers, even bigger than these, already have a sink, it is still only 2 feet away, closer than sink in many home bathrooms, i rather use that space a bathroom sink takes up for something else anyday...like a little bigger shower or more storage.... i might just drop a deuce outside behind a tree anyway, no sink out there.... you are camping, you are in a box in middle of nowhere, who cares, it is not meant to be the most hygenic of activities, how many tent campers do you think washed their hands at all coming from behind that tree over there.
Well said. I completely agree. Thank you for watching our RV tour video and commenting!
Cardboard boxes on utility trailer frames....junk construction
More like sticks and tin on a travel trailer frame. Do you own a travel trailer? Thank you for watching our RV tour video and commenting.
Please tell me people are bot foolish not to play that much money for a camper.
Hopefully they are negotiating the MSRP down to a better sales price.
Def need sink in bathroom. Not a fan of washing up in kitchen and brushing teeth there too
That's fair. To some the bathroom sink is still very important. Thank you for watching our RV tour video and commenting!
Who cares about ice maker
I guess someone that likes ice in their drink and doesn't always want to buy a bag of ice 🤷♀️. We love our ice maker. Thank you for watching our RV tour video and commenting. We appreciate your support!
