Saint takes the saying use your head literally and he has become one of the feared and beloved characters in destiny
Also every single purple ribbon upon saint 14 is a life he has saved it has gotten to the point that his ship in game is covered by the same. also if your on titan in the tower with his helmet on you can get a special voice line that you can "trick" zavala
Fun facts: Saint-14 used to be the Titan Vanguard until he ran off to fight the fallen and Vex. Eventually, The Speaker passed that position on to Zavala. Also, did you know that Saint-14 and Osiris are lovers some pretty spicey diary entries ;)
I loved this season. It called back to my favorite moment in Curse of Osiris - completing all the crafting missions and finding Saint-14's grave and his broken Perfect Paradox. You then fix it and that is the weapon you give him when you first go back in time. This creating the paradox that is on the lore tab of the weapon. Such a great moment. Plus, the finding of your grave was a huge community puzzle. Where everyone was sharing screenshots of icons of what they found in order to find the correct path to the grave. It took the effort of alot of people. It was nuts. It was the last community event of its kind. I stopped playing it, as much after the last expansion. But kept up with the story each season. Interested to see how they pull off the Final Shape.
I kind of wish the video that they're reacting to had the Final Route leading to the Tomb, just so that they'd be able to see it, at least.

The corridors of time...this was a community movement more than an event. There's a google doc somewhere mapping the corridors. It took so many guardians to crack this mystery and a few nights sleeping on the floor in front of their desks, gathering info sent in by players around the world! There's a video covering it somewhere and i highly recommend checking it out!
So a few details I think it would be nice to note, Bungie often releases a lot of online text before big releases to show what characters are doing to lead into the expansion or seasons. Before this season in the time between Curse of Osiris and this there were several entries focused on Osiris building the Sundial with Drifter's help and trying to save Saint-14 himself, he sent dozens of his echoes throughout time and space and lived lifetimes through them but was unable to find any opportunity to save Saint and so he gave up his search and hid the Sundial away.
Another entry focused on a sisterhood of Psion Flayers who find the Sundial and seek to use it not just to find a future where the Red War was won by the Cabal, but one where the Psions would be freed from their servitude and rule over the Cabal Empire instead. Three of the Four sisters are killed during their union in the Sundial activity with the final sister fleeing to enact a failsafe plan you'll see soon.
The final entry before the season launched focuses on Osiris back in the Infinite Forest exploring potential futures right when the Undying Mind is finally killed in the previous season, at that point all future timelines condensed to a single eventuality - All light and life in the universe is snuffed out and the only thing Osiris can find is a Pyramid hovering over the remains of the Last City. The Final Shape the Vex see for the universe, seeing this as the only possibility the Vex no longer have any grand plans and give up on all independent maneuvers against Humanity as our destruction is already foretold and to them: Inevitable.
As you can see during the end of this season Osiris has seen enough of potential futures and leaves the Infinite Forest for good to act directly with us to avoid Humanities next collapse. As closure and a bridge between this season and the next two there is one final entry from Osiris as he journeys beyond the edges of our Solar System and encounters a lone Pyramid ship destroyed beyond repair by Queen Mara, inside he finds an unknown seed. Upon his return Osiris receives a message from one of his cultist Brother Vance on the behalf of Queen Mara - Plant the Seed...
Looking forward to your reactions to Destiny content from here on out, the story really begins to pickup from right here and won't slow down or drop in quality whatsoever for another several years.
Saint 14 is the best and I'm saying this as a Hunter main. Fun fact: Osiris and Saint are actually a couple, and their lore depicting that is actually really really sweet
Saint-14...He gave the Eliksni collective PTSD and killed soo many Vex that they respected him enough to honor his death with a resting place. I'm glad we got him back and he was able to reconcile with the Eliksni House of Light
My favorite Destiny season ever, Saint is to cool. Plus all the Dawn weapons were great.

7:06 This moment was amazing, I was tearing up. From obtaining the Perfect Paradox in Curse of Osiris, to bestowing Saint with his own weapon of legend. The loop closes, and the paradox has served its purpose.

