Hey Adam!!! I just want to say THANK YOu for all these videos... I have been upskilling during Covid Lockdown here in South Africa and been working on our nonprofits (Wheelchair Basketball South Africa) websites... your videos have taught me so much already, so I just want to give you kudos!
I just wanted to THANK YOU SO MUCH for this! I'm setting up a membership now and just didn't want to commit to a platform for hundreds of dollars before I know what the membership will look like. This was perfect and on-time!

Great tutorial. I was not really interested in building a membership site and only watched the video to see how one would do it. The tools you use however seem very versatile and I certainly learned something useful today. Thanks :-)
This is great. I enjoyed every bit of the video. I just need the next step that only shows certain products (subscriptions in our case) to on those members. Cheers!
Been learning from Adam for a long while now. Every now and then, I would see comments bashing him for talking "too much". Don't ever change Adam! You talk just the right amount! There are those of us who want to understand why this or that step is needed. Unlike those who just follow along blindly, not understanding (and therefore not retaining the knowledge) what they're doing. Thank you for all your work, Adam! Love, from the Philippines :)
Yea everyone is a critic on the internet, especially TH-cam. I'll tell ya, I have learned to not let any of that negativity in or have it affect me or steal any of my joy. Thanks for the support and I think its actually a bonus my talk speed and style because people always have to option to increase the playback speed :-)

Fantastic! Thanks Adam. In regards to setting up recurring membership payments with this, is that something that can only be achieved by configuring within your Stripe account or is there another solution you can recommend free or premium? Thanks
This guy, Adam, stole my look, he stole my ability to make complicated subjects simple and understandable, and he stole my desire to make things as free as humanly possible for any newbie who wants to learn my modality. OMG, no wonder I like him so much! (ps: he probably didn't steal these traits from me, since for rare individuals these are universal truths and he doesn't know who I am.) But I like him anyway.
@@alaididnalid7660 Thank you for your comment. I think the word you are looking for is paradoxical, seemingly absurd or self-contradictory. And you are right, totally.
@@DrJohnPollard I was under the impression you were kidding actually. I feel that idea cannot be stolen as it's a very old concept that applies to many complex topics. Could you please make a video on how to handle recurring payments, expirations, cancellations and stuff like this? I love this clean and simple way for putting a membership site up but how can I automate this other stuff?
Absolutely there is a need for those things. For instance how do you allow a user to change their plan whether downgrade or upgrade? Part 2 will hopefully handle this.
Adam, Thanks so much for this, I was paying a premium price for a membership plugin that required programming skills beyond the average front-end developer. I like the way you've utilised WordPress core resources and given us an education in basic automation at the same time - well done!
Brilliant Video, Adam, please advice me. could I use fluentform plus fluentcrm as a configurator on my membership website to operate a pay per leads agency for lawyers and distribute leads for various lawyers depending on their serivces ie. Defence lawyer or Divorce lawyer. Leads distribution system. Thanks
Thank you for the video and information. will you suggest other software beside "code snippets"? I follow the video to add code and I got lock out of my site. the page show "critical error"! the website hosting support help me get in my WP. then I plug in "code snippets" and I got lock out again. maybe I need to find other software . what will you suggest? thank you again for provide the precious information !
Thanks for all your help. Its really incredible I can finally say I feel more confident in the process .. What lighting do you use by the way. The little blocks ?
Good stuff. The only thing that I didn't see (and it may be outside of the "free" scope) but a way to make the payments recurring, for a monthly or quarterly or yearly membership. Any suggestions on that?
Hey buddy, yea that one is too hard if keeping it all free. Now most people have something paid they can throw into the mix to accomplish that. Maybe a paid form plugin where they would have more flexibility. The least expensive way would be to use Woo then buy a subscription plugin on CodeCanyon for $50.
Hi Adam, Just wondering if the kadence Pro theme you show...for the account sign in/registration, is that for WordPress account or woocommcere account page? Please. Also love to know how to separate the woocomerce my account registration /sign in page please... Love to do this with a switch button with elementor... Could make a great tutorial hint hint 😉 Cheers thanks Adam always give great advice and tutorials appreciate any feedback you can give.....
Hi Adam - another very helpful video - can you comment a bit more on purchasing options which you skipped over quite quickly - I tried Fluent Forms (which I love) but they don't currently support Subscriptions - Woocommerce Subscriptions I consider to be an expensive option - do you know of any other plugins/methods that allow the creation of Subscriptions for my low-cost Membership stack ??? Many thanks
It's great to work you have done here. After creating user roles FREE member and Paid Member, The control setting is saving any other roles but the FREE and Paid member roles are not been saved whenever I update it.
Adam - can you demo the pro version? Show us what is so good about it as compared to Zapier. Right now the basic stuff that the free version can do looks pretty meh...Thanks!
Thanks a lot for this video, means a lot and all this video made in a simple form and respectful. Its equal to dozens of hours searching and testing... here is simple and in just 30m 👏👏

Hi Adam, Very useful informational video for the light-weight membership creation tools out there. I have gained something new on your every video. Please make a video on how to create a membership website to serve restricted content to registered paid members only by using woocommerce as main ingredient. Thanks
@@WPCrafter It works both ways,; it's getting hard to keep up with all of the new information coming out, as well. Everything is going faster and more efficient. Thanks again... have a nice weekend!
Hi Adam, Great video but I think you left out several things for this to work that probably would have taken another 5-10 minutes to see it through. I am a new WP user and so perhaps you assumed this audience of non-techies would know these things. Here are some gotchas that I am encountering. 1) how to link the sign-in form to a menu item 2) I am confused on how to verify the person signing in is a valid user. It seems just anything entered in (spam) the form would be approved by automator and they have access to the site?
I love this video but there are quite a few things that are missing like displaying the plans in the registration form and how to choose those plans I mean after all a user should select a plan right ? how can we test the user selection I hope I was clear thank you
Damn, that's a lot of pieces coming together. I probably wouldn't have understood it if I didn't watch all of your recent videos but it's all pretty clear. I suppose you can't select a specific role based on the value of a form field with automator for free? Basically you're fixed with a setting specific role when logging. The other roles don't apply here, correct?
It's actually just 3 things, creating the user role, configure what is accessible based on user roles, then have a way to register the user. You would have to take the same steps in setting up a pay membership plugin.
@@WPCrafter Maybe one could write a custom trigger in functions.php that checks a membership type field that somehow needs to be added to the login form. More like, yes techie, but it would be free.
Love this video along with so many of the others. One problem I'm struggling with the registration form is username, it is automatically taking the first name and making that the username, not the username out of the field. I'm sure it's a settings, but can't figure it out. Any suggestions?
Good job collecting plugins together and getting them to communicate with each other in such a way that it offers a free solution, but we have one problem here, Adam. We cannot create memberships through these methods unless they are lifetime memberships. Through this method, members only pay once, after which they remain a member. I have not been able to find a way to put the user back on a subscriber after, for example, a month if they do not renew their membership. Do you have a solution for that?
