Hi Kesh, I know you are probably not reading this but you have inspired me to draw and think I'm a great artist. After watching you I have improved a lot guys try it it is totally worth it and Kesh you are great keep doing what you do and dont give up
Your videos inspire me. I was lost! I have always loved art but always had excuses for not doing it. I don't remember how I came across your channel, but it is a treasure for me. It gave me a sense of direction.I have my mind all set now. Thanks, Kesh. Thank you so much for speaking out your heart. It connects with a lot of us
One question about the deliberate practice: how long did you practice each thing? Like you wanna get better at heads so how long did you practice heads and and in what period of days? Like a month? Weeks?
Good one! I've usually gone for anywhere from 10-100 individual studies which are pretty quick. Now I suggest say a total of 20 hrs to practice one specific unit of a skill such as drawing heads. These 20 hrs can be split anyway you like, such as 20 mins a day:)
I don't really understand why you only have almost 300k subs. Like, men! I've been into over 20 or more art channels with millions of subscribers but I still come back to watch your videos. It's like one of the most comforting place to be. Good going!
Thanks for the video. Just what I need right now, I'm been feeling lazy and kind of down, leaving off my drawings. I'm gonna go finish my pending work now. Good day :)
If I had only lots of money I will jump into your site &learn from you literally YOU ARE SUCH A GREAT ARTIST.Yeah keep creating &uploading videos you inspired a lot of beginners just like me...Just cool..
That explains everything. Like kesh, you deserve more exposure. With a quality entertainment & informative style of video You helped me a lot to get better (at least.)
oh, kesh thank you so much. you know what I also love to draw during my childhood. But by the time being this hobby of mine is left behind. But one fine morning I just grab a pen and start drawing from one of my collection of references and post it on my FB profile. So many people boost me so much that I start my drawing recently and fall in love. though as I am a software engineer by profession but your story inspires me so much that I will try to draw at least 15 mins every day. thank you so much kesh. Good luck buddy
Hi Kesh I love your videos. Every time you post I get super excited. I watch a lot of your videos over and over again. I would really love it if you did more sketchbook tours and more traditional art. If you don’t I will still love your vids. Keep up the good work✍️😁
You’re probbably the only person that I’ve heard saying that it’s ok to miss a day or even a week, and come back to it. It’s very freeing to think this way. Regardless, I want to make it my goal to draw every single day, with the intention to get better at drawing environments. I always loved landscapes, and even though I love seeing people designing characters/drawing people, I feel like I shouldn’t try to practice both at the same time. I will have to shelf this for now, so that I can get better at environments faster 👍
This is awesome as always, thank you Kesh. I started the 100 days of sketching and stopped at 50 something (skipping a few days because of my job).. and felt demotivated after that. This is helping lift my spirits up. Thank you again. :)
Kesh, it's funny you talk about getting back on the train because I've recently made this mantra for myself about art and being busy at school and missing days of practice and that is: You only quit when you don't get back to it! If you do, then you've just taken a break! And there's nothing wrong with some well timed breaks.
I lacked those tools as well. I guess, start! I borrowed my friends camera to make TH-cam videos for the first few years and used ballpoint pens and copy paper to draw on:)
Your understanding of what your style is very impressive. What brush is that for the procreare, love the texture so much! Would you make an episode sharing how usually you paint and pick cooour for your illustration?
I'm wondering what your daily practice rules were in the beginning - how you chose what to draw, for example, and whether it was time based or you tried to complete a whole drawing... I love your work!
That's a great question! Here's what I did. For the first year, I mostly focused on making a fully finished Drawing everyday. Then I moved on to specific subjects. I would pick one and do 25-100 studies of em, apply that knowledge in an illustration and move to the next. Hope this helps:)
You are never too old to be a artist, if you started doing art at the age of 65 then by the age of 86 you did like 21 years of creating art. 21 years is not too bad if you ask me.
I like your Art and your Style and your videos are so good i have a question what do you use for a brush in Procreate? The brush looks very smooth. Thanks