This was my second season of Destiny 2 when i started. The loot, the story, the activity for the season, of was perfect.
Dying for them to get to THAT scene in the season of plunder now 😭😭
I loved the subtle hints to Saint and Osiris’ romantic relationship throughout this season. Their relationship is well loved by most of the community, and many of us have lovingly taken them on as our Space Dads/Grandpas. They have an entire lore book about how they met and how the beginnings of their relationship developed, and it’s the absolute sweetest thing I’ve ever read in Destiny lore. Anytime I see something new for them it puts a smile on my face. Together they are the Pigeon and the Phoenix, and we wouldn’t have them any other way. 💜🧡
Saint 14 killed so many vex they ended up respecting him so when he died in the past the vex even had a burial for him. That’s how badass n strong he was to the the vex in destiny
The grave part, it was actually a community puzzle that a ridiculous amount of people helped solve it

This season was awesome for a community puzzle they made involving the corridors of time
Right off the bat, remnants of the "Red Legion" are attempting to become time travelers to write their own victory. Led by high-ranking Psions called Flayers. Thankfully the Young wolf Guardian has had experience with dealing with them back on MARS.
Going through that season as a titan wearing the helm of Saint 14 was an interesting experience. 😆

I remember everyone being hyped Saint-14 was coming. Dude is known as the "KellBreaker" after he laid waste to the House of Devils. Even killed their Kell with one big headbutt to face.

Weekly? That'll be great! I'm not gonna lie, some of these older seasons can be a drag, so, getting to the better ones quicker is a good thing. That, and with Final Shape out in June, you should be all caught up by then, fingers crossed.

Ahh, loved Arcane so it instantly caught my eye and I've always enjoyed RWBY. So when I saw it I was wondering what it was and why I dont have one.

This season was always considered not great, but it was my absolute favourite time in destiny 2. Loved this season so much. The story, the puzzles, I had more hours in this season than any other.
I think you'll love to watch Season of the witch cutscenes. Im not going to spoil it but its good.

Saint 14 - Russian
Saint is a living legend among Guardians and especially Titans. Seeing him and Shaxx shoot the shit like dads talking on the porch over a couple beers is fun. Saint has a big mechanical heart (he is an exo hence the 14.)
The one thing I always do about him is call him Gramps.
Because that what he is. Saint is our grand father.
Fun fact: Under thst helmet is an Exo. Robot with a human's memories the nimber on Exo's names is the amount of times they have actively rebooted/software wiped. The first reboot generally happens after the human mind is transferred into the Exo body. This allows the mind to be reborn in a new body without rejection. However, each reboot can results in memory loss or fragmentation.
Glad you took my suggestion to watch the season trailer. And that tomb is part of a quest traveling through the Corridors of Time. What we see is our possible end against the Darkness in the final battle.
I want you to know that a character called Savathun had manipulated and twisted his lover and was then forced to work with her but as she left and floated about her throne world he threw his shield and smashed her out of the air, dragged her into his bubble and killed her over and over and over as he made her hive Ghost Immaru revive her each time, he kept doing it until his rage quelled, let her leave but made it clear she only lives because he allows it

This season came out a little bit of time before the first COVID 19 lock down and soooo many people were playing! So many good memories were made in this season. There was a GIANT puzzle that thousands of players were working on solving together and there were so many new players, everyone was learning and teaching everyone how to do raids and dungeons, it was a great time to be a part of the community!
One of my favorite things about this season is that before this, Saint-14 was mostly a legend to the playerbase and player guardians both. We found his helmet as an exotic item back in Destiny 1, with little more than the item's lore tab to tell us about him. In Osiris's season shortly after Destiny 2's release, there was a semi-secret mission that slowly led to the player's creation of the Perfect Paradox, Saint's signature shotgun, a weapon that was never created new but only ever rebuilt from its own time-displaced wreckage (hence the name). We even found his grave, where his Lightless, helmetless body had been preserved and enshrined by the respectful Vex.
We knew him as a foundational legend of the City, a hero for all (especially player Titans) to look up to. We knew he had spoken of visions of a Guardian savior and a shining future City, things he spent his life trying to build to, and it was increasingly clear that that savior was us. The lore tabs were impeccable: They built a strong emotional connection with a character we'd never met and were never likely to meet.
And then Dawn came, and we were handed the opportunity to go back in time, live out those visions and legends, and SAVE HIM.
It was glorious. (That the seasonal weapons were really nice didn't hurt either.)
The guardian was rocking not forgotten in year 2! Must be a beast in PvP!!!!!
This was definitely one of the best seasons in terms of story and dialog! The seasons only get better as the storyline progresses. I can't wait to see your reactions to future destiny seasons!
