nobody talks about the speakers: 2 towers next to the stage, 1 towers on each side, and 2 towers in your back. WE were INSIDE the music 🥰 i am 56 and i have seen them live 7 times....nothing beats PF.
I was excited about going to this concert, but none of my friends were interested, so I went by myself and had a fantastic time. After the concert, I decided it was time to find some better friends.
Hi! I would like to share my personal experience with you. I was present on that particular day, even though I was quite young. After the concert, we strolled in silence, reflecting on the phenomenal performance, looking at the stage sometimes, just to remember this moment forever before we left for good. I also recall the scent of joints, particularly near the stage (yes, it was prohibited, but… it’s Pink Floyd, isn’t it? Some fans couldn’t help themselves!). Now, whenever I listen to this guitar solo, I’m reminded of how the sound enveloped us: it was awe-inspiring, immense, massive, imposing, powerful, yet impeccably clear! It was incredibly striking and overwhelming. It felt as if the grand, gigantic, potent, and majestic Pink Floyd machine was directly linked to our souls! And I can assure you, we were all resonating. Most of the time, during a concert, people are engaged in conversations, laughter, and enjoying themselves; but during this concert, everyone was utterly captivated. There were no disruptive or bothersome individuals. Everyone was simply "in sync". It was as if we were in an alternate universe where everything was utterly distinct. It was an extraordinary, surreal, and unique experience, almost "magical", so to speak. And the crowd was massive, with around 16,300 attendees. I’ve held onto the tickets, by the way, hehe - And to this day, I take pride in declaring, _"I WAS THERE, WITH PINK FLOYD THAT DAY!"_
The big disco ball is highly symbolic. First of all, it wasn't seen until the lights spotted it. It was simply not there. It was hidden in a box in the ceilling. So when it got lit, you can understand why the audience went wild. When it opens up and show the shining diamond that's inside, a direct reference to Shine On Your Crazy Diamond (which refer to Syd Barrett), the fans understands!
Yes mate. The best gig I've ever been to, before & since! What a journey on a double-decker bus from Glasgow-London & return... I've never been on a bus since LOL. But we all had a good smoke haha. Great memories never to be repeated actually!
Totally agree. I saw this tour in DC, and it was absolutely mind-blowing. Edit: forgot to mention that the sound quality in the stadium was amazing. Crystal clear surround sound
I once played this song to a girlfriend that I had. And after listening to it, she turned to me and said, "You actually like that song?" That is when I slowed down the car. Came to a stop. Opened my door. Walked over to her side. Kindly opened her door. And kindly said, "Peace Out Girl!"
Guys…..you just witnessed, in my opinion, the greatest live guitar solo of all time. There are many many great solos out there, jazz, blues, rock, etc…..but that hits your soul. The emotion and musical magic of that solo, has no equal. YOU MUST DO MORE FROM THIS ALBUM. Try Sorrow next.👍😍🇨🇦
You're not alone, I saw this tour and was blown away by the light show, but never heard Gilmour make that axe cry like this before, and I saw The Wall too in 1980.
I was in the hospital and was having a heart attack. The Rapid Response team tried glycercine spray and just about had the paddles ready when they gave me a doze of morphine intraveonously. and that cease the cardiac issue and knocked and knocked me out. Apparently as I was waking up, I was singing "Comfortably Numb".
I was there. 1994 in San Antonio at The Alamodome with 47,000 fans. Had 18th row seats on the floor and it was an experience of a lifetime!! Had also previously seen them in 1987 in Austin on the Momentary Lapse of Reason tour.
My favorite part is what every reviewer does after watching this for the first time or even after: they just sit there and stare for a minute, which is the exact same thing I do when watching. You didn't just witness a song being played, you went through an experience that leaves you transfixed for a moment. One thumb half way down for the 4th of July comment, as it was a little tasteless and better left unsaid, but two thumbs up for everything else you guys do on all the reviews I have watched. Enjoyed your faces watching him shred that solo.
The whole concert is on this level, literally every song is a masterpiece. Sorrow, High Hopes, Run Like Hell, Money,... heck, do the whole concert, you won't regret it.
Probably the most played video on TH-cam great song and spectacle. For me though it's still year of the cat as the best reaction by you guys lost count of the times I've viewed it.
