My only real gripe with remake they butchered Scar's Be prepared, obviously the Nazi influence in the original probably shouldn't be captured but at least the song was amazing and my favourite Disney song to date.
I just hate remakes in general, both original Aladdin and The Lion King still hold up really well, plus the Lion King remake CGI is to real looking to show true emotion.
Actually the classic Lion King is the one I didn't like. Animals having extreme facial expressions is boring. The live action was so realistic, I loved it. I love details.
Dunno if it counts as fully forced. The Scandinavian dude was playing a Scandinavian. Forced diversity would be Shaka Zulu played by a Scandinavian or a Nigerian playing Catherine of Anjou (which actually happened).

No mention of them leaving out the massive snake battle? The movie robbed us of the experience of getting to see Aladdin face off against a giant cobra. Ya know, the finale of the entire movie?

Jasmine grabbed the lamp and lept to he rug...out of Jafar's reach, even if he turned into a giant snake...they would be flying on a carpet AWAY from him at speed. He'd have toslither through buildings and alleyways to even attempt to follow them.....OR he could send IAGO, his abover average intelligent bird, who can fly...use his magic tomake him larger andmore powerful...talons that could rip apart the carpet and the people on it as they tried to get away. A batle with the snake would make you HAVE to focus on the snake, as the fight would be close. With the bird it was a suspenseful chase scene...suspenseful enough at least...and you didn't really have otfocus on the cginess of it. It fit well enough.

I gotta be honest I fuckin hated that song! They should’ve added in this really sweet and heartfelt song from the Aladdin stage musical called Proud of Your Boy. It’s about Aladdin reminiscing about his dead parents and how he’s going live a life they would be proud of. It makes you cry.

This was honestly (pun intended) a great Honest Trailer. Live Action Aladdin can never replace or come close to how amazing the original Animated Aladdin was, but this was a really good attempt at trying to do something different with the story while still capturing the heart central to the original. It's not the best movie ever, but it is a solid and entertaining movie with some great songs and a nice actually slightly different spin on the original and I think the Honest Trailer really got that across well.

One of the things I noticed about this movie was during their city entrance song, the cartoon version made it seem like they traveled a good distance through the city but in this version it seemed more like 10 feet. Made me think that city was so big as we were lead to believe.
When it was release it was so deeply misunderstood that it crated at the box office. Apparently movie critics and audiences in 1993 couldn't recognize satire and so thought it was crap, but I love it.
