You teach Geography with so much mastery and concept clarity.May your tribe increase sir.You are a great help to all aspirants.I only came here when I found concepts related to climate hard to interpret and had no intention to simply mug up stuff, accidently stumbled upon this site(counting my blessings). You teach with a pleasant audibly appealing voice, break down complex theories into simple ideas with the help of picturesque illustrations,visuals(3D even),diagrams and blow by blow details that make understanding it so easy. This helps in developing interest in the subject which must be the primary motive of any teacher. My sincere respect to you, sir.
have been struggling to find one video which actually explains all the interconnected phenomena and finally found it. idk about others but i clearly was smiling from ear to ear as i watched and understood this video. tq to the team
It is too good,i have not learn or see such explanation anywhere els,and as you have related this concept with other phenomena,is really awesome.keep it sir.
U deserve subscribe sir after sengupta I seen a good tutor for geography in you tube.im prepared for a year for upsc.ur good at it way I don't compare u but ur good with ur style.
The is the best lecture on 'Fectors effects Indian Monsoon'. I have read 3 books and watched may videos to stablish connection between El-Nino, Southern oscillation & Walker Circulation. The video made everything clear for me. Thanks Brother!💐💐❤️ By the way, What means PMF' Sir?
In the earlier part of your video, you said that Indonesia and Austrailia will under influence of warm water during non elnino years, however, later 16:08 you are showing during elnino the warm water is again on Indonesia and Austrailia, Sir, how is it possible??????
Upwelling leads to formation of fishing grounds, but wouldn't cold water current(Humboldt / Peruvian current) at west coast of South America lead to formation of deserts too?
At 15.45, in the diagram relating to Indian Ocean Dipole, you told that Positive Dipole mode will bring good monsoon. But this mode is similar to El Nino phenomenon, where cold currents are present in Bay of Bengal, and warm currents near Madagascar, resulting in weakening of high pressure cell there. El Nino seriously affects the monsoon in India. Why this contradiction?
+saksham khunteta High pressure near Madagascar is important. But warm water in Arabian Sea [Positive IOD] is more important [More evaporation = more moisture in monsoon winds]. It depends on which one has more effect. Here warm water is more influential than the high pressure at Madagascar.
Walker cell is one big cell mostly along the Equator. It has many branches [Pacific Ocean branch, India ocean branch etc.]. Pacific ocean branch is caused due to temperature difference that exists between Eastern and Western Pacific. When there is SST [Sea surface temperature anomaly-reversal in sea surface temperature] changes occur globally [Pacific ocean is so huge]. So the position and intensity depends on temperature difference betwee Eastern and Western Pacific Ocean. All other braches are infuenced by the changes in Pacific ocean. SST is attributed to climate change which is quite normal. Frequency of SST has increased recently due to human induced climate change.

Regarding Indian ocean dipole. like in ENSO the warmer water collected in western pacific due to easterly winds controls the process. IS there any phenomenon which causes cold and warmer phase of water in arabian and BOB ...BTW ur work is recomendable
does indian dipole strengthen Mascarrene high (don't mind the spelling please). if yes, then what is the reason behind it ? does low pressure at darwin support it ?
+manu singh Low pressure at Darwin strengthens High Pressure at Eastern Madagascar [Mascarene high] [When more air ascends at Darwin, more air descends at Eastern Madagascar] IOD is Indian Ocean counterpart of ENSO [El Nino Southern Oscillation]. IOD occurs close to equator but Mascarene High occurs near the Tropics [Tropic of Cancer, Capricon][Sub Tropical High Pressure Belt]. So there is some correlation which is not well pronounced. Usually Positive IOD weakens Mascarene high. But the impact due to this is very low. Positive IOD = Good monsoon even though Mascarene high is slightly weaker. Weaker Mascarene high is offset by the very warm waters in the Arabian Sea.
hi sir one doubt ....while ELnino your telling that disturbances at bay of bengal becomes weaker so ther would be no cyclone formation at BOB....bt in recent news we all know the chennai flood ...in that they told chennai floods are because of ELnino causes cyclone formation at BOB....please clarify my doubt sir
+sanjeev kumar What I said is general. It might not be true all the time. 1997 and 2015 are both strong El Nino years. Both years saw significant North-East monsoons. Likewise, there were other El nino years when the North-East monsoons were deficient. So some El nino years are an exception. Climate change, El nino are all very complicated and depend on numerous factors. Sometimes the condition is totally different. Chennai Floods are mainly due to some significant changes in upper air circulation which is quite unusual.
Sir, you are in so hurry to finish it. Please be calm and go slow. Let the students atleast time to think and listen it properly. Apart from these, it's a good idea. Thanks!
Can you please explain Ekman Transport in relation with El nino. What and how things happen at Peruvian Coast? Trade winds move from East to West, so due the Ekman transport. water beneath should move 90 degrees to the direction of the wind. But when we see the El Nino explanation, it says, Trade wind leads to piling up of warm water in Northern Australia and UPWELLING takes place at Peruvian Coast. I am confused, where is Ekman Transport when trade winds are moving the ocean current in their direction only leading to accumulation of hot water in N Australia. Please help.
There is a front system in North India but it is very week. The temperature contrast between the air massed in tropics is quite low. Hence the front system is not well pronounced.

