Please can you tell me, I have a Sony RX100 mk1 and I am going to buy a Sony RX100 mk5a and want the canon colours via EOSHD, is that a programme you download to my laptop or is it done on my camera's settings.
Really like the cinematic look more of the Slog2. I’m extremely new to video using my A7iii and honestly till I find how to properly do Slog2 this might be a good option. I agree with the saturation. I would add a little film effect in Adobe in PP.
Eric Petor hell yeah bro or just dial the saturation down in he picture profile settings. I have an slog2 video if you’ve yet to see it where I go over how to expose and edit!
1st footage: What's up with the halo thing in the out-of-focus flower? Looking like the EOSHD profile and also some graded cine4 are exacerbating the halo effect.
Hey bro I notice the halo too, It had to do with the highlight rolloff with the contrast between the blue sky and the orange from the flowers. I've tweaked my EOSHD settings since and have yet to notice any, If I find that I continue to get it I'll let you know.
can you give some information on YOUR specific tweaks to the standard EOS HD 4.0 profile? I have it but i find it a little too saturated, would be interested to know the specific changes you have made. thanks
Great video! However, I was looking forward to hear your opinions on the V4's HLG3 settings since it's supposed to capture the most dynamic range compared with any other non-S-log PPs. Even Sony's official promotional videos showed quite a bit of HLG3 footages. But I haven't had any luck dealing with HLG3 footages yet. It's just very difficult to color-correct HLG3 footages in PP, FCPX, and Davinci Resolve. S-Log 2 is excellent, and that's what I have been shooting with on the A7iii until I figure the HLG3 out. Hopefully you'll try the HLG settings in this V4 out and let me know how it compares. Thanks.
Five Continents sorry bro, I know a lot of people are saying how HGL3 is looking really good and just in post you have to convert it to rec709. I’ve had nothing but success with slog2 to be honest and I’m the type that’s like if it isn’t broken don’t fix it. Maybe this week I’ll do an update to the video and show some HGL3 samples with the EOSHD. I just have to watch some more videos on it. With Andy’s instructions for the EOSHD HGL settings he says to overexpose by 1.5 stops when I did so my screen looked so blown out way worst than slog2 I could barely see what i was filming 😅🤦🏻♂️
I'd love to see your update on this topic. I heard similar advices on exposing HLG3 close to +2.0 stops as well, but that just makes it so much harder in post. When I and my teammate exposed in HLG3 with the meter on A7iii at M.M 0.0, then the footages play back with perfect exposure & colors in Quicktime & WMP, on both Mac & PC. But they don’t look the same once imported to FCPX, PP CC 2018, and Davinci Resolve. I have tried various LUTs but none worked so far. The one works well for me is by using Ben Turley's LUTCalc to generate conversion LUTs from Rec2100 HLG to Rec709, then tweak a little bit with Lumetri & curve, or Color Wheels in FCPX. Let me know if V4’s HLG settings works great out of camera for you and also looks great once imported into your video editing software. Thanks.
Hey Jason, does the Alter RFS | Rapid Filter System belongs to you? I was checking it out on kickstart and I finde very interesting, however, on the first video you made it, I can pass through 1:39, it gets stack every time I try it. It runs smooth till there, then it gets stack. My only option is to go way ahead, it runs again, but there's a portion that it just not work for me, so I can't see the whole video.
Do you use cine4 for low light ? I can’t seem to find which is the best for me as a newbie...I have used slog2 didn’t do so good now I’m using cine4 and is easier to grade but I wonder if I’m missing out with the bad experience I had with slog2 ...with cine4 I always properly exposed but what your opinion? I have Sony a7r3
Great video bro ! Definitely if don’t want to color grade footage, and want those canon colors it’s a great option , I use EOS HD and love it ! If you want to Color grade to specific look your footage use slog2 or cine4 . Thanks for the video 👍🏼
GeorgeX hey bro appreciate your feedback. Are you using the EOSHD v4? And if so have you made any adjustments? I think there’s too much contrast and saturation I’m going to try and tweak them and come up with some changes
I almost wrote who is henbus and you stopped the video to explain...hahahaha Most people look for the Canon skin tones so it would be great to see it with people in the examples. I usually only shoot slog and already tried the V3 and don’t feel like paying an extra 30.00 for a profile that many post already in other forums. Just my opinion, it seems with the newer v4 they just lowered the magenta and yellow as the A7iii color is a little less green now. But that’s my guess. If you can it is usually better to shoot log or a cine4 type atleast if your planning on doing color grading.
ekphotography totally agree, I’m curious to see he log profile tbh. I want to try other log pp settings that people have made but so far Henbu’s are my favorites the footage I got in Vegas this past weekend for the promo video came out sick!
Great video. When comparing my a7r3 video vs my old 5d mark 4 those were the key differences were that canon colors were extremely exaggerated out of camera, very saturated, lots of lost detail in the shadows, extremely contrast. To some degree eoshd mimics that look very well. That's the wonderful thing about sony, you have the freedom to customize the camera in so many ways including how it records. Great video man
Thank you bro! It’s crazy how much you can play with the profile settings. I’m still trying to see what adjustments to slog2 I enjoy the most for my high dynamic scenes.
It totally is!!! Dropping a new slog2 video this week on grading hope to hear your feedback, I'm seriously loving it when used for the right situations!