I know I am seeing this 6 months after posting but I have NEVER seen a post including my 2 favorite things of all time in one video... Pink Floyd and the University of Kentucky. Just a fun fact... I saw the Pink Floyd Pulse tour in New Orleans in the Superdome in 1994. Fast-forward to 2012 , I was also at the Superdome when UK took their eighth title. This is my first time seeing you guys and it's a definite subscription. Go Big Blue (and Pink!!!!)
I live 15 mins away to where this concert was held and gutted that I missed it all,im really surprised you haven't reacted to sorrow from the same concert, guitar solo is amazing once again.
I saw that concert in Montpellier in France and that was the best concert I had ever seen. Everything was awesome : the lights, the crazy things happening for each song, but the most important, the sound. They had found the best sound engeneers ever. The concert was outside in Montpellier, in campaign, a huge field. As there was no first part, they had to wait for dark night to begin, in July. While we were waiting, sat on the grass, we could hear sounds of campaign, bees, birds, rivers, village bells... That evening was magical ! Thanks a lot for this gift... I follow you for a moment, I love your reactions, you're so nice... I was waiting for this reaction and you projected to do it for Christmas, as a gift, that's one for me because, once again, and especially that one, you were amazing. Yes, this solo is crazy, David Gilmour is a story teller with his guitar, not only a performer. I saw another video of this concert song but in another place, the solo is not the same, except at the beginning for the studio version covered. Thanks again, guys, for this beautiful and touching moment. Love from France 🇫🇷😘💖.
Isabelle, an old Grey here, memories are wonderful, mid 70s, had a few friends from the States staying with us in London, Beautiful sunny Saturday morning, eventually got ourselves together and made our way to Wembley stadium.....Nils Lofgren...AC/DC....The Who...and as the sun was setting the Floyd came on...Peace.
Same experience here, I saw this tour in Mexico City, open arena (same stadium that is now part of the F1 track) and about 80,000 people in extasis and communion. The sound was a marvel as all the rest of the performance. best concert ever, bar none.
Saw them in Tampa on this tour. For the time it was and still is the best sound I've ever heard for a live show. Surround sound, at that time, was amazing in Tampa, in a football stadium.
I had the chance to see Pink Floyd live in 1994 in Montreal, during "The Division Bell Tour", better known as "Pulse Concert". I had purchased tickets for the May 23 show and my employer was raffling tickets as the main sponsor of this tour in Canada. I won a pair of tickets for the May 24 show, which allowed me to see this show twice, which I have never regretted.
That was an eargasm and an eyegasm! Enjoyed your reaction guys. Ryan was almost speechless, lol. Pink Floyd in concert is an immersive experience. It is remarkable how good David Gilmour is. WOW!
It was amazing , I was there in 1994 Earls Court in London , a great concert arena but sadly the Earls Court arena is now gone, made way for blocks of flats !! But what a night to remember.
I couldn't afford to go to the Earl's Court Pulse concert, so I stood in awe in Battersea Park and watched the laser show light up the Misty northern sky. It was close enough to hear the music drifting over to me on the South side of the River Thames. It was a special moment in the history of music and I was overjoyed when I got myself a copy of the live album later.
To experience that concert....my god that was incredible... I saw them in Dortmond, West Germany (then)...this show though...first time I saw it was on PBS I swear...I was flipping through channels and came across the tail end of Comfortably Numb....one usually does not associate Pink Floyd with Public Broadcasting....LOL ....
I got an A+ in college from this song. I was in child development class and our final hinged in tying drug abuse in youngsters to current life. This was around 1983. My roommate had the album, so I wrote down all the words to this. Made copies. Recorded this. I gave my presentation in class, then passed out the copies of words so everyone could follow along. Including my teacher. Then I played this song, and explained lyrics. At end, EVERYONE was silent and in a daze. I simply said. " We all just took a drug trip, but without the drugs tonight." The teacher looked at me and said, " You get am A+ for your final! I've NEVER seen or heard a presentation like this" Needless to say. Comfortably Numb is my favorite Pink Floyd song.
Such a great statement. With hearing Clapton trying to be the lead on waters’ pros and cons of hitchhiking, you can hear how outmatched he is compared to Gilmore. Taking nothing from Clapton, but trying to capture the emotion needed to express Rogers’ ideas is no easy task. Gilmore reigns supreme in the emotional expression category with that instrument and it’s not even close.
