Tomer is so easy to read, they should know by now. When he sits very close to the camera, smiling, he's preparing something big for his very next turn (mostly a combo). If he starts dancing he has answers. You know you have it in your hands when he sits far away from the camera and starts complaining.
I think a direct consequence of decks being honed into avoiding incremental value and embracing explosive, sudden value is that politicking becomes a lot more feels-bad, because it usually turns into suddenly whirling about and going "who do I demolish and remove from the game this turn?" I feel like this is the real risk of the format's increasing power creep and streamlining: no room for incremental value or rewards for aggression. Without those types of decks, there's not really a check on four people effectively playing separate solitaire games at the same table.
Every time Crim passes through his turn it blows me away. I know MTGO is clunky and old but it doesn't happen to anyone else. How long has he been using it?
I remember seeing an episode from crims POV where he moves his mouse to the OK button, clicks it once to pass through his declare attackers step and then rage that he was spamming and lagging.

Not that it’s saying much, but yeah, Crim was absolutely being a salty asshole. Started saying Phil was kingmaking when he had an oko on board to save himself. Crim is the type of player that I would genuinely refuse to play with because this isn’t an uncommon occurrence for him to act this way.

I feel for Crim and Phil. They are clearly bummed that they couldn’t put the true form of their decks online for display. You would think a BILLION dollars would be enough to fund a whole new client for online Commander, then at least get all the cards onto your old 90’s era client. Come on WotC!
Crim is the epitome of "Only I'm allowed to do cool things". Which isn't a bad thing if everyone else has better threat assessment, but it usually ends up with Crim shouting over Phil to kill other people with less good boards.
I dont like Inga and Esika as a card, but the fact that it's a Human God makes me envision Esika screeching to a stop right in front of Inga, sticking her head out the window, and shouting "Get in, we got shit to do".
The amount of complaining that Crim did about not playing answers while also having answers and interaction all game is classic control gaslighting haha

Spoiler Kind of weird to see the anger at Crim here. Sure he was a little petulant, but Phil also toxic deluged twice for 5, leaving Tomer's commander alive. Twice! I thought that play was insane too. Sometimes if you make crazy plays like that you are punished. Love both Crim and Phil!

Crim was crying about kingmaking but he had a removal spell before Tomer drew a bunch of cards. He's the only kingmaker I see. And then he kingmade again with blowing up the oko because Phil made him salty. Well maybe Phil was salty at you for blowing up just his lands and no one else's, crim. Did you think of that? Now I'm salty. Tomer had already spared Crims life on turn 5 because he had the Return if the Wildspeaker in hand.
My only gripe with the set is the story where for multiple sets they are like "Don't let them get out they are dangerous look at the worlds and planes they have conquered already" then "Oh no they got ou---- and they're dead now"

Tomer definitely chose not to kill Crim for the content, and then Crim did not disappoint by not using his removal and getting domed by the big Yarg. Totally think Phil played it right given what he knew, and even if we aren’t thinking about optimal plays, Crim can’t complain about the guy whose lands he blew up targeting him

I mean this was definitely one of the furthest from good magic playing I've seen on this channel, but it was definitely a pretty quick stupid kitchen magic episode. Woulda been more fun if it wasn't incredibly obvious who was gonna win right away. EDIT: it's pretty clear that chain-killing yargle woulda basically killed tomers deck. a little frustrating watching it be possible but just not happen.
