    What a great collection of tractors you have put together.i had several uncles that dairy farmed in upstate New York (finger lakes area) and they had several Oliver's. I worked many summers with them, and they were the first tractors I ever drove. Oliver's have a special place in my heart. I'm 74, and now reside in California. I love your videos, they bring back great memories. God bless you and you our family as you continue to work the land... Gordon

      Thank you, Gordon. I have farmed with Olivers all my life and they certainly hold a special place in my heart as well. Glad you are enjoying my videos and I will try to continue to make worthwhile videos. Hope to hear from you again.

    That’s some great tractor history. Interesting that back in the day, a small farmer could buy a new tractor or two and still financially make a go of it. Times have changed…

      I'll get right on that, but some guy in southern Indiana (I think his name is Russ or something) is scarfing all the Olivers and Whites up. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

    Nice video of your tractor collection. It's great to see people still appreciate and use the older machines.

      Well I definitely use my Olivers/whites. I enjoy farming with older tractors and equipment. Compared to today’s tractors, mine are simple, reliable, and easy to work on. Plus, unlike a lot of newer tractors in this country, mine are all paid for, as well as my equipment.

    That is so cool! Great family history. The 50 series Oliver was my favorite because that engine (mine was diesel) always started and ran so smoothly. I grew up with Oliver’s and have owned five. You could host tours in that shed…like a living farm history collection.

      My wife always jokes that when something happens to me, she is going to keep the Red Shed just as it is, and name it "The Charlie Oliver Museum". But there is a history in there and each and every piece of equipment has a story behind it. You're right, with the six cylinders, Olivers always ran smooth compared to most of the 4 or 2 cylinder competitors.

      Thanks Dave! Well, I'm very much looking forward to our ride. However, I'll probably just take the Oliver 66 again. If I took the White 2-110, the rest of the babies would be crying because I have a cab and they don't. Looking forward to seeing the Oliver 1800T (if that's the one you're bringing).

      Well, I always try to keep them in out of the weather when not in use and I do everything to keep them well-maintained mechanically. They all run pretty well. (and I have an excellent Oliver mechanic as a close friend). Thanks for watching and commenting.

    That was awesome hearing about the history of all your Oliver there and one Farmall I think it’s only one thing you can do Charlie. I think you’re gonna have to increase the size of the red shed to make room for some more Olivers

    • @pagrainfarmer
      @pagrainfarmer  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      My good friend Dan agrees with you whole-heartedly on that one. He constantly tells me I need to build a lean-to onto it. It seems no matter how big you make a shed, it's never big enough.
