This video was very helpful. A few friends of mine at my local hobby store own this game, and this video pointed out a lot of essential things that we were doing wrong. I suppose that is what we get for having a single person go over the rules without looking for any FAQs. Always a pleasure to watch these rules and gameplay videos and find out something new. I look forward to seeing what the masses decide to play in the game, because I've enjoyed playing several of the characters already.
YES! You have no idea how long I have been waiting for someone to make videos like this! I've always had an easier time learning how to play a board game by watching others player. Keep up the great work!
Rodney- this was an outstanding start to this session. Your production values continue to increase with every show and the way you deliver the information is excellent.
I've only just got into this game and would like to say that your series of videos for it have been invaluable and have increased my understanding of the rules no end. Keep up the good work.
Lovely video Rodney, you covered all the rules very well and in a nice cohesive flowing way. I am SUPER DARN EXCITED to watch this video series play out, this is by far one of my favorite board games.
Finally broke down and ordered this one. The assembly of the miniatures seems daunting, but thanks to this video, I think the end result will be worth it.
You continue to wow me with your videos mate, what a great rundown! I love the look and feel of this game already, and what a great gear mechanic with the colours and spaces around the hero cards. Another great choice, fingers crossed we can play the embermage :-)
Thank you for the outstanding videos and rules reviews. I have watched quite a few of your overviews and have found each one interesting, entertaining, and informative. Keep up the amazing work! :)
Sweet, can't wait to see this played out! I was thinking about getting this game for my gaming group. I really want this but some of the other folks in my group thinks it's not grown up enough, lol. Hopefully, by watching this series, it'll change their minds. Keep up the great work!
Fantastic Video. I play a cut down version with my kids. Watched this from start to finihs as, like with the others, I found the in box instructions very inadequate :) Thank you
Hi, i'm Matteo from Italy and i just wanna say i LOVE your videos. You guys have so much passion and i really like the relationship between you and your kids. Makes me wanna have some kids myself eheh. Anyway, i heard about your channel 2/3 days now and i basically watched all of your videos, don't know what to do now xD ps. i wasn't sure about the d&d boardgame but your WIP made me buy it :) bye bye
Great video! My friend just bought this game, rulebook doesn't seem to be super straight forward haha. But we only did a few things wrong. I wrote down everything we did wrong for next time we play!
So, first I saw a video about Small World, then watch yours and went to buy it, now I'm gonna buy this game thanks to you, but I'm gonna wait for the 2nd print
I really like the look of this game and its not that expensive... compared to OTHER war games at least. The details are so in-depth to, I love that 'Time out' ability the bosses have, just like a in game cutscene.
Awesome video! I loved learning about this game and really want to get it now. I did some shopping online for it but is this game like completely unavailable or something? I can't find it anywhere.....
Great video and I love the nice touch of the video game rock/metal music chosen. I ju wish I had some gaming friends to play this with. =( Keep up the great work!
Though this video was published over a year ago and the instructions have been revised since, I think it is important to note that the hero start point is to be placed UP TO 4 spaces from any hallway without an adjoining dungeon, and not AT 4 spaces. So, this theoretically means that a hero start marker can be placed 2 spaces from any hallway without an adjoining dungeon. This taken from the rulebook version 1.5 page 8.
I just received my set today and I'm super stoked! I've read the manual 15 times and watched each one of your episodes probably 5 times each. Thank you very much for putting this series together!
So I guess we can expect Luke to kill everyone since this game involves dice and we can just keep him alive. Then again...you are due for a win Rodney.
Anytime you move the monster, and it causes it to shift into new squares, that is 1 action point. It's hard to explain in text, but if you watch some of our game play episodes, I think it will become clear.
fair point also what is the diference ammong the dices, i mean i know the green on e is the best because it can reach 4 stars but for future episodes "if the game has custom made dices show the diferences to the public" you would be suprised how much that helps
It's pronounced melee (may-lay) 🤦♂️ meaning a physical attack at close range usually with a weapon. I like your video but how you pronounce that drives me up a wall 🤣

A friend just got his copy put together and we will be playing this weekend - I'm glad you have a series on this, Rodney! Love watching your videos.
Thank you Jared, I hope you and your friend have a great time playing!

Thank you Andrew :)

That song is just too epic.
Finally broke down and ordered this one. The assembly of the miniatures seems daunting, but thanks to this video, I think the end result will be worth it.
Hope you enjoyed playing this one!
Been forever since I watched this video....and I completely forgot how epically awesome the "theme music" is.
Chaz knocked this one out of the park :)
I'm so excited for this game. I got on this bandwagon a little late in the game, and now I get to play!
You continue to wow me with your videos mate, what a great rundown!