Samuel Amezcua I wish i could agree. The only thing models would be useful for would be to identify skin tones. However skin tones are majorly effected by your white balance over anything.
Nandos Dan Cine4 has been my go to lately. I love slog2 but it’s just not practical for client work with its grading time. Appreciate the feedback brother!
Canon used to have the best colour science back to 4 years ago at that price range .Now is way out of the leagues.Sony Panasonic Blackmagic any one is better than Canon right now. What a downgrade to simulate Canon
Please can you tell me, I have a Sony RX100 mk1 and I am going to buy a Sony RX100 mk5a and want the canon colours via EOSHD, is that a programme you download to my laptop or is it done on my camera's settings.
Does EOSHD pro colour 5 work for still photography?
How to instal to sony@7iii?
Did you download a custom LUT, or how did you get your "LUT added and graded SLOG2" settings?? Looks amazing > EOSHD V4

Blunt Producer hey brother I dropped the saturation down to +12 and if I need anymore I add it in post!
can i know jason, where is this app installing ,is it installing to camera
What variable ND filter do you use?

please . make a video about how to install it
Is this one apply to photo?
What song is this intro??
are these for still photography ? or tell us other settings for photography pls :)
Someone should create SONY HD for canon camera because i really miss sony color since moving to canon.
Really? I've never heard that before haha good to know!
Scotty Zepplin said no one, ever lol.
Are you using your 55mm for your videos? The ones of you in your studio? Looks a little wider than the 55
ekphotography hey bro yup using my 55 but for the cut scene that was on my 16-35 gmaster bro!

Dude thats so strange I have zero issues on my playback!!! Yes I helped them with their kickstarter video, I love the product!

Ferdamus On The Beatz look up “make.art.now” on TH-cam. He has a very comprehensive video about low light profile settings for the a7iii
Victor Talley thanks bro I actually did that and set up as my pp3. The image has been really good!! Thanks for the info
Ferdamus On The Beatz niiicceee!! I’m glad it helped man
Can this be used on stills?
dkaplan74 it’s just for video only, you want to shoot stills I. Raw anyway if you plan on editing!!!
Great video bro ! Definitely if don’t want to color grade footage, and want those canon colors it’s a great option , I use EOS HD and love it ! If you want to
Color grade to specific look your footage use slog2 or cine4 . Thanks for the video 👍🏼

You can still color grade the PP1 from EOSHD Pro Color v4 with Rec709 LUTs. :)
Crusaders of Truth you can to a certain degree brother!
Thanks!! I ordered v4 and like it... not sure when to use the HDR version?
Awesome vid. Thanks for the comparison
HBFilms I’m glad you liked it bro! What picture profile are you currently using?
I'm Jason Anthony mainly Slog2 at the moment
Amazing video and tips...

Amazing video yet again buddy !!!
Appreciate it brother!
good video bro! Waiting to see some hlg3 examples! :)
Thank you

thanks man
Thanks with the Pro Color V4 can this be graded like a Cine4 profile or is it meant to be straight out of the camera colors with no post work needed?
Fucks sake ... and I just spent money buying it lol. Thanks anyway I guess.
Slog 2 😍😍
Thank you 🙏🏻
SLOG3 and SLOG2 ftw
Fuji has the best colours, not Canon. That being said, Sony will have the best colours if paired with a zeiss lens. Especially on cool environments
Canon had the best color science? 😭😭😭
Bro you need to use models for these tests. That’s the only way to identify true color.
Samuel Amezcua I wish i could agree. The only thing models would be useful for would be to identify skin tones. However skin tones are majorly effected by your white balance over anything.
@@ImJasonAnthony Its a lot more complex than that...
I think i like Cine 4 the best.
Nandos Dan Cine4 has been my go to lately. I love slog2 but it’s just not practical for client work with its grading time. Appreciate the feedback brother!
@@ImJasonAnthony I'm probably using SLOG incorrectly but I find it horrible to grade. I came from using magic lantern DNG on my 5D.
Canon used to have the best colour science back to 4 years ago at that price range .Now is way out of the leagues.Sony Panasonic Blackmagic any one is better than Canon right now. What a downgrade to simulate Canon
Hey bro everyone has their opinion. I personally love canon and most people do. I wouldn't say eoshd is a downgrade by any means.
HGL? Lol what's HGL?
HLG* it's a picture profile. Hybrid Log Gamma.
Use canon
Nah. Fuji has the best color science, not Canon. Well kinda. Landscapes is Fuji, Portraits is Canon.
When it comes to video? I don't know about that to be honest. Nothing beats canon colors for video in my opinion.
Can this profile be applied to sony a7s?