Awsome explaination .....i have learn alot from this video
It is very simple but clarifying very difficult concepts. Good job.
Concept clear ho gya .....sir
Thank you please make another videos on geography
Awesome class
Got the concepts crystal clear
Indian Ocean Dipole at 15:39
Comparasion:(El Nino, La Nina, El Nino and respective modokis) at 21:49
U deserve subscribe sir after sengupta I seen a good tutor for geography in you tube.im prepared for a year for upsc.ur good at it way I don't compare u but ur good with ur style.
Very nice, please keep going many of us need your support
I owe you a huge treat Mr. Manju.
Extremely good video.

You cleared the concepts very simply
Dear sir don't stop your work
23 minutes and 36 seconds. Worth Watching.
very well explained with lots of diagrams. good work.
In la nina modoki rainfall occurs in both regions i.e south america n west Pacific???
Sir I have watched your videos and they are really lucid to understand.. please make a series on environment too..
Awesome explanation sir.You are doing a great job.Keep it up sir.
+Rohit Tiwari Thanks man
Simply say excellent explanation

Thanks Brother!💐💐❤️
By the way, What means PMF' Sir?
Poor man’s friend
excellent sir....wonderfully explained
wow, epic, keep it up!! you really are poor man's friend.
Awesome explaination. Thanks for enlightening sir
Such a pity. No subtitles.
Thank you so much sir. I have clear all these concepts now..

Awesome
Good explanation
Isn't it downwelling on the eastern side in the normal walker cycle? I think you made a small error there
Cleared all the doubts
thank u sir
excellent explanation. . . great work
thank u sir...plzz make more videos
Thank you.
Thanks vsir
Good
best ever 🤗
wonderful video thanks a lot!!

Thanks for your efforts
superb..
Awesome awesome awesome..thanku
This was so helpful. Thank you.
Thankyou Master!
superb
woww..
awesome explanation
Upwelling leads to formation of fishing grounds, but wouldn't cold water current(Humboldt / Peruvian current) at west coast of South America lead to formation of deserts too?
Thats why the Atacama Desert is off the Peruvian Coast.
Dear PMF this video is just Awesome.. best among what is available. Thanks a ton. Can you tell us what causes El nino?
When the trade wind's force is low it causes El Nino

PMF IAS UPSC CSE Thank you sir..all my doubts are well cleared :)
you are so hurry sir, but not the case thanks for that
thank you !
awesome
is el nino only changes flow pattern of pacific only
great job..😉
Why Walker Cell is found only in the ITCZ ? There are similar temperature gradients in temperate regions also?
Jithin Sarma because of dolldrums
Position of walker cell is very confusing in every case ...especially near african side
thanks

+Annu Panwar
Indian Branch of Walker Cell.
+PMF IAS UPSC CSE o yes which produces high on arabian sea and causes negative dipole but how the positive dipole takes place?
It all has to do with reversal of phases of Wlaker Cell.
wonderful ..! thank you
+Raghava Chary You're welcome

Ekman Transport comes into action only when there is Coriolis force. But near the equator Coriolis force is negligible.

Sir please can you explain why there is no front system in tropics? (Like in India)
Thanks.

you know stuff but fail to explain it, hence not a good teacher................disliked
Such a disgusting explanation