Appreciate it - I will!
Love the start up music. just like the old time classic video games.
Thank you! My family and I love your show.
Great video! My friend just bought this game, rulebook doesn't seem to be super straight forward haha.
But we only did a few things wrong. I wrote down everything we did wrong for next time we play!
Very glad to be able to help!
thank you for posting this. i am getting this game and i can't wait.
So, first I saw a video about Small World, then watch yours and went to buy it, now I'm gonna buy this game thanks to you, but I'm gonna wait for the 2nd print
These videos are really getting amazing guys! Great work sir.
Thanks for the video. I'm excited to see you guys playing it!
Hey Rodney I've been watching all your videos and I love them all especially this one
Thank you Duncan!
Great instructional video. Can't wait for this.
I loved the song at the beginning!
This game feels pretty easy to learn, and I think I might like to play it.
I cannot wait to see this serie! :) Will be good!
i love the videos and subscribed never been big on board games but now ive got a huge list threatening to empty my pockets :)
I just got it as well. I am so used to snaptight parts that I was surprised I could not even dry fit it without glue
Hope the assembly went okay!
I really like the look of this game and its not that expensive... compared to OTHER war games at least. The details are so in-depth to, I love that 'Time out' ability the bosses have, just like a in game cutscene.
Glad you enjoyed the look of this one!

Great explanations as usual.
Dugout this game again. This video is so helpful! thank you
You're very welcome!
this guide is sooooo useful!! thanks!
You're very welcome!
These rules are a disaster! I appreciate the video, it's really going to help us play.
I was waiting for this.
I hope you guys do another for forgotten king. The rules have changed a lot.
No plans to currently, but I am curious to see the changes.
Perhaps you should look at the new Dungeons Edition 2 and the Legends model.
Just played this last night. It's super fun, even if the models are unprainted. It's like tabletop Gauntlet.
Glad you enjoyed this one!
Great video and I love the nice touch of the video game rock/metal music chosen. I ju wish I had some gaming friends to play this with. =(
Keep up the great work!

Thanks for the update. I've been eyeing my SDE set recently, thinking about cracking it out and teaching myself the new rules soon.
I just received my set today and I'm super stoked! I've read the manual 15 times and watched each one of your episodes probably 5 times each. Thank you very much for putting this series together!
nawlnsboy So great :) Have fun!!
Are you planning on doing an updated series with the Forgotten King set?
+Bob McCown No plans to currently, though I do hope to try that eventually myself.
***** Thanks. Love your videos. Helped us learn Space Hulk and SDE. Guess we'll slog through Forgotten King ourselves.
+Bob McCown All the best!
Guys, thank you for setting me up with a visual reference for my first game of SDE!
Very glad it helped!
Great channel. Thanks!

It seems like you must have liked this game a ton lot! This looks like the only game you sleeved from what I see so far.. hhahha!
OMGGGGG EPIC INTROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
it's MAAAAYLLLAAAAYYYYYy!!! lol
Yeah, doing these videos helped me learn I'd been pronouncing it wrong!
im gunna buy this game
Hi. Sorry for question. Which game is it in first 10 seconds of video?
Mansions Of Madness 1st Edition, Wrath of Ashardalon, Small World, Space Hulk.
the bases for bosses and minibosses, how are they counted when moving from square to square? *****
Anytime you move the monster, and it causes it to shift into new squares, that is 1 action point. It's hard to explain in text, but if you watch some of our game play episodes, I think it will become clear.
what is the thirth (3) game in the intro?
Small World. You'll find it in our playlists.
What is the fourth game in the intro ?
Korneel T That was Space Hulk. We have a series on that, if you check our play lists.
nice music
Where can I find this game?!
In stores and online?
You pronounce melee better than I do, I've gotten into the habit of saying it as "mee-lee" ^_^
Yeah, that's how I always said it, until I was corrected on the show :)
***** (in the voice of a minion..) MAAYLAAAYYYY!! hehe.
Hi... Can you please name the games in the intro?
Mansions of Madness (first edition), Wrath of Ashardalon, Small World and Space Hulk. You'll find videos for each in our playlists.
and what is the first game in the intro too? please jeeje
Mansions of Madness, we have a series on that in our playlists as well.
thanks, i buy super dugeon after see this video , nice chanel (sorry for my english jajajaja)
No trouble at all - glad you liked it!
Whoa, was this beat stolen from MC Chris- The Tussin?
FAQ Answer: th-cam.com/video/p0Lv8LHadMc/w-d-xo.htmlm41s
***** Ah touche, seems MC Chris got his beat from Gauntlet
Why would anyone "dislike" this? What's wrong with you?
+AnonymousInternetPerson001 Ah, not everyone likes the same things :) It's all good!
so D&D for casuals?
Ramiro Galletti At least the combat portion of D&D, but I probably wouldn't want to give someone the impression that the game is light or casual :)
fair point also what is the diference ammong the dices, i mean i know the green on e is the best because it can reach 4 stars but for future episodes "if the game has custom made dices show the diferences to the public" you would be suprised how much that helps
It's pronounced melee (may-lay) 🤦♂️ meaning a physical attack at close range usually with a weapon. I like your video but how you pronounce that drives me up a wall 🤣
Believe me, I've become aware. I've been informed by several others (who were also driven to madness by this mis-pronunciation). Sorry!
@@WatchItPlayed my apologies. I didn't read the other comments.
@@KadeofCavarshNo apology necessary - just wanted you to know you aren't alone!
