    Thank you so much Frank. I know I asked for this video along with others. We appreciate it. Om my cart I planned on wiring everything surface mounted to my frp. So that it's not buried in the walls. I'm using the wire with the metal casing. My buddy is gonna come help me.

      @@fbaltierrez putting my food trailer together to been thru 6 surgeries this year on back and right hip but i am back at it just put vent up and hood electrical is working my question is do i need a fire suppression system for my hood in FT.WORTH Tx because i see some people without it let me know if you get a chance.

      @@realamericanmuscle7705 hey, it has been my experience that as long as you are not running any gas you can use fire extinguishers but you should consult your local HD they will have the standard for you.
      My HD says if no fire is present then an extinguisher would be sufficient, but if I run equipment that produces flames to heat then an ANSUL is needed. I know you were asking Frank but I hope this helps you out I have personally built 2 trailers from the frame up.

    I think all the runs must be in a conduit, for the outlets circuit you must use 12/2 at least for the first 2 and follow with 14/2 for the rest, in case if you have to pass inspection in the future

      They don't check trailers like they do a brick and mortar in most counties yours could be different.

      Yes it can definitely. They don't require us to submit that at our HD or city level so never had the need to make one yet.

    What are the best ceiling lights to use for both 12V and 110W?

      I would not use 12v. Personally only 120v

    Frank can I pay you for a drawn out diagram? I have 3 outlets that have to each be dedicated to 2 food warmers and one electric griddle. The only other semi high wattage item would be my fridge. Would the breaker you recommend cover all this? Thanks so much you have taught me so much

    Technically 14 awg can be use for power outlet, is the national electrical code covers electrical istallations for food truck?

      That is correct 14 1t amps 12 awg 20 amps can be used for outlets.

      If I had to do it for someone I would probably charge possibly a minimum of 1,000 but haven't done it for anyone besides myself

    Frank question.. there is a gap between plywood sheet.. did you got the trailer built in with plywood or you put them on?

      Gap is factory built. Kind of like your house the exterior wall and interior wall have a gap

      Yes you can run more than one breaker.

    Hi Frank, I pretty much have the same trailer as you're working in here. Quick question, on the can lights, is there a reason why you went down and back up and not just straight acoss from one can to the other?

      You can't go straight across because the plywood would smash the Romex and didn't want to drill the studs

    Hi Frank, is it possible to just buy a panel board with more switches and just run individual 14-2 cables to each outlet or switches separately?

      I wouldn't that's too much wire and extra materials which means more $$$$$$. 1 circuit in the panel for 4 lights for example is almost no power consumption

      It's all one piece. It's same as exterior except without the door thing

    I though you need a 12/2 for a 20 amp circuit breaker but are you using 15 amps or 20?

      I only use 15 amp circuits. 2 of them. 14 gauge wire

    so you have your fridge and exhaust on one breaker and the warmer on the other, which one do you have the lights and outlets on?

      The lights and outlets are with the fridge and exhaust. Works perfectly with power distribution 👍

    Still trying to figure something out bud the side of the trailer with the window im trying to figure out witch wires were ran with 14/3 i ran my trailer the same way but all on that side with 14/2 ima going to have outside lights too so just trying to make sure if I need to rerun some wires with 14/3 and if so witch ones lol?       Technically you don't need 14/3 you can run both outside lights together that's what I'll probably do next time.

    Hey man just wondering in this video can you just run the can lights wire straight down the ceiling middle instead of making U's.

      You can but where are you going to send that cable to? You still have to run to 1 central box to connect them all

    Why did you use 14/2 and not 12/2?

      I personally don't need the extra amps on those circuits I only use a 30 amp generator. But if you needed more juice then yes use 12 gauge

    Hi. After the electrical have been ran, do i have to have inspection or can i cover with aluminum siding then have inspection done? What steps do i take to have an inspector for the city come out to inspect/sign off? Do i contact the city before i start building my truck? Thanks bro

    Thank you for all your videos. I have a question my county is requiring a main disconnect. So I bought a 100 amp main disconnect which is next to the breaker box. The generator goes to the main disconnect box first and then run the power to the breaker box but I’m not sure how to wire the ground and neutral. Should I keep them separate in the main disconnect and then bond them in the breaker box or bond them in the first box and bond them again in the second box. I’m a little confused. Thanks in advance

      You could of also just bought a breaker panel with a main disconnect and have it all in one enclosure.

      It's just a daisy chain from one light to the next and then to the switch 👍

    What if you have a box truck and you have a light already in there what would you connect that too.

      No because those are typically 12 volt lights won't work with the generator if you are using 120 V power

    Question about hood installation. Does the wall behind the hood need to be fire rated?

      Not that I am aware of. The steel on these hoods are very very thick

    Frank do you have a link for the fan you have mounted to your roof buddy? Had a hard time finding those for some reason. Also what ac do you recommend to use for roof top on these food carts

      I don't use a fan on the roof the only fan I have is the exhaust fan that comes with the hood

    Random question alert: what are the axles rated for in the trailers that you've built? I've heard of folks upgrading to heavier duty axles. Just wondering if the standard 7000 LB are good enough for most of us (I understand it would depend on what equipment you haul).

      All the 3 trailers I have bought have been the regular 7000 LB weight GVWR. no issues I would not buy a single axle that's my suggestion

    Hey frank, I need to power a 30 amp 120 fryer. Would that take dedicated circuit? Different wire and receptacle?

      If it's a 30 amp for that piece of equipment then yes it needs its own circuit. 10 gauge wire
