I found that using film cleaner on older acetate film actually detaches some of the emulsion in places, giving it a raindrop effect, so I chose not to go through with the cleaning process and rather scan the film as is. Curious to hear your experience with this.
It’s all about trialling different methods! Different film here today react differently to different cleaners on the market it’s a lengthy time consuming process with no quick fix we’re afraid!