That was the first real concert I went to. 1994 CNE in Toronto. They are absolutely my favorite ever...Gilmour the absolute best!! When I tell people I went, I never say I went to thier concert...I always say it's an experience. I have watched this a million times. It's life changing every time. Little tid bit...I am 51 sooo...when cd's were cool. I remember standing in line waiting for the double CD to come out. I am in Canada so it was Sam The Record Man store. They had piles of these covering the widows as a display and other than the doors you couldn't see in cause there were so many. It was a double set that came in a nice book and jacket...then it inserted into a book sleeve...very nice. But the badass cool thing was they all had a pulsing red light built into the binding. I mean that's original. No excitement like that with digital age. I wish I would have bought a bunch cause it was original press. I bet that light flashed for 3 years. Good you boys appreciate 🍻
Background singers are there to sing the parts that he overdubbed for the album like the Beatles used to do. The difference is the Beatles didn't have the technology to reproduce this live. David Gilmour said The Beatles, greatest band of all time. They were recording at Abbey Road at the same time as the Beatles and sat in on Sergeant Pepper, didn't play but influenced
I was there and it was one hell of a concert. I had to go to the toilet for a pee during one of the songs. Thankfully it was empty. I started to relieve myself when an elderly guy stood next to me. I glanced to my left and it was no other than George Martin. While we were washing our hands I asked him if he was enjoying the show. He said "yes, they are very good". He said goodbye and left.
It does my old heart good to see men of this generation enjoying music of my generation. One doesn't merely listen to Pink Floyd. One EXPERIENCES Pink Floyd. Welcome aboard.
June, 1994 British Columbia, Canada.....BC Place Stadium, me and 54,000 of my closest friends were there. OMG it was amazing and as good as the video was the concert itself was soooooo much better than video and audio recordings can capture, Thanks so much for your amazing reactions, you guys are fun!!!
I wasn't at this performance, but I was at their performance at Texas Stadium... Essentially the same concert. And, yes, life changing. What you don't get from this video is that there are speakers all around the the stadium, making it a 360 degree experience. Freaking amazing sound!!!!!
Glad to see people discovering the music of my younger years. I have seen Floyd like 8 or 9 times, 3 times on this tour alone (although not at this particular show). I dont think any other band immerses you in the experience like Floyd. There is obviously the stage, but they have things going on behind you, above, all around you. Floating pigs, a plane that flies across and crashes. Add the lighting, the volume, the energy of the place, it really is life changing. I really feel sad that you guys, well all of us, will never get to be apart of something like this ever again. I am glad we have these recordings at least. I wish there were more from the older days.
Not just simply a British band, but the greatest Rock band in all of existence. My absolute #1 favorite. I saw Pink Floyd in the Summer of 1994 on the *Division Bell* tour (from which the *Pulse* album the following year was made) at Giants Stadium in East Rutherford NJ. Hands-down the greatest concert I've ever been to. Up till then, Pink Floyd had always been one of my 5 favorite bands of all-time but that concert proved that they were the absolute best and always will be. They became my #1 favorite band of all-time and are still that now, nearly 30 full years since that amazing show. I ❤ Pink Floyd.
the stunned silence at the end of that facemelting solo 🤣
Pink Floyd Forever Legend !!!!!
nobody talks about the speakers: 2 towers next to the stage, 1 towers on each side, and 2 towers in your back. WE were INSIDE the music 🥰 i am 56 and i have seen them live 7 times....nothing beats PF.
Oh what???? 7 times??? Faaaark!!! I've always missed them
I'm so spewing
Can we swap memories?
I like how you guys replayed the short solo, not even realizing what was yet to come.
I was excited about going to this concert, but none of my friends were interested, so I went by myself and had a fantastic time. After the concert, I decided it was time to find some better friends.
YESSSSSSSSSSSS
😂
Facts..😂😂
😂😂😂😂😂
still call them friends....? haha right ✅️
I was there at that very concert. AWESOME !!!
Hypnotizing
80,000 lights in that show! Unreal.
Music of the gods performed by the gods of music
Pink Floyd fans know you don't listen to there music you FEEL there music
Loved this. 🔥🤘😁🤘🔥
That was the best 'guitar face' I have seen in a reaction video yet!
Pink Floyd!!!❤❤❤❤❤

