Quinoa is pronounced "keen WAH" It plays well with others, having a very mild flavor, it can be added to anything, sweet, or savory. I am T2 diabetic, and rice skyrockets my blood sugar levels, and it remains high for about 72 hours. Quinoa makes an excellent substitute for rice. On it's ownthe flavor is very mild, but it picks up the flavoe of whatever it's served with.

Good to know how metabolism stays up there with added strength training. I saw about 4 years ago how Cher is looking in her early 70's... I've always said to myself if Cher can do it so can I !!! Some of the simple methods explained in this video are inspiring for me. Thank you !!
You are right, salmon is great but pretty expensive and wonder where it came from and what has been done to it in the processing, so I rely pretty much on flax seed, one TBS and two TBS of water substitutes well for eggs in a recipe - no matter what it is, just use the flax seed and one egg you want. Chic peas and lentils cooked and mashed with seasonings of your choice are great as a substitute for salsa. This is a great video, thanks
I'm getting finding a lot of chicken breast now for under $3 per lb here, so that is an unbelievably cost effective choice for anyone as well, I love salmon but chicken is a much better deal

Quinoa has 28% phosphorous so no thanks for CKD. 2015 book written by American Nina Teicholz titled The Big Fat Surprise: Why Butter, Meat and Cheese Belong in a Healthy Diet. Nina's book so outraged people that she was subpoenaed to appear before congress. Bottom line was, she told the truth in her book and pointed out how US dietary guidelines namely the triangle of foods chart promoted by vegans AND the American Heart Association had used false data and faked studies telling Americans beaf causes heart attacks and that eggs can cause high cholesterol and kill you. Please can you comment on why, when flax-seed oil has high saturated fat (9%), vegans, who claim saturated fat is bad for you, never mention the high percentage in plant foods like flax seed oil and nuts?
I eat whole food plant with 0 junk or oil, I hit 200g of protein and no deficiency in any vitamins, my bloodwork is optimal my doctor thought I was taking statin because how low my ldl and triglycerides is low
Remember there is 2, kind of cholesterol binding substance, one is Dense, (LDL) the other is puffy (HDL) so, now U know, and eggs eating them won't give U Dense LDL.
100%, a great new study came out showing that the fat from leaner meats did not correlate with cholesterol, but the fat from processed foods created almost all the problems and bad results
Back in the '70's when all this nonsense came out about how bad eggs were for you so I tied their fake eggs. Yuck. I went back to eggs ans I am still healthy with great cholesterol. I don't eat them daily but now and then and try to add them more now that I have diabetes.
IF you have a friend who has chickens, buy your eggs from them. IF you find someone who has chickens who free range on grass, or even better, cleans out recently harvested garden bed even better. But even grocery store bought eggs are excellent, enexpensive protein and vitamins.

Also, free-range animals are usually free from chemicals used in industrial food production.
