Of all the commander content creators I've gotta give you guys props. In almost every other content creator there is always at least one player that I'd be happy to have replaced with someone else. Here, everyone is so genuinely great that I love watching you all play together! No super saltiness like in those other creators. Love the commander content and happy to watch it more!
They are all great but I feel we need to give an honourable mention to that random off the street who showed up previously. I think her name was Gary or Ginny or something like that? She has great chemistry with the cast (especially CGB) and you can never have enough players creating armies of cats. I do also appreciate how this group plays off each other with CGB and Blake largely cancelling each other out while Ben tries to make himself the target in the interest of doing cool things and Shae uses my favourite mechanic: turning creatures sideways for big damage.

That's the big problem with commander content I've seen. It's really about the people playing with good natural banter and real enjoyment being had by casual players. That's how I play and that's what is enjoyable about watching this channel.
Blake is so generous with deals, he didn't even use his make fun of CGB clause while it was in effect. Truly a scholar and a statesman.

CGB releasing the deal is exactly what felt right to me. If it's a win the game whole game situation, all deals are off.
I agree that was classy of him. I honestly thinks he asks for immunity too often and they agree to it way too easily. He would probably do the thing like kill Ben anyways even without immunity bcs Ben's board was scary. It affects CGB as much as the rest if not more bcs I think Ben could've killed him next turn.
I would also like to point out that technically, deals are non-binding in commander according to the rules as written...
@Joseph Lee yeah but would you really not want to play with someone who makes a deal then breaks it when it's to their advantage? Their deals would mean nothing. CGB lost the game by breaking the deal. I mean I don't even consider it breaking the deal if all parties agree the deal is off.
@@josephlck Yea but once you break a deal like that, all deals are off forever with that person. And if we/I make a deal with someone and they break it.. I will always hate swing towards that player for eternity for being such a untrustworthy scum of the world that they are.🤣🤣 especially because I would never do that to someone. How does that even feel good?
@@nomizak Yeah I definitely agree that he asks too often, if I was playing at his table I'd be a lot more selective about taking his deals.

Oh Yeah!! Big ben being the big threat from the grave. Shea is about to wip some ass, draw mad cards and counter play everyone. Blake is obviously going hardcore synergy, and CGB is all the interaction a man could want.
Just found this channel and I'm glad I did. I'm putting together a Zimone and Dina deck and I didn't realize that (once I have 8 lands) the third draw happens regardless if I had put out a land or not. Many thanks!

Great game, everyone's deck got to show their strategies and thats the fun part of playing commander. Not whether you win or lose but as Ben said if you're a problem and get solved, then your deck is doing what it's supposed to. Love the positive energy whilst playing Magic. In the minute 44:15 Shea miss the opportunity to have a greater field with scut swarm, because she could triggered her commander and "spin the will" again, may be that extra two draws could change her turn on that moment.

Regarding the deal at 19:36, Blake should have done some retribution then said, "You said 'a' turn, not your next turn," then shot CGB for next to lethal and upheld the deal on the following turn!

Around 30:40 I think there was a misplay? Kroxas etb requires targets in the graveyard first before being added on the stack right? So he couldn’t have targeted Kroxa itself after it got destroyed because it wasn’t in the graveyard when his etb went off…right? Am I missing something?
I thought so too and looked it up. The wording of the card makes it work. The ruling on Gatherer says "The last ability of Kroxa and Kunoros triggers and goes on the stack without a target. If you exile five cards from your graveyard, the second “reflexive” triggered ability will trigger. You’ll choose the target creature card for that second ability at that time." So the first untargeted trigger was on the stack when Kroxa died, allowing Kroxa to be targeted in the graveyard when the second trigger got put on the stack.
I think you're right, he has to name the targets of the etb as it resolves.
@@CraigEllsworth ohhhh I just read the card. It has a first MAY trigger, where the option to exile 5 cards is put on the stack. So if I remember correctly, Shae killed it in response to that trigger, not the second one that resolves after he made his choice to exile 5 cards.

Ben's intros are so heartwarmingly awkward.
He wouldnt lose 1 from the kroxa attacking with the vengeful ancestor trigger, the card states that the creature itself deals the damage, but since it has lifelink, the damage just gets negated as he deals one to himself and gains one back

Can Ben attack with new creatures after exiling anger? Just wondering
With Kroxa attack trigger? Yes, because it doesn't trigger and exile cards until everything is already attacking. (At which point haste no longer matters)
If it's from a Kroxa enter trigger, no, as you'd have to exile it before attackers are declared. So nothing would have haste once you're in combat.

I dont get why cgb sacrificed a treasure to sneak out goldspan to sacrifice another treasure for two mana to counterspell. Why not just sacrifice the two treasures from the get go without involving the goldspan???
You shouldn't be able to make an agreement not to be attacked then immediately play sneak attack. Everybody had to use their resources to kill Ben. CGB played everyone

@Daniel Hamilton oh yeah It's totally shady. But the other players have the option to say no. Cgb still has to make the play to stop Ben or he loses anyway, so he hustles for a better spot

Nope. It's a reflexive trigger. It doesn't target until the initial trigger resolves and you exile the cards, then it puts a new, separate trigger on the stack to reanimate target creature. So it wouldn't have been possible if Shea waited until *after* Ben exiled cards. Since she did it before that, he hadn't chosen a target yet.
Ben may not win a lot, and that's ok. They give respect to a threat!😅

To be fair - not a ton of options. The Scute came down at the same time Ben was threatening to cast Flayer and then put Sheoldred into play, which probably slams the door on the flyers being able to stop him. CGB swung about as well as he could at Shae, and then Blake was dead to either player; he decided to go after CGB which is honestly exactly as valid as going after Shae.
