It would be so much nicer to be able to import a MIDI file directly into the current track. But that wouldn't be user-hostile enough for Akai. Their designers are on their own strange planet.
This is really straightforward on my MPC4000 as a new user of the SE and One Plus sad to hear this. Great tutorials BTW

Yeah, that would have been the intuitive or logical way to go about it. Strange choice indeed. Haha.
