I don't know which sounds worse, the sound of a Fujifilm GFX50 medium format camera clattering down a rocky slope or Brent's wailing as it bounces off the jagged rocks.
    He's not a happy camper.
On the plus side we manage to capture a great looking panorama for our Panoholics Anonymous photography course and I think the battle scars on his camera look kinda RAD!
I'm back in the Canadian Rockies having just completed my Canadian Rockies photography workshop. I meet up with Brent Henderson and we head deep into the mountains where Brent drops a huge revelation regarding his marital status.
I'm slightly worried about his mental state after viewing his wedding photo. His Photoshopping skills have me equally worried.
The photography topic of discussion today is 'cheater panos' and this hike into the mountains gives us the perfect opportunity to demonstrate the results. It's also a banter and bloopers extravaganza with lots of camera talk and shenanigans.
We share a 'joy free' beverage at our camp spot before rising in the dark under a full moon to hopefully shoot sunrise.
What kind of wildlife interrupts our morning scheming and is Brent really smelling a bear or is it something far, far more beastly?
There's really only one way to find out.

    Thanks for watching

I was one of those 2024 Canadian Rockies workshop members. I can’t say enough about how much fun it was. Gavin and Amanda are exactly what you see on these videos. They are great companions and hosts. Brent joined us as well (unfortunately Karen couldn’t make it). Gavin knows the area well and kept us busy taking photos. He spent his time ensuring we were getting what we wanted from our photography - giving us pointers and taking us to wonderful photographic points of interest. The entertainment and new found photography skills was worth every minute of time and money. Gavin, Amanda and Brent - thank you!

I use a single pole Gavin known as ‘The Stick’ and it goes everywhere with me, your Iceland footage was phenomenal and inspired me to get a sweet handheld shot off a narrow ledge in an ice covered gorge, a little sketchy although I’ve gleaned much confidence from your amazing channel… BTW the waterfalls of Ricketts Glen are beginning to freeze nicely with many otherworldly ice features taking form ❤🥶

I understand you can use the juniper berries that are coated in green as proper wilderness sour dough starter... the green coating is a natural bacteria that coats the berries during their seasonal growth. Have not tried it yet, but you can check it out on TH-cam to verify the recipe... It is something to try 😌🙏

LOL. I was outside this morning, looked up, and thought, why does it seem like there's never any clouds in the sky, in the morning hours, when there's a full moon; I've noticed this for the last 3 full moons. I came in the house and went straight for my computer. I woke up my computer and TH-cam was still up from last night, and this video was listed, so like a true ADHD person, I completely forgot why I was on the computer and watch this video instead. As I'm watching the video, you reminded me why I came on the computer in the first place. SMH
This is what I got from Google, "The idea that there are "no clouds" in the sky during a full moon is a misconception; the moon itself does not directly affect cloud formation, and the presence or absence of clouds on a given night is primarily determined by weather patterns, not the lunar phase - meaning you can see clouds during a full moon just as you can on any other night.".

If I can catch it just right and no one is watching, I’m going to throw into an oil well bore and let the crew trip drill pipe in on top of it. those lens hoods are another reason to go back to the GFX. one may have money, but money cant buy the patience required to install the hasselblad lens hood

If you want clouds on a full moon, (or whenever the Northern lights threaten,) you should visit Armstrong B.C.. As a bonus we've got enough fog to make an Englishman homesick.

I know that feeling as I lost 2 Canon EOS 1D MkIIs, Sigma 14, Sigma 120-300 f2.8 and a couple other items falling down a mountain into a river.😢