I DID see that live. Alamodome in Texas 1995!!!!!! Thank you gentlemen….!!!!
I can't imagine what it's like to put that many people into a trance and blow their minds like that
Man what a feeling

I seen them on this tour in Earls Court London. Best concert I've attended and I've been to many 🙂
Same. April 1994 in San Diego. I also still have the Pulse CD with the blinking LED.
You are a tuly blessed man for seeing this show.
Great performance
Got to see them twice… once in England and once here in Montreal,Canada and both times they blew us away.
Orgasmic! The only adjective I can bring to mind that describes this , especially the second solo.
What a beautiful heart felt comment
Me and my wife went to one of those shows. It was fantastic.
FEEL IT ,!! FOOD FOR YOUR SOUL XXX RESPECT PINK FLOYD THANK YOU THANK YOU FOR ALWAYS BEING IN MY LIFE XXX

saying it sounds like a fevered dream was such a perfect description
It just doesn't get any better than that!!!

yes a splendid version !
Love Pink Floyd! Adore this song!

Raymond - my opinion also, best solo ever.
You're absolutely right ✅️ not taking away from others, BUT THIS GUITAR SOLO WOW! THE BEST
It’s not an opinion. It’s facts.
This song, the solo specifically, this performance even more specifically, makes me cry. Every single time
that second solo is the most gut wrenching solo i have ever heard. Its such an amazing song. Great job giving it its credit.
Dave Gilmore is a GOD he's earned his place xxx THANK YOU THANK YOU FOR ALWAYS BEING PART MY LIFE XXXX RESPECT
Realy guys, It was fantástic, I was there, my life change after this concert!!!
From what I've seen, it could be the greatest indoor show ever.
I was there and you guys are right, it was heaven on earth 🌍
Pink Floyd and Classic Prog is always better Live, Prog has the Greatest musicians !! 👍🎼🎸🎹🥁🎻🎤🎶
Pink Floyd in concert is like no other.
I was there. 1994 in San Antonio at The Alamodome with 47,000 fans. Had 18th row seats on the floor and it was an experience of a lifetime!! Had also previously seen them in 1987 in Austin on the Momentary Lapse of Reason tour.
incredible reaction guys you are the best
Seen them in KC Arrowhead Stadium June of 94. Played for over 3 hours and the loudest concert I've ever been to.......ears rang for a week.
I've watched it maybe 200 times, and I still come away emotional
Was there at that concert at Earls Court London they brought the roof down it was a unbelievable performance.🇬🇧
My favorite part is what every reviewer does after watching this for the first time or even after: they just sit there and stare for a minute, which is the exact same thing I do when watching. I saw them at Freedom Hall for the Animals tour.......blow my mind !!!
The whole concert is on this level, literally every song is a masterpiece. Sorrow, High Hopes, Run Like Hell, Money,... heck, do the whole concert, you won't regret it.
^^^^^TRUTH^^^^
I don't know why, i think the solo from High Hopes is simmilar to the first solo from Comfortably Numb, it's only a feeling.
A masterpiece.
Guys, I was at this show in Raleigh, NC. Amazing, Best Show Ever!
Cool. Thanks for sharing.
Probably the most played video on TH-cam great song and spectacle. For me though it's still year of the cat as the best reaction by you guys lost count of the times I've viewed it.
I was there and yeah it was life changing to this day
The silence at the end of the video, as the three of you contemplate what you just witnessed and felt, was priceless.
I know I am seeing this 6 months after posting but I have NEVER seen a post including my 2 favorite things of all time in one video... Pink Floyd and the University of Kentucky. Just a fun fact... It was an amazing experience watching and listening to that solo at Rose Bowl in Pasadena
