Good video! Is there a way I could require new members to register with a voucher code from a list of codes stored in a database and then add their details to that database? Thanks for any ideas.
thanks for this tutorial. Have the free version that came with my LP theme. Looking at stepping it up. paid a company to set up my site and they said it wasn't possible. Something you said about a collection of posts, at 13:15 makes me think it is. I sell courses separately from the memberships, at least that was the membership model. paid members are supposed to be able to keep their course content - no expirations. But web developer said was impossible. I am stuck for months now trying to find anyone to help get this up and running - any suggestions as to where to turn?
Sounds like what you’re doing is built right into the plugin by default, if I’m understanding correctly. Your best bet is to contact paid memberships plugin directly, they have really good support and it’s worth upgrading to get your questions answered especially if you’re running a business with it.
@@WPMinute Thanks for the reply. We discovered that PMP is married to the LP pugin and it won't be able to do what I want. The idea is we have paid courses - which LP helps me design ( courses into lessons etc.) But I wish to sell the courses on their own one at a time. And also was hoping to have a membership subscription scenario where people who subscribe would have no expiration on the courses they purchase and can build a library of resources. Also paid members gain access to more perks - discount etc. I think I am just asking too much from one plugin. It appeared possible but I just can't see that it can do it. Maybe with another plugin for subscriptions and one for purchases? Thank you I can try to reach out to PMP
@@tuckercreek7027 Interesting question! I also have PMP plugin installed in my Wordpress theme, and I'm planning to have online courses to be sold separately and also a membership option for clients that wish to pay a monthly fee to access all courses and other resources. So, my question is, did you find a solution to your problem? Since I think I'll have the same issue when I finish creating my course and want to set up my membership site. Thanks!
Hi there, any sites where i can see this working with a stripe gateway? I am working on a project where real estate brokers can post a profile (custom post type) when they sign up as a member (which is a WordPress subscriber).
Not really any good examples come to mind and there’s nothing to really “see” in this case as the checkout looks the same, it just processes through stripe.
Is there a way to customise the appearance or look of the front-end pages? I would like to be able to customise and add some more content to the pages. For instance, I would like a page that explains what the membership levels include...very similar to the PMP pricing page (www.paidmembershipspro.com/pricing/), where users can view the inclusions and select appropriate level.
Hey James, that would be your theme, which is independent of PMP. If you use a popular plugin like elementor or beaver builder, they might make your experience a little easier.
PluginTut WordPress tutorials Thanks mate. I was using the default WordPress theme. And so PMP should work with that, right? I’m a bit apprehensive about using third-party themes after Astra apparently got banned recently.
Hi, I really liked your video and got a lot of information from it. Can you please tell me or reply that how can I not restrict pages but restrict widgets or element for free. I want different kind of elements to be shown accordingly to users membership plan. Thank you Please reply quickly.
For membership loyalty I need to send a voucher for 1 free item a week. I need to send the voucher through text. Preferably twilio. When an employee gives a customer said free item they would push the redeem button on the phone so that voucher can’t be claimed more than once a week. How can I make this possible?
Hi, thanks for the tutorial. Can you please guide me, how to redirect user/subscriber to their specific page after completing the payment subscription? Currently it's redirecting them to WordPress dashboard as a user. Please let me know if you have any solution. Thanks
I have a website already using woocommerce and I want to be able to add an area to the website where I can charge new members to use a buy/sell/swap items area. Would Paid Membership Pro be a suitable plugin or is there another you could recommend that will suit my requirements. Thanks
i dont know about de pro version of the plugin but the invoice of the free plugin are just prints of the page not an invoice at all just the screen as you see it
@@EwsCarmel yes, you are right but i think it would be nice or something more pro kind to have a more suiteable invoice. it could be an add on for the plugin. dont you think?
I installed and activated and my site is not longer accessible. Soon as I deactivate the site comes back. Anyone run into this and know what needs to modified to get this working.
HELP- At login, registered users are directed to profile page in admin dashboard. This is not friendly I will like registered user be directed to the home page after log in, at least if not the membership account page
It's a long shot, but I'm having trouble with PMP and I was hoping someone could help me out. Every time a new member registers it defaults to administrator... I want it to default to subscriber. I've deactivated, reactivated, deleted and reinstalled, and every time it still defaults to administrator. PMP developers says that PMP's default is subscriber and they can't tell me why it's defaulting to subscriber.
thank you so much for the great tutorial! I'm gonna use this plug in for selling personal training memberships, I'll have 2 options: a month to month price (more expensive, that they can cancel at any time) and a cheaper price only valid for those who commit for 6 months . My question: How can I prevent people who commit for 6 months from cancel their membership before that time?
Technically you can’t, as there are most likely laws around that and at the end of the day the customer could dispute charges with their credit card company. Consider the business model and the content you provide first and foremost. Don’t build a product or membership site with income as the driving force or leading goal. Replace “how much can I make with this membership” with “how much value can I provide to my customer” The better your product is, the more value you provide, and the experience you put in place will cause a ripple effect of positive gain versus the customer that will try and sneak one by you. Building momentum with a membership site is hard, you want to serve and provide the most you possible can for your customer.
Prioritize learner results over income or your desire to reduce "churn." To prevent your clients from leaving they need to see results quickly and on the regular. What you're saying is all correct no doubt but with personal training face to face you already give the best service possible and you don't want to spend much time with people that don't commit to a program, they don't get any results and you quite frankly waste your time, for these reason in many offer a discounted price for long term commitment. If they tho pay the discounted one and then just stay for a month, you understand that's not ide
