aloha Brady! well, you know i enjoyed this haul!!!!!! love that little apple dress with the gingham top!! the outfit your older daughter loves is great! reminds me of Matilda Jane. oh, dear girl, what a difference in your daughter's kinder supplies and mine 70 yrs. ago!!!!! we also had to have Ticonderoga pencils, but the school supplied at least 90% of our needs.

I did all of my daughter's 1st grade shopping for the standard supply list. I'm waiting to hear next week who her teacher is to see if anything else is required. We did get clothes and shoes already as well. While I had lunch stuff I couldn't help myself in ordering some new containers to see what works best. I had a Yumbox and the Bentgo Kids lunch containers but I ordered something from Sistema and my daughter had a hard time with putting the lid on the cup in it. So then I ordered the new Bentgo Pop. I'm still waiting on that. Her lunch is earlier this year so I feel she may eat more than last year. I know I over prepare!

I love here in nb Canada parents are encourage to pay the school between $30 to $40 for the school to do back to school supply shopping. That is for the whole year Parents don’t buy anymore supplies the year and all children have the same supplies. All the parents supply extra is lunch box book bag indoor shoes and pencil case. This is for elementary age
Oh wow, I am in Ontario and we have to pay and shop for all of the school supplies. Of course, we also have Dougie Fraud in office, so that could be the difference!
Some schools in the US do something similar. I like going and picking out things myself though.

I saw a teacher roll up the glue stick to show that there really isn’t a lot of glue per stick and that’s why they ask for so many
Yeah those glue sticks don’t last long, for sure!
And we all know kids use more than they really need.
I read schools don’t want kids to use pen anymore?
This is so strange to me that you have to buy school supplies. In our grade schools in Vermont all supplies are paid for by taxes. Also free breakfast and lunch for all in all grades.