I live 15 mins away to where this concert was held and gutted that I missed it all,im really surprised you haven't reacted to sorrow from the same concert, guitar solo is amazing once again.
Saw this tour in Tampa. Lifelong Floyd fan. EVERYTIME I listen to this song it brings me to tears.
You just watched the greatest performance of the greatest guitar solo ever played. You guys couldn’t even believe what you saw. Amazing.
I've watched this video hundreds of times an it NEVER fails to move me!!😁😁🇬🇧
Best concert I ever went to. This tour in London 1994, which means I could be in the audience here. Saw them 4x in all.
I was there that night thank god ❤
Seen them in 88 in Toronto stadium best show ever and it was in quad sound speakers and lights everywhere
I was there. That one experience has made my life worth living.
I saw that concert in Montpellier in France and that was the best concert I had ever seen. Haha yo the dude in the middle GETS IT!!! During the entire 2nd solo and afterwards just the look of astonishment.
That was an eargasm and an eyegasm! Enjoyed your reaction guys. Ryan was almost speechless, lol. Pink Floyd in concert is an immersive experience. It is remarkable how good David Gilmour is. WOW!
nicely put!!!!!!!!!
I was there and I can honestly tell you it was mind-blowing!
Best solo from the best song from the best album
There is nothing like a live Pink Floyd concert.
and again guys, believe me, the two most brilliant groups are pink floyd and queen
It was amazing , I was there in 1994 Earls Court in London , a great concert arena but sadly the Earls Court arena is now gone, made way for blocks of flats !! But what a night to remember.

Anything from Pulse is exceptional and mind blowing!!
It was epic. Fortunately I was lucky enough to have been there. 👍❤🤙
I saw this live i Copenhagen 1994... blew my mind

I was at the 94' pulse concert... those lights spinning represented lighthouse lights for the "Distant ship smoke on the horizon"
I got an A+ in college from this song. I was in child development class and our final hinged in tying drug abuse in youngsters to current life. This was around 1983. A reporter once asked Eric Clapton what it was like to be the best guitarist in the world and he said you best ask David Gilmore.
Actually he said that about Terry Kath of Chicago.
cough cough Gilmour cough.
The mark of a master!
Then they asked David Gilmore and he said tommy Emanuel was the best
I was there at that concert,it was totally amazing, they were masters.
That was the first real concert I went to. 1994 CNE in Toronto. They are absolutely my favorite ever...Gilmour the absolute best!! When I tell people I went, I never say I went to thier concert...I always say it's an experience. I have watched this a million times. It's life changing every time.

I have seen MANY reactions to this song/video (because I think it's awesome) and this is by far the best!
I was there and it was one hell of a concert. I had to go to the toilet for a pee during one of the songs. Thankfully it was empty. I started to relieve myself when an elderly guy stood next to me. I was at the Pontiac silver dome when I saw them I have seen a lot of bands but this is still the best concert I have ever seen
I sparked up my pipe for this reaction, as I do to all Pink Floyd songs. Thanks

I saw them on the Division Bell Tour, 2nd row center at A.S.U. stadium. Just freaking incredible!!!
Imagine making that many people's HEARTS EXPAND !!!❤
David dressed up for the occasion - gotta’ love him.
CAN YOU IMAGINE BEING THERE
